ANDREW

"What have you done?" her father bellowed, his anger palpable through the phone. The sound of his hands slamming on the table made her jump. She had never heard him so furious before, and she was paralyzed with fear.

"Do you know how many years our family has stood strong without your help? We've been the oldest family to rise to fame in this city, maintaining our rank among the top ten for over a thousand years. But thanks to your actions, our family no longer exists!" Mrs. Hills could feel that her father's voice was cracked as he spoke. There was an excessive amount of pain rising through him at the moment.

Sandra's eyes widened in horror as she gazed at Mr. Patrick. "Could it be that he's the one who did this to us?" she thought, her mind racing. Just a minute ago, he made a call, and now her family is destroyed? She gulped, her heart pounding in her chest. What had she done? She was scared.

Mr. Patrick's power and control were overwhelming. He wasn't even among the top ten, but he could do this? Who was he really? Why had no one heard of him before?

Her father's words echoed in her mind. "If you don't want to be poor, apologize to Mr. Andrew now. Or I'll disown you and send people to kill you for what you've done. That's the least I can do."

Sandra wanted to scream, "Dad! Dad!" but her voice was stuck. She stared at Mr. Patrick and Andrew with fear-filled eyes. Her pitiful gaze was gone, replaced by absolute terror.

She was trapped, and her world was crumbling. Mr. Patrick's calm demeanor made her blood run cold. Who was this man, and what had she unleashed?

As Sandra approached Mr. Patrick, everyone anticipated a confrontational slap or a fiery outburst.

However, in a shocking turn of events, she collapsed to her knees before him, her body language screaming surrender. "Please forgive me," she begged, her voice trembling. "If I had known you were someone so powerful, I would never have acted so irrationally." The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on the unexpected scene.

Andrew's expression twisted in disgust as he let out a bitter chuckle. "So, if it had been someone else, you would have gotten away with it all because of your wealth and influence? You want my daughter dead? How pathetic." His words dripped with contempt.

The onlookers were perplexed, struggling to comprehend the unfolding drama. But Mr. Hills, who had been within earshot of the phone call, pieced together the puzzle. He understood the magnitude of Sandra's mistake and the devastating consequences that had unfolded. His eyes widened as he grasped the reality of the situation, he wished everything would be resolved immediately to avoid any sort of back and forth. He didn't want to be on their blacklist.

Mr. Hills had anticipated that Sandra's hasty pursuit of revenge would lead to severe consequences, but he had not expected a butler to wield such immense power, capable of dismantling their family's entire legacy within mere seconds. The thought sent shivers down his spine as he wondered about the unfathomable power of the original heir. His gaze shifted to Andrew, and his eyes widened in awe.

Just then, Austin, who had been observing the scene in confusion, began to protest, "You both don't expect me to..." But before he could even finish his sentence, a swift and deadly slap landed on his face, rendering him speechless. The force of the slap was so severe that it seemed to reverberate through the air, leaving everyone in stunned silence.

The sound of the slap echoed through the room, reminding especially Austin himself of the dramatic power shift that had occurred. Mr. Hills' eyes darted between Andrew and the butler. And the once-confident Sandra now seemed feeble, her knees still planted on the ground as she gazed up at the butler shaking like a dead leaf.

The five fingers were firmly imprinted on his face at the moment and he looked way out of this world.

He turned to see who had slapped him and it eventually turned out that it had been from his mother, getting him even more stunned.

This lady had never even yelled at him since the day that he was born. His heart was filled with fear as his face burned with pain.

He could not cry because Dora’s eyes were pinned on him and he didn't want to make himself seem more weak. The only thing he could do at that point was to bottle it up.

"One more word from you and you are going to be a roasted stake. Isn't it enough that you caused all this problems already?" Her voice was a mixture of anger and shame.

"If you don't want more of that, you should get on your knees already, else!”

He frightenedly fell down to the floor with tears in his eyes while Sandra returned her gaze back to Mr. Andrew's.

"Please sir, forgive his manners, I had not trained him properly."

Andrew didn't say anything. It was not like the lady that was speaking was any different from her child anyway.

He turned towards Mr. Hills. He knew that he was blinded after searching for a son for quite a while. But that wasn't a reason to make him lose.

"Hillsborough, your child needs training if you want him to continue being your heir. I want you to make him go through poverty training. If he survives after seven years. He can be your heir." He proposed.

"Yes sir. I am going to get to that right away." Mr. Hills assured.

Austin wanted to protest and call this treatment inhumane. But he didn't dare to speak and his tongue was tied to the roof of his mouth.

After which, Andrew turned back to the doctor. He shivered even more and Andrew spoke to him in a mild tone.

"I don't want any trouble doctor Williams and I know nothing of what happened is your fault. Just want my daughter in good health. Please take good care of her and proceed with her treatment."

"Okay.. O…okayy…sir." He stammered.

Andrew felt the atmosphere in the room becoming increasingly uncomfortable until his daughter Dora tapped him on the shoulder and asked with a sweet smile, "Dad, are you okay?" He knelt down and kissed her forehead, reassuring her, "Don't worry about me, dear, I am more focused on you getting well, I will be just fine."

Andrew instantly noticed that Dora was breathing heavily and needed medical attention right away. He said, "I'll let Doctor Williams take care of you, and he'll make sure you're okay." Andrew wanted to make sure his daughter received the help she needed, and entrusting her to the doctor's care eased his own worries.

The doctor stepped forward and smiled shyly at Dora. "Don't worry Dora. You are in good hands." He held her hands and Dora smiled.

The relationship between the two was more than that of just a doctor and their patient, it was much more special and it made Andrew comfortable and reassured.

She nodded with a smile as the doctor took her in his hands and took her away.

Now that they were the only one left, Andrew turned around towards everyone and said.

"As I have said earlier, I do not have any troubles." He emphasized and turned to leave

Meanwhile, Mr. Patrick followed him closely from behind yelling out the young master but he didn't stop until they were in a less crowded area.

"Mr. Patrick. I have to thank you for everything that you did for me and my daughter today. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart." Andrew appreciated it before going ahead.

"But don't you think that you went a little bit extra? Is that the family's way of saying that they still want me back? Or want me to feel guilty and return myself?"

First he only asked for treatment while Mr. Patrick asked for his child to be taken to the exclusive ward.

And then, he had taken down one of the most powerful companies in the city. Even though it was just a call, Andrew knew that he had gone through a lot to make that happen or at least give something more in exchange.

"Why don't you tell me what you really want for helping me at this instant? Is there some wish that they want me to fulfill that will lead me to my death, just like my parents?" He inquired, his voice was mixed with a mixture of pain and anger.

Mr. Patrick sighed.

"There is a lot that we need to talk about young master so I am going to start with this."

"First young master, I want you to know that I am not from the family, rather I am here for you." Mr. Patrick revealed.

How can I be this forgetful these days?" Andrew lamented to himself. He knew going back to get the car would be a lost cause because already the car would have been stolen because he had kept the key to the car carelessly for any lucky thief to find.
