The chubby boss stared at Marvin, and his mouth was opening and closing like a fish out of water. Finally, he managed to stammer, "You? Are you the…"

Marvin leaned back in the CEO’s chair, with a triumphant smile spreading across his face. "Yeah, sure I am. You got any problem with that?"

The boss’s head shook slightly as if trying to wake himself from a bad dream. "But… but you were the delivery guy I saw at the docks some minutes ago!"

"And I’m still that delivery guy," Marvin said, smirking. "The only difference is, I’ve upgraded. And, as God would have it, I’ve been your boss for…" He glanced at his watch. "For the past twelve hours."

The chubby boss’s face turned pale, beads of sweat gathered on his forehead. "This… this is not possible," he blurted out, with a shaky voice. "You cannot be the boss! This company is owned by the Zypher family! They wouldn’t just hand it over to someone… like you. The company’s doing better than ever! They wouldn’t make such a stupid decision!"

"Please, sir Marvin," he begged, his voice shaking with fear. "I promise to do anything, anything at all to keep my job!"Marvin leaned back in his chair, his smile widened as he watched the man squirm. "You want to keep your job, huh?" he asked with a voice that was calm and steady."Yes, yes, sir," the boss stammered. "I need this job. I have a wife... kids..." His voice trailed off, and he lowered his head, ashamed.Marvin interrupted him, rolling his eyes. "Spare me the sob story. The door to Marvin’s office creaked open, with the sound slicing through the quiet hum of the room. A shadow appeared in the doorway, and Marvin glanced up from his desk, his sharp eyes were narrowed. The man who entered moved slowly, his steps were uneven and his shoulders hunched. The man looked old—perhaps in his late sixties. His clothes were wrinkled, and his shirt was slightly stained, as though he had rushed out without caring to iron it. His gray hair was unkempt, sticking out in odd directions. He limped as he approached the desk, with one hand he gripped the back of a chair for support.Marvin straightened in his chair, his gaze was cool and assessing. “Can I help you?” he asked, his voice was calm but guarded. The man paused, breathing heavily, and then nodded. “Yes. I... I hope you can,” he said, his voice hoarse and weak. “My name is Edward Hargrove. I used to work here. I used to be the head of the human resources department.”Marvin’s brow lifted in surprise. Jessica Zypher sat in her luxurious living room, her manicured fingers trembled slightly as she held her phone to her ear. Her jaw was tight, and her usually composed demeanor was cracking under the weight of the voice on the other end of the call.“Jessica,” the chubby boss’s voice broke through the line, it was hoarse and filled with rage. “Do you have any idea what you’ve done to me? That new CEO you handed power to—Marvin—he has ruined me!”Jessica sighed, leaning back in her chair. She closed her eyes, as though the call was a weight she couldn’t bear. “Calm down,” she said, her voice was measured but tired. “What happened?”“What happened?!” The boss’s voice rose, nearly a shout. “He made me roll on the floor like a circus animal in his office! Do you know what that felt like? To be humiliated like that?! Me, a boss—reduced to rolling on the floor like a fool. He streamed the whole thing online! The entire company probably saw it!” His words came out fast, almost tripping over

Marvin sat at his large, imposing desk in the CEO office of Zypher Group, the morning sunlight filtered through the massive windows behind him. The room was pristine, decorated with sleek furniture and a dominating sense of power. On the polished desk in front of him rested his smartphone. His eyes narrowed as he stared at the phone, unmoving. Slowly, Marvin placed his hands palm-down on either side of the device. He took a deep breath, trying to center himself.“I can do this,” he muttered under his breath. He wanted performing telekinesis on his smart phone.Marvin closed his eyes and focused intensely, imagining the phone lifting into the air. He tried to feel the energy within him—the synapticore energy—flowing through his mind and body. He had done it before, hadn’t he? This wasn’t supposed to be impossible. The muscles in his face tightened as he pushed all his focus toward the phone. His breathing slowed, becoming deliberate, as though even that might disturb his concentratio

Jessica took a deep breath, her eyes steady and focused. “I would like to…” She paused for a moment, choosing her words carefully. “No, I mean… even though you have taken over the company as CEO, that doesn’t mean I don’t care about it's success.”Marvin watched her closely, his expression was serious. He was trying to figure out if she was being honest or if this was just another smart move to win him over.“For heaven’s sake,” Jessica continued, moving her hands to show the room around her. “You haven’t even changed the name of the company. 'Zypher Group.' And I’m sure you don’t care about changing it, do you?”She was right. Marvin leaned back in his chair, his face showing no emotion. He didn’t care about the name of the company. His focus was on making money and gaining power. He didn’t worry about things like branding or names. In fact, if he was being honest, he wasn’t great at choosing names anyway. All he cared about was profit.Jessica didn’t wait for him to answer. She kept

Jessica nodded, her voice was steady and confident. “That is what’s best for you,” she said. “And that is what’s best for the legacy my family has fought to build all these years.”Marvin stared at her for a long moment, his mind turned over her words, weighing the risks and the potential benefits. “As much as I hate you, Jessica, I can’t deny the fact that your proposal is quite reasonable,” Marvin said, his voice was cold but firm. He leaned back in his chair, eyeing her carefully. “As a Richmond, being the CEO of a franchise that belongs to a rival family is very risky. However, without much further ado, I accept your request to be part of my executives. The procedures for your installation will begin in a few days' time.”Jessica’s heart raced with excitement, but she fought hard to keep her composure. We’re divided into two strong factions.”He raised two fingers to make his point.“One side—your side—believes you fought bravely. What you did at the last WG-8 Summit… it shook Westwood to its core.”Marvin blinked.“My speech?”Uncle Christopher nodded slowly.“You gave out information that no one thought you had access to. You exposed secret dealings, illegal contracts, and power abuses—especially from the leaders of the Power Families. The entire Council of Elders turned on them that day. You embarrassed them… and you made enemies.”Marvin’s brows furrowed.“But… why would they see me as a threat?” he asked. “I’m based here in Neovalle. I run a solar based tech company. My focus is innovation. I don’t even want anything in Westwood. Even when I finally get to hold the Astralyte… my goals haven’t changed. It's not like I intend to conquer Westwood.”Uncle Christopher gave a slow, tired nod.“I know, Marvin. I know you’re not after thrones or terri
