Chapter 9

“They’re here for a part-time job. I’m just trying to send them away before things get worse,” the man said.

“This man is an idiot. We’re here to buy a helicopter,” Alex said.

“You still have the guts to say that? Only a blind man can’t tell what you came here for by what you guys wear. I’ve never seen our customers coming here with a taxicab.” Then the man looked at his manager. “Boss, I suspect they’re here to spy on this place. They would be a terrorist.”

Alex and Johnny exchanged glances in shock.

The manager stood before Johnny and sniffled. “A rat had died here.”

The man looked around. “I’ve never seen a rat here, boss. What are you talking about?”

Pointing to Johnny, the manager said, “You are smelling like a dead rat. Why are you here?”

“How dare you insult Esposito’s son?” Alex snapped back and realized he had said too much as Johnny gave him a look.

“Esposito’s son?” The manager laughed and clapped. “What a rotten Esposito’s son!”

“Should we deal with them?” a soldier asked the manager.

The manager raised his hand. “Not yet. This is the first time I met a funny poorest man.”

The man laughed hysterically. “This company belongs to Esposito. How would his son comes to buy the goods that belong to his father? They mustn’t escape. They are the wanted criminals.”

The manager furrowed his brow and shouted as he pointed at Johnny and Alex. “You won’t escape from here. Where did you hide Esposito’s son?”

Ten armies around came there and surrounded Johnny and Alex.

Getting down from the top of the helicopter, the man brought out his phone. “Must phone the police now. What did they want to do with the helicopter? How could they fly it?”

Alex wanted to react, but couldn’t. He waited for Johnny to do something. But Johnny watched the drama as if it didn’t concern him. Johnny even took out a cigarette, lit it, and puffed on it.

“Smoking is prohibited here.” A soldier stormed towards Johnny and wanted to break his arm.

Johnny dodged the attack and moved so fast enough to dig the burning cigarettes into the soldier’s eyes. The soldier erupted into crying and fell on the manager.

Johnny then took another cigarette out, kindling it. Alex grinned and relax his anger, knowing sure Johnny would take care of everything.

“Damned! Take this brat from me!” the manager said, trying to push the soldier off him onto the floor.

When the other soldiers were pulling the soldier off the manager, Alex whispered into Johnny’s ears. “I could hear the police’s siren. It would be better to run now that they’re distracted.”

“No. They have never seen my face before. I was looking good more than the day they saw me with a beard and rough hair.”

“What of your clothes? They know you always wear poor clothes.”

“I don’t care. This is my father’s company. I must take any helicopter from here today without paying a dime.”

Alex let out a heavy sigh as he pocketed. “Okay, boss.”

Many police cars dashed in as the soldiers were about to attack Johnny.

“Stop!” the manager commanded the soldier. “Just don’t let them escape. They must be arrested and be killed by the government.”

Many policemen gushed out of the parked cars, aiming their guns at Johnny and Alex.

At that moment, an officer opened a car door for an important person, and a beautiful woman stepped out. She was Valentina Esposito.
