Chapter 1
AT THE BIRTHDAY PARTY
The email hit Ethan’s inbox at 10:37 p.m.
Subject line: “Stop calling, your wife is busy.”
Ethan frowned. He had already called his wife more than a dozen times, but received no response. And now, this strange email had suddenly appeared in his inbox.
Ethan opened the video attached to the email, and immediately, a string of obscene sounds filled the air: A half-dressed woman appeared on screen, clearly enjoying herself with a man!
"Who’s behind this sick joke?!" Ethan snapped, anger rising. But just as he was about to close the video, he noticed a distinctive tattoo on the woman in the video.
In that instant, his blood ran cold.
That small, distinct moonflower inked on her back!
That tattoo was incredibly unique—only he and Sierra knew about it. Which meant… the video couldn’t possibly be AI-generated!
Ethan’s hands trembled. In the video, the woman was bent over a desk. That was Sierra’s office desk. Even their photo together was clearly visible beside it!
Every detail in the video pushed Ethan closer to the brink of collapse. He couldn’t accept what he was seeing and quickly shut the video off.
Then, he looked at the sender of the email: Marcus Lang.
Wasn’t that the business partner Sierra had mentioned recently?
Ethan was seething. The truth was, Sierra didn’t need any business partner—because Ethan himself was her biggest partner.
He owned Nova Pact, the largest company in the entire city, which also happened to be Sierra’s most important collaborator.
But Sierra didn’t know his true identity...or even worse, she simply didn’t care.
Ethan slumped onto the couch, drained of all strength, and let out a bitter laugh.
Suddenly, the front door banged open.
Sierra stumbled in, her heels clicking unevenly across the marble floor, a bottle still dangling from her fingertips.
“You’re still up?” she slurred, wrinkling her nose as she spotted him.
“Ugh. Figures. God, Ethan, you have one job—keep the house clean and not be in my way. You can’t even do that, huh?”
She tossed her heels aside, slumping into the couch.
Ethan stood still, eerily calm.
"Where were you?" Ethan asked coldly, his tone sharp enough to make Sierra feel instantly uneasy.
Sierra rolled her eyes and snapped back with a sneer, "Where was I? Obviously working—working to support a useless man like you! I stay late at the office every night, and you? All you do is sit at home enjoying the fruits of my labor. What right do you have to question me?"
Ethan looked at her with deep disappointment. Without a word, he turned his laptop around and hit play on the video he had received.
"Working, huh? This is what you call work? Fooling around with another man in your office?"
His voice was icy and filled with fury. Sierra’s heart skipped a beat as panic crept in.
"Wh—where did you get that?!" she shouted, trying to cover her panic with outrage. "Did you hire a hacker to break into Marcus’s phone? Or get a private investigator to spy on me? We're husband and wife—shouldn't we trust each other?!"
"I never said the man in the video was Marcus, thanks for telling." Ethan replied calmly.
But behind that calm, it was clear—his heart was already in pieces.
"I…" Sierra was at a loss for words. Something flickered in her eyes—guilt? Panic?
She recovered quickly.
She crossed her arms, chin lifting.
“So what? You want an apology? Please. Grow up.”
His eyes narrowed.
“You think this is about an apology?”
She rolled her eyes.
“Look, maybe if you weren’t so dull, always waiting for me like a houseplant, I wouldn’t have needed someone who actually felt like a man.”
Ethan blinked.
“A man?”
“Yes, Ethan. A real man. Not someone who hides behind spreadsheets and takes orders like a trained dog. You think standing by me means you’re strong? No, it just made you a doormat.”
Something twisted inside him.
"Enough, Sierra!" Ethan suddenly raised his voice, cutting off her relentless rant.
"If that's really how you feel, then let's get a divorce." He took a deep breath, the decision finally solidifying in his chest.
Sierra stared at him and burst into a mocking laugh.
"Divorce? You think you're even qualified to bring up that word with me? Without me, who’s going to fund your little life? Who's going to let you sit at home doing nothing but spend money like a leech?"
"Stop playing your little games. As long as you stay obedient and keep your mouth shut at home, you’ll have more money than you can ever spend. And as for me, I’ll sleep with whoever I want! If you can’t make money, then you don’t get a say in how I live!"
Her words dripped with scorn, and to Ethan, she felt like a stranger. She hadn't always been like this.
Disappointed, he said, "That’s enough, Sierra. I’m not playing any games. I’ll say it again: I WANT A DIVORCE."
Sierra scoffed, her tone even more disdainful. "You know damn well the company is about to sign a new deal with Nova Corp. We can't afford any negative press right now. You're only bold enough to bring up divorce because you know I won't allow it at such a critical time, right?"
“God, Ethan. You really are pathetic. Using this like some power play. What, did you finally grow a spine?”
His fists clenched at his sides.
“You think I’d use your affair as leverage? After everything?”
Sierra smirked, cold and taunting.
“You already did. This little display, this whole self-righteous moment, don’t act like it’s about heartbreak. You saw the timing, and now you’re trying to sabotage me.”
Ethan was silent.
Then he said,
“What deal are you worried about? You never even acknowledged me as your husband. Not once. Not to your friends. Not online. Not in public. You don’t wear a ring. I’m your little secret, remember? So how would a divorce change anything?”
Sierra opened her mouth, stunned to find that she had no comeback.
Yes, they'd been married for years, yet she had never gone public with it. Some of her closest friends didn’t even know she had a husband.
The realization darkened her expression. Her voice turned cold and sinister.
"So... you're serious about the divorce?"
"I'm not in the mood to joke with you," Ethan replied calmly. "I don't want a single cent from you. I just want the divorce."
"Hah! I didn’t think a coward like you had it in you!" Sierra suddenly burst into laughter. "Fine by me. You’re useless to me anyway. Marcus can get me a better contract with Nova Corp. And you? All you do is laze around the house like a bum!"
"And don’t blame me for never announcing our marriage. Honestly, you’re not even presentable. I’m a rising star in the business world, a commercial prodigy. And you? Just a pathetic househusband who cooks and cleans!"
Sierra’s laugh was sharp and scornful. But Ethan ignored her mockery. He walked into the bedroom and returned with a stack of documents—the divorce papers he had already prepared.
"Sign it. Once it’s done, we’re through," Ethan said flatly.
Sierra flipped the file open and saw his signature already in place. She skimmed through the terms—sure enough, Ethan hadn’t asked for anything. That surprised her for a second, but she quickly grinned. To her, this was the best outcome.
"Fine. Just remember—after we divorce, don’t go around telling people you were my husband. I can’t afford that embarrassment." She signed the papers and flung them back at him carelessly.
Ethan tucked the papers away and replied coolly,
"Don’t worry. I wouldn’t want anyone to know I ever married someone like you. It’s the biggest disgrace of my life."
"You—!" Sierra was livid. She was a high-powered CEO, and Ethan was just a kept man. How dare he speak to her like that?
"All talk," she sneered. "If you were half as capable as Marcus, you wouldn't be in this mess! He actually got me the deal with Nova Corp!"
"You said Marcus got you that deal with Nova Corp, right?" Ethan said coldly. "Then I hope he keeps it. Just don’t be surprised if Nova terminates the contract."
Sierra let out a scornful laugh. "Keep dreaming. Marcus is Nova Corp’s manager. He’s not like you full of empty bravado!"
Ethan chuckled, genuinely amused by her confidence.
She had never cared to find out the truth that the man she just mocked, Ethan Storm, was actually the owner of Nova Pact, the biggest company in the city. His name had appeared many times on Nova Pact's internal VIP guest lists.
If Sierra had ever cared enough to look, she would’ve known the truth.
But she never had. And now, it was too late.
Without another word, Ethan turned and walked away.
The night air hit his face as he stepped outside.
He didn’t look back.
Not at the house.
Not at her.
Each step forward felt like breathing again.
Then—
A sleek black luxury car pulled up beside him.
The door opened.
A woman stepped out—elegant, poised, radiant.
She walked straight to Ethan and bowed slightly, voice soft but sincere.
“Excuse me, Sir!”

The authorities have instructed us not to sell the house to you." "What the heck are you talking about? What authorities?! Look, don't play games with me, man. THE REVENGE OF ELVIS KLEIN TAKING OVER
The next day Elvis decided to visit The Elites' Estate. He had to start a new life now that his status had changed. On arrival at the estate, he met with the security guards who greeted him with so much respect as soon as he introduced himself. Mr. Paul Klein had called them earlier to inform them that Elvis was the new owner of the estate so he was going to be coming around. Therefore, as soon as Elvis introduced himself, they welcomed and bowed to him in respect. Elvis was dumbstruck by all he saw. The estate was magnificent, sprawling over acres of meticulously landscaped grounds, offering a breathtaking blend of natural beauty and architectural elegance. The mansion stood tall with its breathtaking ornate architecture. As Elvis approached the mansion, he noticed a sleek black car parked in front of the houses that lined the estate. It was a car that looked very familiar - the same white Ford vehicle he had seen at Mr. Dwayne's birthday party. He could tell by the plate numbe

THE REVENGE OF ELVIS KLEIN NEVER WILL
As the conversation between Elvis and Mr Paul continued, the tranquillity of the room was shattered by the sharp ring of Elvis's phone. Elvis's expression shifted from attentive engagement to reluctant distraction. The device was illuminated with the name "Leslie." Elvis furrowed his brows in surprise, wondering what his betrayer-wife was calling for. "Apologies, Uncle Paul," he said as he picked up the call. Almost immediately, he heard Leslie's voice. "Elvis Klein, you loser and low-life!" Elvis's eyes widened in shock at the sudden barrage of insults. He had anticipated a conversation and not a verbal assault. "Are you out of your mind?" Elvis confronted. "Well, I just addressed you by your names. Or have you forgotten them so quickly? Anyway, my lawyer has the divorce papers ready, so get ready to sign them this afternoon." "Thank you for letting me know," Elvis smiled. He was not bothered about the divorce. What was the point in keeping a slut as a wife, anyway? Anoth

THE REVENGE OF ELVIS KLEIN THE GRAND EMPIRE
Hansen, Mr Paul Klein's special assistant led him through a series of opulent hallways until they reached a set of double doors which he pushed open to reveal a lavishly furnished study. The room was a symphony of rich wood and leather, with bookshelves lining the walls from floor to ceiling. Behind an imposing mahogany desk sat Elvis' Uncle, a middle-aged man with salt-and-pepper hair and a perfectly tailored suit. "Elvis," Paul's voice was warm, his smile genuine, as he rose from his seat to approach Elvis. "It's been far too long." Paul enveloped Elvis in a warm hug. Elvis had always expected his uncle to be aloof, at least, a bit cold. But this display of affection was unexpected and comforting. "I apologize for not reaching out sooner," Paul said as they took their seats. "You see after your parents passed away, I lost track of you. I didn't know where you were or what had happened to you. For years, I searched, but I couldn't find you." Elvis felt a twinge of confusion. A

THE REVENGE OF ELVIS KLEIN ONE BILLION DOLLARS!
Still wearing tattered clothes, Elvis strode into the grand marble-floored bank, determined. The chandelier sparkled above him, and the air was filled with sounds of laughter, and prosperity. However, as soon as he entered, he noticed the indifferent glances from the bank staff. "Good morning. I'm here to open an account," Elvis announced, but the staff members who heard him acted as if he was invisible. In a split second, a customer walked up to the counter close to where Elvis was standing. "Hello, Miss. I'd like to open an account," the young man announced. He was wearing a designer suit and shoes. "You're very welcome, sir. Please take a seat," The staff answered quickly, as she brought out a form and swiftly attended to the wealthy man, with a smile. She was Helena Smith, one of the customer care representatives. She was a beautiful lady with a curvaceous body. Undeterred, Elvis stood in line, waiting for his turn to speak with the representative. He watched as others who c

THE REVENGE OF ELVIS KLEIN REAL OR FAKE?
Elvis could understand that it was Leslie who gave the security such an instruction. It was getting dark, almost 8 p.m. Elvis needed a place to rest his head until the next morning. He tried calling his closest friend and colleague at Toner Associates, but he couldn't reach him on the phone. He walked up to the company where he was yet to be sacked, if he would be given a place to lay his head for the night. After all, he still worked for them. After walking down the road, he arrived at Jensen's Company. Mr Klein, what are you doing here at this time of the night?" the gatekeeper asked. Even though Elvis was a familiar face in the company and known as a cleaner, he wasn't expected to be seen around the company premises at that time of the night. Mr. Jones, please, I need a place to sleep for the night. Can I sleep in the company's lounge until dawn?" "No, please. I was told not to let anyone in after the working hours." "But I work here, and you know me well. I just need a pla
