Back at Andrew's Base...
All startled, the past few minutes for him had been confusing. He paced the room for the umpteenth time, gazing at his watch. “Are you certain she made it to the plane?" Apparently, he was waiting for that report that'd tell him about that woman, Katrina, but till now… Nothing! The mere thought of this going wrong filled the back of his mind with anxiety. He sighs. There, where Andrew sat, images from the previous moment clouded through his mind. He pushed himself with the back of his hands, popping himself up where he was leaning against the window. “I got the tickets myself and I saw her walk into that plane.” He gazed down at his friend utterly confused about his next approach. If he came off too hard, he might think of him as acting unruly and overreacting. For the next brief moment, none of them said anything. The brief moment of solemnity is disturbed as the sound of a knock comes in perfect interludes with the sound of two light thuds from the door. Both men turned to look anxiously as Mason walked into the room. “Anything yet?" Andrew asked, filled with anticipation. His initial action was to walk closer to his boss as though what he might say required secrecy. “Nothing yet, but the men are out looking Incase… I'd let you know if anything comes up.” "I told you, you messed this up… I am not sure she got to the plane. She must've outsmarted you." Andrew turns to Baron. "I still find that hard to believe, because I personally watched her get in." Baron turns away from the window as Andrew makes way to where he was. Andrew groans and rolls his eyes. “Just admit it. You made a mistake, anyone can… I should've appointed Mason. Guess I underestimated her.” Andrew pointed out. He seemed suddenly tense. Of course, Mason noticed it. He is his master after all. He walked away, and in seconds, he returned with a cup of liquor. “This would help you calm down." He muttered. He poured a cup and handed it to him. Andrew stared at it for a while before sipping the hot drink, dropping it off back on the tray. "What are your plans, what is going to be our next action, Master?" Mason asked, picking up the cup and dropping it back off from where he had picked it. "To be honest, I have no idea. I just want to keep being the CEO of Verizon for a little more while." he muttered. "Guess that is now a thing of the past because for all I know, she might be with that cunny woman now.” “Oh, it is all my fault. If that happens I will take the blame. I should've been more careful." His friend, Baron, injected it. “It is not everyone's fault like I said, I just want some quiet days." "Talking about quiet days, when are we going to reappoint a new P A?” “Is that really important now?" Andrew questioned. "I feel so. After getting rid of those workers that ain't loyal to our cause, we need to replace them.” Mason suggested. “Well that wouldn't be a bad suggestion, it would help us take our mind off all these dramas." Baron, who had been quiet all this while chimed in. “Very well. You can send notice and invitation out for likely candidates, you know what I want." Andrew muttered while clasping his fingers. “Done that already." "Really?" He sounded a bit astonished. "Yeah, I don't know, but I figured you needed it and might've been too busy to ask, so I took care of it." Mason replies. Andrew rolled his eyes. "Well then, I don't want any mistakes this time. I need the very best..." Baron, who can hear the irritation in his friend's voice, sighs as well. One part of him was finding it hard to understand why he so much was bent on hiding his identity as it was obvious he was still mad about the woman that was still missing so far. Mason excuses himself and walks out. Left alone, they resumed talking. "I see that you are still annoyed about that incident." Baron Stated. "I am...” "Well, kill that thinking." Andrew pointed out. "This could have been anyone, and I want you to know that I am not mad. I just don't want this to mess up my plan.” "I need to get going as well.” Baron stood up from where he had been. ”Call me if you need anything." "Yeah don't think that would be for a while, I'd still sleep for a while." He groaned heavily as he covered his face again with his hands and let out a sigh. “Well, call me if you get any news." The door closes behind him leaving Andrew alone in the room to reflect. With Mason and his friend long gone the room again is filled with silence. He let his mind drift back to the time in the past when all he had faced from this so-called ex wife was humiliation. “Damn woman." He gritted through his teeth. He pulled himself out from his bed and walked over to the window staring out into the other end and the front porch that were being groomed. All he wanted at that point was a channel to let out all of these dark feelings in his soul as days like this left him cranky, but definitely not tonight off late. He thought there was a need for him to distract himself. There was a need for him to forget about how close he had been to her in the past and how he wanted to be himself. He had no regrets. He felt no remorse. All he wanted was revenge and most definitely, he was going to get it, because he is Andrew, and what he wants, he always gets. Regardless, there was a need for him to distract himself. With that last thought in his mind, he decided to push every thought of her away from his mind and explore the garden. He walked over to the garden still in a robe and unlocked the double mahogany door from outside before walking in. Soon as he was in, he was met with an obscene amount of dust, coughing as he waves hands before walking deeper in. In a way he wanted to hide in the damn garden. It was the only place that still felt untouched, a place where he had his time to himself, the only place he had any sanity. His phone buzzed and he was surprised to see that he had several missed calls from Mason, but he can’t bring himself to call him back at the moment. In a way, he felt he wasn't ready for the questions and answers, so he sent him a message instead. Andrew:“Would call you when I am done. “ He was about to turn off his phone and tried not to think of what the message was when another notification popped up on his phone. He wanted to ignore it but sighs before clicking it open. Mason: “Target escaped. No news so far." A feeling of anxiety and shock looked to fill everywhere at the back of his mind. One thing was certain: someone must've helped her out, but could it be Baron? In a way, the thought lingers in his heart, leaving him even more confused. Shrugging he decides in his mind that it was all in his head. He ignores the feeling and walks away almost admitting to himself that he was losing his mind. "I don't think Baron can do something like this?" He was puzzled. Wondering if he trusted his best friend enough to know he can't do anything silly. Those thoughts were still in his mind as he held onto the phone for a while. Different thoughts filled his mind, most prominent about it was the fact that had been here as well. How much does she know? All these thoughts filled his mind till he stormed out of the garden in a rage. His mind was rattled. He thinks of how he would come to terms with the fact that his ex wife might be aware of the fact that he was the CEO. The thought alone felt like a prang deep in his chest. He picks up his phone and puts it through to him. "I need you back here." "But—" "No excuses," he commands. "Be here, Now!"

Beneath The Silence
Rain still tapped the windows along with the tick of the clock but Andrew stood frozen, his jaw clenched so tightly it ached. His mind was rattled, this was definitely something and the empty spot where the car had been was a clue.He stared at the empty spot where the car had been minutes ago, its absence leaving a deep pain in his heart.“I can't believe all of this." He ran his hands over his face in disbelief as a surge of fury exploded in his chest as he turned and punched the nearest wall, the sharp pain grounding him just enough.“Goddammit,” he muttered, punching out a number on his smart military watch and dialing Mason's number. It rang once. Twice.“Mason here,” came the familiar voice.“I need you. Now. At Verizon. I think we’ve had a breach.”Silence for a second.“Breach?” He stalled for a minute. " What kind of breach?”“The kind I can't explain yet. But someone was here. I saw the shadow on the hallway feed. And now… nothing. They’re gone. I need you to lock down eve
Shadow And Truth
The air inside the Verizon building had shifted and it all started the moment Andrew had spotted the car. For some reason he couldn't just get it off his mind.“Something seems off…” He muttered, taking a step backward. For what felt like a minute of eternity he listened evenly. If he could hear anything with his years in the military, he would be able to pick any slight sound. Sighing he shrugged his shoulders, there was nothing afterall…There was nothing but solace and quietness that filled the room. There was no music playing, no soft hum of janitors working through their routine. Just the dull throb of the emergency lights and the faint creak of something far away. As he moved slowly towards the sounds, Andrew slowed his steps as he reached the fifth-floor landing, every muscle in his body tense at the anticipation for what was to comeSomething was off. He could feel it in the way the building was quiet, too quiet. And he couldn't let it go.He paused again near the fire exit d
Into Verizon
It had been tiring for Lizzy at this point, she was out of options…She had to carry out her most pending plan regardless of what it felt like, risk or not.Looking out of the window of the cafe lost for a while, she took a quick look at her watch.Burke was running late as usual. She kissed her teeth in disapproval before getting lost again in the other world.Outside the sky hung heavy with dark clouds that promised a threat of rain. The Streetlights cast it shimmering light right to where she took every breath and turned at every footstep. She sat at the far end of a dimly lit cafe, enough to be hidden from everyone else but him, her eyes kept flickering between the entrance and the half-empty cup in her hand. So far the place was quiet with just a few sounds from her fingers that tapped against the ceramic mug rhythmically.“What the hell, why is he taking eternity!" She grumbles. She picks up her phone and dials his cell. "Hello, what is taking you too long? Just tell me if…”S
Echoes In The Dark
It had been hours since the team began working, and the energy inside the room was tense, but focused. As they worked tirelessly, only one thing was at the back of their individual mind and that was finding that bit of the missing puzzle:Who was this anonymous man?The question imprinted a deep worry on Andrew who sat at the far end of the room, quietly observing everyone move from screen to screen, map to map, piecing fragments together. The silence in his mind, however, was deceptive. As deep in it, was something else… Something very disturbing that he didn't know how to pin at that moment, was this another plot from Lizzy?Every possibility spun inside his head like a carousel he couldn’t get off questions, half-formed answers, that was racing through the depth of his mind. The thought that someone might be out there wearing his face, using his name, walking in his shadow, disturbed him more than he admitted aloud…Mason walked over, and placed a cup of coffee in front of him.
Return And Revelation
Soon, they left the detention facility behind as the car surged forward. Andrew barely noticed the passing scenery, or Mason's conversation with someone over the phone. Thoughts of what had just happened wouldn't leave his head. After a while, Mason turned slightly to face him and said, "Are you okay, Master? You seem... distracted.""Of course I am," Andrew snapped, and went on to tell him about the person Carl said was posing as him. Mason's eyes grew wider as he listened. "The impostor somehow knew, and then used my security codes before vanishing without a trace," Andrew finished in a low growl. "Without a trace," Mason repeated slowly. "Forgive me but I find that hard to believe. This misidentification thing is just an excuse if you ask me."Andrew nodded. Mason had just spoken his mind. "Yes... I think so too," he agreed. *******Baron was standing outside the building when Andrew and Mason arrived."Finally!" he exclaimed upon seeing Andrew. He heaved a sigh of relief a
Dopple What?
For what felt like an eternity, Andrew stood still at the spot, his face bewildered with shock and anxiety with both feelings leaving him in a thrill.“This is not possible, you should be dead!" He grimaced. He ran his fingers through his already ruffled hair as he could feel a rush of adrenaline through his blood stream that brought his heart beat almost to a halt.“Well, Commander…I must say you are the last person that I was expecting to see here.” Carl turned to the man close to where he was and whispered something inaudibly. The man gave a nod and walked away leaving the two men alone.Carl clears his throat. "I just asked that he reconfirm if we have the right person, there was no way I could have missed your name …” he sighs. " Though I never checked to see who we were going after, you know how it is for a bounty hunter like myself.” Andrew clenches his fist in anger or malice but a sense of understanding at how frustrating the situation was turning out to be.“It is fine, I
