Marvin leaned back in his chair, the conversation with Helena was still echoing in his mind.

It had been a close call earlier, but things had finally lightened.

She had kissed him lightly on the cheek before heading for the door, leaving behind the faint trace of her perfume, the scent lingered in the air like an invisible mark of her presence.

The door clicked softly behind her, and for a brief moment, Marvin let the silence settle.

He closed his eyes, exhaling deeply, with a sense of relief washing over him.

His shoulders, tense from the pressure of the conversation, began to relax as the moment of calm spread through him.

But just as he thought he might get the chance to fully unwind, his phone buzzed again.

He glanced at the screen, the name was flashing brightly: Stella Orion.

A smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

Stella.

She had this way of making everything feel easier, lighter.

His mood shifted, almost eagerly, as he swiped to answer the call.

  • THE INFILTRATOR

Inside the Khyber Company Headquarters, the air was tense but full of purpose. It was a building that never slept, where every second mattered. From the outside, the structure looked like an ordinary office complex—but inside, it was something else entirely. All around, workers sat before glowing screens, typing rapidly. Some whispered into headsets, others stared into strange devices, their eyes were flickering with fast-moving codes. But this wasn’t normal data work. This was data fabrication—the Khybers’ legendary superpower. As usual, they didn’t just gather information. They twisted it, restructured it, turned lies into facts and facts into lies. With this power, they built stories that could ruin or save entire companies, celebrities, or even politicians.“Check that algorithm again!” one supervisor barked, walking fast past a row of analysts. “The numbers must reflect a 40% rise in Bowen Tech’s public liability this week.”“Yes sir!” a young man replied, his eyes were locked o

  • THE NEURO VIRAL TRUTH

“What are you talking about?” Yusuf asked, there was a slight furrow in his brow, his usually calm voice was now tinged with a rare hint of confusion. He had laid out every crucial piece of the puzzle, every element he believed Jayden had requested. What could possibly be missing?Jayden’s gaze hardened, it was a silent warning. His expression made it clear he wasn’t in the mood for games or evasions. The air in the vehicle, already thick with unspoken tension, seemed to hum. Then, a subtle but profound change began to ripple through Jayden. A faint, ethereal sky-blue glow started to pulse from his eyes, it was a light that seemed to emanate from deep within him. It wasn't harsh, but it was undeniable, almost as if miniature stars had ignited in his pupils. A low, almost imperceptible buzzing sound accompanied the light, it was a gentle thrumming that seemed to resonate in the very bones of the car. And then, the veins on Jayden’s hands, resting loosely on his lap, began to puls

  • THE KEY TO THE MIND WAR

“So, where is it? Did you bring it?” Jayden asked, his gaze was locked on Yusuf.Yusuf's steady eyes met Jayden’s own. There was no hesitation, no dramatic pause. “Yes,” he replied, his voice was still calm, measured, and almost flat.Jayden felt a surge of relief, though he kept his expression neutral. “Okay?” he prompted, with a touch of impatience seeping into his tone. He needed to see it, to hold the proof in his hands.Yusuf held Jayden’s gaze for a few silent seconds, his expression was unreadable. It wasn't a challenging stare, but a deliberate one, as if assessing Jayden’s readiness or perhaps just confirming his own resolve. Then, with a slow, precise movement, Yusuf reached down to the sleek, dark briefcase resting on the floor between his feet. The leather was supple, the clasps were gleaming faintly in the dim light. He unlatched it with a soft click and, without looking away from Jayden, he reached inside. His hand emerged, holding a small, metallic object. It was a f

  • YUSUF IS CLOSE

It was an unknown number. He usually didn't answer unknown calls, but something in him urged him to pick up.“Hello, who is this?” he asked, his voice was low, trying not to disturb the ongoing performance."Mr Jayden, it is Yusuf Khyber."Jayden jerked, leaning forward in his seat, his laughter was instantly forgotten. His eyes, moments ago crinkled with mirth, now narrowed with a mixture of surprise and sudden focus. Carl, who was still wheezing with laughter beside him, seemed not to notice Jayden’s sudden tension. The sound of Captain Corporate Crusader was loudly interrogating a head of lettuce filled the hall, it was a stark contrast to the quiet intensity that had just settled over Jayden.“Oh, Yusuf,” Jayden replied, his voice was barely a whisper, his gaze was darting around the dimly lit hall as if searching for something unseen. “What’s up?”There was a brief pause on the other end, a faint rustle of what sounded like fabric, before Yusuf’s calm, almost unnervingly stead

  • LAUGHTER IN THE LINE OF FIRE

The next evening, Jayden found himself in an unexpected place: a local community hall, transformed into a makeshift theatre. Carl, ever the enthusiast for anything that promised a good laugh, had insisted. “You’ve been hunched over that computer for days, man,” Carl had declared earlier, his voice was still a bit hoarse but full of conviction. “You need a break. And what’s better than a good ol’ fashioned comedy playlet? My cousin, Barry, he’s in it! Says it’s a real rib-cracker.”Jayden, despite his reservations about taking time away from his crucial work, had reluctantly agreed. Carl, still in his wheelchair but with a renewed sparkle in his eyes, sat beside him in the bustling hall, munching loudly on popcorn. The lights dimmed, and the audience hushed. A flimsy curtain, clearly once a bedsheet, wobbled open to reveal a surprisingly bare stage. Two actors stood awkwardly in the center, dressed in what looked like mismatched costumes from a forgotten attic. One, a tall, gangly ma

  • NEURAL CRISIS AND DIGITAL LIES

"It's more than useful, Mr. Richmond," Jayden said, his voice was now firm, and infused with a renewed sense of purpose. He pushed himself upright in his chair, the fatigue from his earlier exertion was seemingly forgotten. "It's the only way. Think about it. We've been trying to brute-force our way in, to break down their walls. But what if the solution isn't about breaking, but about exposing? They rely on people believing their fabricated reality. If we can show that reality is flawed, that it has these hidden imperfections, then the whole system starts to unravel from within.""But Jayden," Mr. Christopher interjected, his brows were furrowing, "even if you can detect these 'imperfections,' how does that stop Project Revenant? That's a system designed to rewrite consciousness, to control people on a fundamental level. How does a few glitches in memory timelines counteract that kind of power?""Because, Mr. Christopher," Jayden explained, with a voice that was picking up speed, an
