Ding

A sound startled him, and then a notification with a black screen showed up in front of him.

[A Quest has started]

[Travel to the North of Alzonian Empire]

[Time Limit: 1 month]

[Reward: 50 XP, ten coins]

[Penalty: System Removal (Death)]

Alton was shocked seeing this and started shouting in his mind; Alton then in his mind, 'System, can I talk to you this way.'

A reply came, 'Yes, Host, the system is linked with your soul; you don't need to open your mouth to communicate with me.' Alton then shouted, 'What is this Quest?'

A reply came 'Host Quests are created by the system for you to become powerful so kindly complete the request.'

Alton said, 'But why do I have to travel to North?' The system replied, 'The Host doesn't have enough privilege for the information kindly level up.' The system went silent and didn't say anything more. Alton wanted to ask a few more questions, but he knew that system would not answer.

Alton looked at his father with a smile, sitting opposite him and thinking he had come here just for a greeting and wanted to have a small talk but now has to follow this system.

Alton and Aldwin were sitting in silence when the door to study opened; they both looked in the direction of the door and saw. A woman in her thirties with pure white skin, long blue hair which got to her waist, and blue eyes, a perfect body with curves in the right place was standing at the door, and Maria was with her. The woman was Aria Von Teren Alton's mother and Aldwin's wife.

Aldwin and Alton stood up, seeing the figure. Aldwin looked at her and said, "Aria, hurry, come here." Aria moved her eyes around the room and noticed Alton, who said, "Good morning, mother." Aria kept looking at Alton while walking toward Aldwin, and she was also in a daze about why Alton was in Aldwin's study.

As Aria reached Aldwin, she asked them, "So why did you call me here?" Aldwin looked at Maria and said, "Close the door and stand inside." Maria obeyed the order and closed the door, and now only four people were in the room Aldwin, Aria, Alton, and Maria.

Aldwin looked at Aria and said, "Alton wants to travel to the North." Aria and Maria were shocked to hear this because Alton never wanted to leave his room, and now he wanted to travel North; Aria then looked at Alton and asked, "Why do you want to travel to North?"

The same question was in Maria's mind when Alton replied, "I have heard about the beauty of North and that is the reason I want to go there."

Aria's face was shocked and angry because her motherly instincts told her that Alton was hiding something when she said, "Alton, come clean with me; why do you want to go to North."

Alton knew that his mother and father would not let him go, and his parents would immediately see that he was lying when Alton, in a cold voice, said, "To get strong."

Aldwin, Aria, and Maria were shocked once again; one reason was his words, and the second was his cold voice; Aldwin then said, "You can get strong here as well, can you not?"

Alton nodded in denial and said, "I have found a way to make my body strong but for it I need to travel to North."

Aria asked, "What way tell me you know that there is cold in North and it is covered in snow for more than half a year and not to mention there are demonic beasts mountain near the north you know that it is not a safe place."

Alton looked at her in the eyes ad replied, "I saw a vision that I will get strong in North." Alton had come up with this reason because if he said that he had a system that told him, Alton would be called a retard, and Alton didn't leave the house so that he could say that he met a person and he told him to go to the north to get strong, so the only reason he could say was that he saw a vision.

Aria and Aldwin looked at each other, thinking that their son had finally lost it, but when Aria looked at Alton's eyes, she saw something which she had not seen in his eyes for a long time; it was a determination to do something a fire had finally lit in his heart.

Aria smiled seeing this and thought to herself that her son was finally growing up and then said, "Okay, so when do you want to leave."

Aldwin and Maria looked at Aria, who was smiling at Alton, and Alton was smiling back at her. Alton replied, "Next week, but I will only take Maria with me, not a single person more."

Aria was surprised but understood that Maria was the only person he could trust, and the reason he didn't want anyone else was because no one liked him and cared for him other than Maria. Aldwin looked at Alton with a serious face and asked, "So, for how long will you be staying there."

Alton looked at him and answered, "I am currently 14 right now and I will have to join the royal academy at the age of 18 when all the nobles children become adults for my further study so I will stay in North until then."

Aria said "Alton" and looked at Alton with a smile which showed that if he did not fix the time to come back this instant, he would regret it; this smile even made his father scared, and then Alton replied, "Just joking I will stay until my seventeenth birthday and then I will be with you guys until my departure to the academy."

Aria wanted him to reduce the time of stay there but Aldwin said, "Okay, I will make the preparations."
