“Punk! What do you want again? I am letting you off for now and yet, you want to be arrogant with me?”  Caroline couldn’t control the anger in her chest and retorted furiously.

“Lucas, are you trying to get us into trouble again? She has agreed to leave right? Why are you being such a dick?” Dianna snapped at him.

Sighing, Lucas spoke. “Those two lackey behind you hurt my wife. You don’t think I’ll let them off easily do you?” He said and merely pointed at the two men like they were some mall fries.

“Huh? Punk, do you have an issue with us?” The two burly men stepped towards intending to subdue him with their aura. How dare a bumpkin like him talk to them like that? Was he not scared that he would be smacked in the face and forced to eat shit?

“Yes, I have an issue with both of you. If you go on your knees and apologize to my wife then I’ll let you off.” Lucas spoke indifferently.

Though he was so touching that he was standing up for Freya, she couldn’t afford to see him get hurt. Quickly she rushed towards him and spoke convincingly.

“Lucas it’s alright. I’ll just rub some ointment on it and I’ll be fine. Just let them go.” She insisted.

Smiling, Lucas assured her. “Don’t worry, these fools won’t make me sweat.” As soon as he said these the two burly men unleashed their anger.

“Madam Caroline. It will be okay if we break some of his bones right?” The asked turning towards her.

“Hmp! Do whatever you want. Since he doesn’t know how to control his mouth, teach him how to!” Caroline nodded. This time she wasn't concerned about the law anymore as Lucas had become so stupid and was stepping on her nerves.

“Thank you, madam.” The men said before turning toward Lucas and started cracking their knuckles.

Meanwhile, Dianna who was by the door had a glint of excitement in her eyes. If these men could beat Lucas to death, then it was a good thing. Her daughter would be free to marry a wealthy man just as she had planned.

Quickly she rushed towards Freya and pulled her off. “Stay away from him, lest his blood stains you.” She said.

“No Mom, Lucas will get hurt. I can’t let that happen!” Freya tried her best to snatch herself and run to Lucas, but her mom was dragging her too forcefully. In no time, she was meters away from Lucas and the men had already charged in to attack.

Everyone knew Lucas to be that weak person, so how would be able to beat the men who were twice his size? 

“Die punk!” Two of the men roared and sent a punk that could be able to break Lucas's skull in one go.

“Noooooooooooo!” Freya yelled in fright.

“Good! Die punk!” Dianna thought to herself.

However, Lucas suddenly vanished from their reach. Next thing he appeared behind them and sent a kick right at their abdomen, each at a time, sending them flying meters away. The way their body easily flew away was as though their body weight was nothing and perhaps were just like a piece of garbage.

Huh? Everyone’s mouths fell open almost as though they would fall off to the floor.

The skinny Lucas who should be groveling on the floor and wincing in pain was the one standing tall while the men who should have won were now far across the road and hanged on a pole. Their pupils constricted while their bodies limply fell to the floor.

But then, that wasn’t enough. Lucas had sworn that he would make them pay, and he had yet to do that. Under everyone’s shocking gazes, he walked towards the men and dragged them back to where his wife was.

All this while, they were caught in a daze and couldn’t even groan as the pain from that kick was enough to make their body numb. How was that possible?

“Apologize to her now!” Lucas's voice sank into their ears pulling them out of their daze. They snapped out of it and shivered. If he was able to send them flying with just a kick, what more could he do?

“We…are sorry Miss Freya. We went overboard! We shouldn’t have done that to you. Please forgive us!”

Thug!

They smacked their heads on the floor as they begged. Under Lucas's intense gaze and aura, how could they not apologize properly?

“Wife, do you accept their apology or should I make them say it again?” Lucas turned to his wife and smiled looking different from the cold-hearted person he was just now.

As she stared at him, she no longer saw the weak husband she was married to but instead a strong man. She was able to notice how much he had changed. His body structure was now covered with many muscles compared to before. For a moment, he had her doubting if he was Lucas.

However, subconsciously, she nodded. “Yes, I accept their apology.” 

“Okay,” Lucas smiled before turning to the men. “Now scram.” He bellowed at the men, and quickly they stood up and started running away for their lives. The scene was so funny as they even forgot their shoes before running.

Lucas smiled as he saw this. Indeed, he had attained power. The system was such a blessing to him. His head twirled to the side, and he caught eye with Caroline.

Fear surged inside her and at once, she took her shoes off into her palm and ran away too. Lucas couldn’t help but laugh at such a scene when he heard a voice in his head.

“Congrats, the host has just exerted level two of his martial arts skills.”
