THE REVELATION

Chapter 4: The Revelation

Luke woke up in a luxurious room, feeling disoriented and confused. He rubbed his eyes and looked around, wondering how he ended up there. He had a vague memory of being kidnapped, but he couldn't recall anything after that. He got up from the bed and walked out of the room, exploring the big house. He was amazed by the opulence and grandeur of everything he saw.

As he walked through exploring the big house he tried to recall what had happened to him that night and a sharp pain at his arm made him recall all that had happened that night. Fir he struggled a lot with the kidnappers that very night he was dumned by his wife Fiona.

As he wandered, a maid came up to him and guided him to a garden, where an old man was waiting for him. The old man, dressed in a white robe, looked wise and powerful. Luke was surprised when the old man greeted him by his real name and called him his grandson. He was taken aback by the revelation and wondered how this could be possible.

How on earth did this man know me and call me by my name, he must be the master who sent those men to kidnap me yesterday, Luke battled with his thoughts.

The old man offered  him a seat but Luke hesitated not to have a seat for he was standing in fear from what had happened to him earlier on with those captors.

But in no time one of the maids appeared and calmed him down to sit for he was brought there for a better purpose done to be harmed by the old man.

The old man told him a story about a family of three people that were destroyed 18 years ago. The parents had died in an accident, and their two-year-old son had gone missing. The old man said that he had been searching for his grandson ever since, and after many years, he finally found him. Luke couldn't believe what he was hearing. He had always thought he was an orphan and had no idea about his family.

One of my maids had reported she had seen the same birth mark from my late daughter who happened to be your mother, so from there we had tracced all your moments, we just took all this year's looking into the matter very well so we would not make any mistake of bringing in anybody as you .

But on that faithful day of your wife's birthday, we knew all that was going to happen so we just went on with our plan of kidnapping you.

But unfortunately for us we lost track of you when we got there but we never stopped looking for you till now that we have found you.

Luke really looked amazed and sad as well for the story he heard about how his late parents lost their lives.

The old man revealed that he was one of the wealthiest men in the world, and he had built an empire through his hard work and dedication. He had been waiting for his grandson to come back so that he could pass on the family business to him. The old man asked Luke if he was willing to take over the whole group, to which Luke was overwhelmed and didn't know how to react.

I do not want you to make any haste decisions the old man said but make sure anything you decide on will be beneficiary to the family at large for you are the only heir to the family.

He had been a struggling medical student with no family, and suddenly, he was being offered a chance to become one of the most powerful people in the world. He had many questions and doubts, but he knew that he couldn't let go of this opportunity. He decided to accept the offer and become the heir to the old man's vast business empire.

The old man smiled at Luke, seeing the determination in his eyes. He told him that he had a lot to learn and that he would guide him in every step of the way. Luke felt a sense of belonging and purpose he had never experienced before. He knew that his life was going to change forever, and he was excited about what the future held for him.

As Luke left the garden, he couldn't help but wonder about his past and the family he never knew. He was filled with emotions and questions, but he knew that he had to focus on the present and the future. He had a lot of work to do and a legacy to fulfill. He was ready to take on the challenge and make his grandfather proud.

He also decided to look into his past parents death also for the old man had told him they had lot of enemies for their generous heart towards the needy and how they well able to sail through the storms of life even to have him as their only son.

Luke vowed to make each and everyone who will be caught having a hand in his parents death.

Upon staying in the house, he sometimes gets to his parents room to search if he would find anything that would lead him to his parents death. As he walked through the door he saw all kinds of play toys and pictures of him with his parents. 

Luke could not hold back his tears, he cried bitterly and walked out of the room, he had himself locked at his room the whole of that day.

While he thought, why would such people with generous heart loose their lives in a car accident, while those wicked souls walk freely with their shoulders up all around the vicinity.

Luke then walked to ask the permission from his Grandfather to have him look further into his parents death for he would punish anybody who had himself or herself involved in the death of his parents.
