Ric began to calculate deeply as basic medical knowledge flooded his memory and he kept understanding what the systems really meant!

His Major core objectives right now was to protect his household, increase his companions territory and build a formidable territory.

Ric took a deep breath as he knew there will be an impending disaster soon and he and his companion needed to survive, but with this system and this basic knowledge, coupled with his experience of the modern world and military tactics, he will be able to raise a strong fort that will be stronger than anything this dynasty has ever seen before!

Suddenly, a huge sound interrupted Ric's thought as a heavy iron registry stamp slammed onto the parchment, binding the fates of the four outcasts together.

Some of the soldiers sneered coldly at Ric, while some shook their heads with pity.

They knew he had already sealed his fate by choosing those ladies, but it can't be helped, that was the only remaining women available, which was a bit normal.

One of the guards came over towards Ric with a wide grin and shoved his deployment letter towards Ric as he staggered a few steps!

“I wish you good luck. Hahaha!” The guard laughed loudly as his eyes glanced towards the ladies, a cold glint flashed past his eyes before he walked back to the commander.

Ric wasn't bothered about everything, with his level of past experience, he could be able to discern that something was wrong but he dropped everything at the back of his mind as he unfolded the letter openly!

*Deployment to Riverpark village!*

When the crowd saw the location of the letter, everyone's expression became extremely solemn aside from the Commander and a few of his guards.

Meanwhile, the three ladies that were termed as burden and useless exchanged glances among themselves, they could see the terror in each other's eyes.

Everyone present knew Riverpark Village was a very notorious brutal border settlement universally feared as a guaranteed death post!

They suddenly came to a realization, that the outpost was a very deadly place during Winter, any soldiers stationed there never survived the Winter!

Ric's eyes became gloomy as he glanced at the commander who also gazed coldly at him with a cold smug at the corner of his mouth!

Meanwhile, before Ric could make a complaint, the same mechanical voice resounded in his mind that froze everywhere.

[Regional Danger Level: Extreme]

[First Survival Mission Triggered:

Reach River Park Village alive.

Failure to survive the journey will lead to immediate termination.]

Ric finally knew he had no other option, the system was attached to him and his lifeline. He sighed helplessly as his eyes scanned through his new wives as he said slowly, “Is time to get moving wives!”

He spoke with a slight chuckle.

He knew these three ladies won't be able to accept him but he also doesn't have any choice, he couldn't believe the Great General Richard of Capua will one day be reduced to a weakling in this forsaken world.

He sighed deeply with helplessness.

Meanwhile, after one full hour of speeches and rules that was so boring to the ear.

The commander finally dismissed everyone and each group went to their allocated camp.

Ric took his three wives along with him after asking for directions towards the Riverpark Village.

Meanwhile, after different methods of coercing, Ric finally learnt of the names of his three wives.

The First lady who has a cold appearance and indifferent look was Lady Yan, she was a noble woman, smart and calculated, while the pale lady being the youngest with an oversized cloak was Kahleen, and the fierce looking lady with a body that makes any man lose control just with her voluptuous body was Morgana.

All his three wives are beautiful in their own ways.

The cold and aloof, the shy and innocent, the hot, fierce and destructive one.

Ric gulped a mouthful of saliva when his eyes swept past them as they kept walking on the snow.

“If your eyes don't remain in one place, then don't blame me for digging it out and feeding it to the dogs” Morgana fiercely spoke from behind Ric.

His body trembled slightly as he hurriedly walked ahead.

[System warning: A pack of wolves ahead]

[Escape from the wolves and get a bonus rewards]

Ric panicked instantly as his footsteps stopped abruptly as the three ladies bumped into him unknowingly.

“Ouch…!” Kahleen screamed loudly.

Suddenly, Ric gripped her body and covered her mouth slowly while Lady Yan took a few steps back with vigilance and Morgana glared angrily at him.

“Shhhhh!” Ric removed his hands from her mouth and hushed the rest ladies to be quiet and pointed towards the direction the system detected the wolves and said, “There are wolves ahead moving towards our location!”

Suddenly, the three ladies' bodies trembled violently, even Lady Yan who has always had an indifferent gaze, her expression became serious as Morgana glared at Ric before she moved back separately from the rest dragging the chains on her hands!

Ric knew if he removed the chains on her wrist then she would be a huge threat to him, so for now he can't leave his life in anybody's hands.

“What…what do we do now?” Kahleen asked with her soft voice.

Ric glanced at his wives, he could understand each of their conditions as he stared at Lady Yan and asked quietly, “Do you know this terrain very well and know the possible route to take? We have no time!”

Lady Yan hesitated slightly before she nodded her head and pointed out a route in the snow that was covered by thorn as she said, “If we head through the thorny ridge to the east, the dense trees will slow down the wolf pack, and the scent of the crushed branches might mask our trail. But it will slow our movement.” Her voice sounded like she knew the terrain like the back of her hand!

Ric pondered slowly and nodded at Lady Yan.

“Morgana! stop moving away,” Ric commanded, his voice dropping into the low, authoritative tone he used back when he commanded legions in Capua. It wasn't the voice of the weakling they thought he was, it was the voice of a man who looked death in the face and forced it to blink.

Morgana paused, her fierce eyes narrowing as she felt a sudden shift in his aura.

The rest of the ladies glanced at him with a slight ripple in their eyes!

[System Notification: Host's tactical authority recognized. Wife's hostile gaze reduced by five percent.]

Ric didn't pay attention to the screen as he began to direct the ladies towards the path.

He walked slowly towards Morgana, stared directly towards her.

“Dagger!” Ric called out as he brought out one of the daggers from the system.

Morgana's eyes narrowed slightly but she kept her composure as her voluptuous chest kept moving up and down.

Ric didn't have time to enjoy the rare view as he swung his dagger to cut the chain binding her.

Click!

“You.. you broke it?” Morgana asked before she said, “Don't think this makes us close!

Howl!

A wolf howl resounded as it broke the atmosphere.

“Run!” Ric instantly made the decision as he held Kahleen hands and sprinted towards the thorny place.

Lady Yan followed along with Morgana bringing the rear as she kept touching her hands not believing she had been freed!

The thorns tore their clothes and scratched their skin, but the panic of being hunted pushed them forward. Kahleen stumbled, her oversized cloak catching on a jagged branch. She whimpered, but before she could fall, Ric’s hand caught her by the waist, pulling her up and pushing her ahead of him.

From behind them, the sound of snapped twigs and loud breathing sounded from behind as Ric glanced over his shoulder. Through the dense brush, he saw four massive, starved winter wolves, their eyes were like a bright touch shining in the winter.

“There are too fast” Morgana shouted from behind, “We won't make it”

She wanted to stop and fight to the death before Ric's loud voice resounded immediately, “Don't stop!” Ric stopped as he moved back with the dagger on his right hand and said, “Lady Yan! Lead Kahleen and Morgana towards that Boulder there!”

He spoke as he walked hurriedly towards the Wolves.

“What are you doing?” Lady Yan asked. She couldn't understand how a weak young boy would behave like a hero.

Ric didn't respond immediately; the only word he said before he met the wolves was, “Do not Stop!” He roared!

The map lay forgotten on the oak table, its careful lines and marked shafts abandoned for the moment. Ric’s hands never left them as he guided the three of them through the adjoining chamber. The door closed behind them with a soft, final click. Outside, the first thin light of dawn pressed against the shuttered windows, but inside the air remained warm and heavy with the scent of skin and the low crackle of the hearth that had burned steadily through the night. Kahleen’s fingers were already working at the buckles of his armor. The instant the leather came free, Morgana’s mouth found the side of his throat. Yan simply watched for a heartbeat, dark eyes bright with quiet intensity, then stepped forward and claimed his mouth in a slow, deliberate kiss that tasted of both strategy and surrender. They did not rush. They never did when it was the four of them like this. Ric’s hands moved with quiet certainty unlacing, unbuckling, sliding cloth away until three bodies pressed bar

Together with his wives he moved swiftly through the four regions, ending slavery wherever it still lingered and formally abolishing the emperor system that had bound the land for generations.Barns rose across the countryside for the secure storage of grain, while new routes along the riverbanks opened steady lines of transport. A measured tax was put in place to support a functioning administration. The Legion of Doom expanded rapidly as advanced weapons were mass-produced under Ric’s direction. He then informed her that the North, South, East, and West were now firmly under their control. The only territory that remained was the Central Capital. And that was where the real problem lay.The Central Capital was the heart of the Starlight Dynasty and the Emperor's primary power base.
