There was total s after Alessia was basked in the light. The doctor outside the van and some nearby people saw the light. It was not the first so they weren't bothered.

What the wanted to see was it Alessia was going to make it and if she did, then Jason had done it again.

That was the first thing Alessia noticed as she slowly drifted back into consciousness. No beeping machines. No painful pressure in her chest. Just silence—and warmth. It felt like she was wrapped in sunlight, floating.

Then, she heard his voice.

“Alessia... please, wake up.”

Jason.

Her lashes fluttered, and she opened her eyes slowly. The fluorescent lights above her swirled into view, and the familiar lines of Jason’s worried face came into focus. His hands were still on her torso, glowing faintly—though his face was pale, beads of sweat dripping from his forehead.

“Jason…” she whispered, her voice hoarse. “You did it…”

Jason’s breathing was erratic, his body trembling slightly. “You're okay,” he whispered, brush

You mean I am some kind of robot?" Anna asked dropping to the chair behind her. " I am sorry to break this to you, Miss Anna but that is the only thing I can come up with. Raven stepped out of the car, his instincts kicking in like a fire alarm in the quiet rhythm of the afternoon. The sun had dimmed slightly behind a stretch of clouds, casting the alley and café entrance in a mellow grey. But it wasn’t the weather that made his chest tighten—it was the SUV. Matte black, with tinted windows that reflected nothing but menace. He slipped his shades on, scanning the vehicle without turning his head. He’d been in this game long enough to know what a stakeout looked like. And that SUV didn’t belong to a nosy journalist or an overprotective boss. No. That was military-grade tint. Modified plates. Engine still running.Raven’s jaw clenched as he slowly circled to the back of the café, pretending to light a cigarette. He tilted his head, catching movement behind the driver’s side window—barely a flicker of a figure. He tapped the small comms device in his ear, disguised as a Bluetooth earpiece.“Marco,” he murmured.A moment later, the older man’s voice cr

The scent of coffee clung faintly to the early morning air as the city stirred awake. In Unit 3C of the modest complex, Anna stood by her small kitchen counter, stirring a cup of black tea, her motions slow and mechanical. Her eyes were distant, fixated on something beyond the confines of her one-bedroom apartment. Something deeper. Something unreachable. The dreams, headaches and the constant looking over her shoulders. She had seen her getting attracted to his pictures on television. The healer. A man who could heal wth just a touch. But why does she have to feel that way? Why does she have to feel connected to a man she knows nothing about? She’d had that dream again—the one where the walls closed in and voices screamed her name through fire and blood. A man’s arms wrapped tightly around her, holding her while the world burned. She didn’t know his face. She never did. But the way her heart clenched in the dream always made her wonder: Who was he? Why did he feel like ho

Are you trying to open sore wounds?" he said with anger in his voice. " I know you are angry, Mr Jaosn but I need you to calm down and listen to me. This is not a picture of your wife." Raven said immediately and Jaosn's face went pale. " What do you mean? Are you saying this is..." Jason stuttered. " Yes. Mr Jason. This is not your wife. She is currently here working as a server at where I frequent for my lunch." Raven replied. There was a long silence over the call. Jason looked at the picture in front of him and gently placed the phone back to his ears. " What do you think I should do, Raven?" Jason said with a sullen voice. " You re way too lonely, Mr Jason. You need to let go and get yourself back into the world. You can hide in the first for too long." " What if I have her life complicated?" Jason's voice break as he tried t

Jason Walker never thought silence could feel so loud. The cabin was nestled deep in the woods, far from the ruined city skyline that once defined his life. Here, the only thing that pierced the stillness was birdsong, the rustle of wind through pine trees, and the gentle creak of old wooden floorboards when he moved. It had been three months since that final night—the night the city held its breath, and he finally exhaled. He poured himself a cup of black coffee, the aroma rich and earthy, steam curling like ghosts above the rim. Outside, the morning mist clung to the grass, wrapping the world in a soft gray cocoon. For the first time in years, Jason had no enemies. No lies to maintain. No one to kill.He walked onto the porch barefoot, feeling the damp chill of the wood under his soles. His eyes scanned the forest line automatically, an old reflex. But nothing stirred. No threats. No traps. Just trees, tall and steady. He took a seat on the swing chair and let it sway gently, his ga
