“You think you stand up to me? My family can destroy you in the snap of a finger.”

William knew about the Dunn family. Their Chairman of the Dunn family had been calling him relentlessly trying to set up a meeting ever since he landed in Crenshaw city.

The Dunn family business was worth 100 billion dollars which was still nothing compared to what Knight Industries was worth.

One of the subsidiaries of Knight Industries was responsible for supplying construction materials for Dunn Industries.

They were extremely desperate to get into more business with Knight Industries.

“Like I said, This is my seat.” William repeated calmly.

James gave him a hard slap across his face causing a satisfied smile formed on Jade’s lips.

“This is a VIP Area. That seat is reserved for Asher Knight. The CEO of Knight Industries. Why would a poor nobody like you be in his seat?”

James gestured to the security guards nearby.“Security throw this imposter out of here!”

Just then, Franklin Seth arrived at the scene wondering what was going on.

He recognized James but also didn't recognize Asher Knight as he didn't know what he looked like.

“What's happening here?” Franklin asked James.

“Mr. Seth, I'm glad you're here. This imposter is claiming to be Asher Knight. He's definitely not Asher Knight, he's just a servant of the Grey family.” James said impatiently.

Franklin looked at William who was still being held by James.

He took a look at his suit and watch and could tell that no ordinary person could afford such clothing.

William turned to Franklin Seth speaking calmly. “Mr Franklin. Is this how you allow your guests to be treated? I'm not sure i can do business with you.”

Franklin Seth's's heart sank. Was this man really Asher Knight?

“Let him go now.” He instructed James.

James raised his eyebrow. “What?”

“I said let him go.” Franklin Seth repeated sternly.

James reluctantly let go of his collar. He didn't want to offend him as he was good friends with his father.

“I can assure you this is not Asher Knight. He is just a nobody who can't even afford my dog's food.” Jade said confidently.

“That's for me to decide.” Franklin said before turning back to William.

“Mr. Knight, could you please show me your invite?”

“No.” William replied almost immediately.

Franklin Seth was surprised by his response.

Jade scoffed. “I told you he was an imposter, he doesn't have an invite!”

Ignoring her, William addressed Franklin Seth. “If you invited me to your Gala, shouldn't you have gone through the trouble of finding what I look like?”

William sat comfortably on his seat. “You have two options, you can listen to them and kick me out or you can let me remain here. The choice is yours”

Franklin Seth was amazed at His confidence. Surely this man had to be Asher Knight. He spoke with so much aura and confidence.

If he wasn’t Asher Knight, he didn't have much to lose, he would simply kick him out if the real Asher Knight showed up.

“Apologies for not recognising you sir.” Franklin said with a bowed head.

James fumed with anger. “What? you are letting this piece of thrash stay?”

William smiled. It would seem Franklin Seth had some sense.

He turned to James with a hardened gaze. “As for you, I promised you, you'll regret putting your hands on me. You said you could destroy me with the snap of your finger but I'll show you what real power looks like.”

William put in a call to Roland. “James Dunn insulted me publicly. Inform the Dunn family that we will not be doing any business with them.”

“Not only will we not be doing business with them, we are cutting off their access to construction materials.”

James scoffed. “You think your acting can scare me?”

Just then his phone rang. It was Michael Dunn, the chairman and James' father.

“You fool! What have you done? Who did you offend? You've ruined us!”

James's heart skipped a beat. He had never heard his father so distressed before. “F-Father, what are you talking about? I didn't do anything.”

“I just got a call saying you disrespected the Master of Knight Industries and now our material supply has been cut off. We are going to go bankrupt!” his father yelled angrily.

James' hand was shaking as he held his phone. How did William have the power to make that happen?

“You must have just gotten the news.” William said confidently.

James turned angrily and gave Jade a slap. “You fool. You've ruined me. You told me he wasn't Asher Knight.”

Jade couldn't understand what was going on. “What?.....he isn’t..”

James quickly bowed his head. “Please forgive my foolishness.”

William smiled "I will forgive you on one condition."

William turned to Jade. “You called me a dog, now both of you are going to become dogs today.”

[William’s Apartment] “Scarlett is prepared to beat the bid. She has offered 130 billion dollars.” William informed Roland. Roland nodded, a bit surprised. “I wasn’t sure if she would.” William chuckled. “I know Scarlett. I knew she’d never be able to stand seeing William outdo her. Her pride won’t allow her to.” “I guess you’ll be awarding the contract to her now?” Roland asked. William’s eyes narrowed, he walked towards to his home bar picking out a bottle of whiskey. “Not yet. I still want to push her a little bit more.” A confused expression was drawn on Roland’s face. “What do you mean?” “EdgeSpin is going to be making another bid of 15 billion.” William replied. Roland’s eyes widened. “What? For her to match that, she’ll need to risk more than half of her company’s networth. Will she really be willing to do that?” William sat back on his leather seat, staring into the air as he took a sip of his whiskey. “Don’t worry. She will.” he said confidently. [Grey Industries]

On the other hand, Asher Knight had offered her a golden opportunity. There were many companies who would fight to get the chance she had just been given. She had always wanted to make Grey Industries greater. Was she really going to just let this chance slip by? She was still in thought when her intercom buzzed and her secretary’s voice came through. “Ma’am there’s someone here to see you.” Scarlett frowned. She wasn’t expecting anyone. “Who is it?” she asked. “He says he’s the CEO of a company named EdgeSpin.” her secretary replied. Scarlett’s eyes widened. The CEO of Edgespin? Why did he want to see her? “Alright. You can let him in.” Some minutes later, her office door opened and a man in a grey suit stepped inside. Immediately she saw him, her expression turned sour. “You???” she blurt

“We’re prepared to publicly announce the project.” Roland said as he walked into William’s office. William nodded. “Good. [ Grey Industries. ] “Ma’am, Project Contrl has been officially announced by Knight Industries.” Scarlett’s secretary informed her in her office. Scarlett smiled inwardly, she was sure that with her relationship with Asher Knight, he was surely going to choose Grey Industries as the official partner. “Have there been any information about the company they plan to award the 30% stake to?” she asked. “Yes, Ma’am.” her secretary replied. Scarlett smiled expecting the next name to come out of the secretary’s mouth to be Grey Industries. “It’s a company called EdgeSpin. I hear they are in advance talks t

At 7:00 pm, a limo came to pick up Scarlett. She wore a striking red dress and red lipstick to match. Soon they arrived at the sea dock. She stepped out and immediately saw Asher Knight waiting for her. He looked effortlessly handsome in a dark navy suit, no tie, just the right hint of charm and mystery. Scarlett looked around confused . “I thought we were having dinner? I don’t think there are any restaurants around here.” “We are.” William said with a charming chuckle. “I wanted us to have a private dinner on my yacht.” Asher led her to his yacht where a romantic dinner setup was waiting for them. The floor was littered with beautiful roses, and lavender candles all over. Scarlett felt like a princess as he pulled her chair for her. “Isn’t this a bit too much for a first date?” she asked casually. “Well,” William said as he took his seat. “I have never brought any woman on my yacht before, you are a special woman and deserve a special first date.” Scarlett couldn’t h

The conference hall of Skyline Center hummed with a quiet intensity. Crisp suits, sharp ties and the occasional glint of an expensive watch could be seen all around. The BusinessXperts Expo was were ideas turned into deals. One right handshake could secure a decade worth of fortune. Scarlett adjusted her blazer as she walked into the venue. She put on a cream coloured blouse and black trousers. Simple but sharp. After all, she knew she wasn’t even one of the big names there. Scarlett stepped into the main area. Dozens of booths from industry giants filled the room. The latest innovations in logistics, real estate, tech, AI and more were all around. Some of these innovations weren’t even accessible to the public yet. Eventually she found herself near a lounge area where she drank a glass of champagne as she glanced over some brochures. Just a few feet away from her, some men were discussing quietly, but not low enough for Scarlett not to hear their conversation. “Have you

Scarlett walked into the Grey mansion with a wide grin on her face. She tossed her purse on the sofa and spun slightly. Her joy was so much that it couldn't be contained. “Guess who just closed a huge contract worth a billion with Knight Industries?” The room went still. Sophia who was lying down reading a magazine quickly stood up straight, nearly spilling the drink on the table. Her eyes widened with interest. “Wait..What? You met Asher Knight? Did he say anything about me?” Sophia asked with eagerness. Scarlett’s smile dropped into a look of dry amusement. She folded her arms, leaning against the doorway. “No. He didn’t mention you once.” Her tone was cool, but there was a sharp edge of satisfaction in it. “I’m not even sure he remembers you… other than the fact that you almost dragged him into a scandal.” Sophia’s face turned red with annoyance as she clenched her jaw tightly. Her nostrils flared up as she was ready to fire back a sharp insult, but a single glance from
