“Interesting. Yes, I want to go.” William said.

“Great, then I will pick you up tonight.” Zara carefully said.

William shook his head. “It's fine. I can go there by myself.”

Then he added, “Just tell me the address and I'll be there.”

“Very well. Tell them my name at the entrance. They will let you in.” Zara nodded.

Just then, there seemed to be some commotion at the entrance to the area they were in after which a familiar face entered.

“Miss Victoria, I've finally found you.” the man said.

Victoria frowned. “Steven, what are you doing here?”

“Oh, you don't seem happy to see me,” Steven said, feigning offense.

“I asked a question, Steven, why are you here and even more than that, why are you here with company?” Victoria asked, her gaze shifting to the men standing behind Steven.

Most were thugs but one among them stood out the most.

He was an older man in a white dopo with a bald head and a long beard.

Though his eyes were closed and he seemed docile, he appeared to be the most dang

“The Storm family?” William raised his brow. “Where is the evidence? How am I supposed to know that you’re not lying?” This woman in front of him was too unpredictable so he needed to be certain so as not to fall for her scheme. “What’s the point of lying to you?” Madam Felicia rolled her eyes. “Do you even need a reason to tell a lie?” William’s expression was frosty. “You know me well!” She chuckled. “But I’m telling the truth this time, and I even have the murderer’s location with me.” “Where?” “A hidden safe house.” With a flick of her wrist, a piece of paper fell on the table. “Here’s the address.” William took a look at it. “Is this the real address?” “You have my word. However, I can only guarantee you that the murderer will be there for an hour. After that, the murderer will move to a different place,” Madam Felicia said. William nodded his head, his expression relaxing as he lowered his guard slightly. Judging from Madam Felicia’s body language, she didn’t seem like

After making some calls, William made his way to Spicy Pub, one of the most popular lounges in the city, along with a few of Victoria's men. This was hardly his first time in Westbrook, and during his last stint in the city, he had made contact with a few eccentric fellows and the owner of Spicy Pub, whom he wished to see was one such individual.Since it was still daytime, the lounge was mostly empty with very few guests around.William swiftly made his way into the building and then casually chose a seat next to the window and enjoyed a drink while waiting for Madam Felicia to show up.Just then, several SUVS roared and pulled up outside the restaurant.Equipped with weapons, a group of masked men got out of the cars and rushed into the place fiercely. When the man in the lead saw William, he took several steps forward and jammed his machete into the table. “You’re William?”“You’ve been following me for half an hour. You can’t possibly still not know who I am, can you?” William hel

  • Coincidence or not?

With the damning evidence before them, there was no one in the Smith family that could deny Richards involvement in the death of the victim, including Richard himself.Dropping to his knees, Richard muttered. "What have I done?"“Dad, give us some time. I'm sure there's more to this case than meets the eyes,” Victoria said. She felt that something was amiss about the accusations.Right then, the commander uttered coldly. “Alright, I have no spare time to see how affectionate your father-daughter relationship is. Richard, you’ve committed murder, and the evidence is indisputable. Now you need to come with us to assist in our further investigation.”Then, the commander waved his hand. Two soldiers stepped up at once and cuffed Richard.“Dad, it’s easier to die than live. Take care of yourself. We will definitely save you!” Victoria was serious.Richard nodded, not saying anything more.“Take him away!” With that, the commander led the rest of his people and left the place.“Quick! Assem

“Tess, stop that nonsense!” Dennis berated his daughter. “Your Uncle Richard is a good man. He’ll never do anything like that. Someone must have framed him!”“You’ll never know what a man’s like behind closed doors. Who knows?” Tess coldly replied.“That’s enough! Are you going to add to the mess this family is already in?” Victoria finally chastised Tess.Tess merely sneered. “You shouldn’t be yelling at me. Start worrying about cleaning up your dad’s mess.”“You…” Victoria was on the verge of an outburst when Jon urgently ran in.“Ms. Smith, things are bad!... The soldiers out there have barged in!”“They barged in?” Victoria’s expression dropped. “Quick! Get the guards to stop them!”Before the truth prevailed, she would never allow them to arrest her dad.“Stop!” Suddenly. Richard yelled at Jon, “Let them in. No one shall stand in their way!”“Dad, what are you doing?” Victoria frowned.“The truth will speak for itself. I have nothing to fear if I didn’t commit the crime.” Richard

  • Accused of murder

A perplexed William followed Jon into the meeting room of the Smith estate which was filled to the brim. The core members of the family convened at the venue and were whispering to each other. Meanwhile, Dennis Smith sighed with a troubled expression while Kyle Smith paced the room apprehensively.Victoria and a few others stayed by the side of an unconscious Richard Smith.“Victoria, what’s wrong?” William inquired as he showed up in the room with a solemn look.“William, you’ve arrived at the right time! Please check on my dad!” Victoria’s face lit up, and she frantically pulled William over to a pale and sweaty Richard, who had blood stains on his outfit.Without further ado, William performed a detailed checkup on Richard and announced, “Your dad is weak because he has recently recovered from a grave illness. To top that off, he was drinking like a fish, and that’s why he fainted. He should be fine.”“That’s good to hear.” A relieved sigh escaped from Charlotte’s lips.“Can you w

Trevor leaned back into the seat.Even as he took a rest with his eyes closed, he exuded a dangerous air.“Trevor! That wretched girl Victoria is really too much! We need to bring her into line!” Jane sat beside Trevor, still indignant over Victoria’s words. Her brother was such a remarkable person who was outstanding in every aspect.Victoria should have counted her blessings and thanked every deity she knew that he even wanted to marry her!But not only did she not appreciate him, she dared to call off the marriage alliance in front of such a crowd. This was humiliation through and through!“Say something. Trevor! That bitch cheated on you! Are you really not pissed off by that?” Jane was even more disgruntled by Trevor’s silence. His fiancée had cheated on him with another man and even got herself pregnant! This was somethi
