Chapter 1 Pretzels

"Don't...don't do that!" cried Cologne, "Please don't! Heilige Potsdam!" Cologne keeps trying, trying to stop his best friend who is now wrestling with death.

The brown haired boy smiled. He didn't even think about his fate anymore. He was too sure that death would soon pick him up. That's why he looked so calm.

"Don't push yourself Cologne… I'm almost killed," he said with a very calm look on his face.

Cologne growled, "Grrr… you idiot!" The man was still trying to save his best friend Heilige but what could be done, Cologne himself did not notice the movement of Heilege's hand which was very fast when he pulled the trigger of the gun.

BOOM

Blood splattered on Cologne's face. With his body shaking violently, Cologne tried to look ahead.

"No ... no ... maybe .... " Cologne immediately fell as soon as he found his best friend had died before his eyes.

Cologne, who still couldn't accept his best friend's death, continued to shake his best friend's body. "HEILIGE POTSDAM! WAKE UP... WAKE UP... WAKE UP!" he roared. He kept trying to wake up his dead friend.

"He wants to be woken up, no matter how many times he will never wake up," someone whispered in Cologne's ear.

Cologne immediately got goosebumps. As soon as he heard the whisper.

"Look, your best friend has died and it's all thanks to you, you have to make up for it," said the mysterious voice that sounded louder.

Cologne, who was both frightened and confused, was utterly frustrated. In the end he could only, shouting the mysterious voice, "Who are you? Get out right now!" shouted Cologne.

After Cologne shouted. Suddenly, a giant snake with wings like a dragon appeared.

Cologne was scared to death as soon as he saw the figure of the mysterious voice.

"Don't want to run away?" teased the monster while grinning widely.

Cologne didn't know what to do. In the end he decided to take Heilige's body with him. And when, he will try to bring his best friend's body. Cologne was very surprised, when he found Heilige's body, now only the skull remained.

"Heiligeeee!" shrieked Cologne limply. Now all his energy had just disappeared, when he found his best friend's body left only bones.

The monster laughed in satisfaction. He then descended down, stomping his feet that resembled normal human feet.

"Hell is waiting for you. Come with me to hell!" The monster then caught Cologne and strangled him with his tail.

Cologne could not move and could only surrender. In a moment, the monster will actually take his soul to hell.

"Hey, Damn Human wake up quickly!" the black shadowy figure hovered over Cologne's body.

There was no reply and it seemed the young man named Cologne had still not woken up. Even the man continued to babble incoherently in his sleep.

"Tch. No wonder humans, it's easy to be tempted by 'The Lazy'." The shadow snapped its fingers once. And suddenly a fire broke out, burning Cologne's blanket.

"Verdammt, du Teufel!" cursed Cologne. He immediately got up and threw his blanket in any direction.

"Wake up finally, you lazy," said the Shadow with relief.

Cologne pointed his middle finger, at the shadow. "You want to wake me up in hell! That's what you mean, right?" Cologne then took the blanket. The blanket didn't actually burn. But the effect of the heat and flames was not an illusion because he could actually feel the hot sensation of being burned by the fire.

"If you think like that, I'm really happy. But for the time being, I'll hold back." The shadow then flew past Cologne. Then he opened the door to Cologne's room.

Cologne, who saw his action, then said to him like this, "Tch, a ghost like you can open the door," Cologne teased.

The shadow looked indifferent. He then pushed Cologne's body to quickly get out of his room. "Quickly prepare breakfast for me!" his orders.

Cologne snickered, "Tsk. Just use your magic!" He pointed at the shadow with both annoyance and disapproval.

The shadow circled around, then landed right in front of Cologne. "That meat of yours seems to be delicious too, although I prefer to eat human souls but apparently, I absolutely can't allow delicious meat like yours to keep blabbering in front of me."

Cologne swallowed his own saliva forcefully. He then turned and went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

Saw Cologne had left. The shadow laughed contentedly, "Hahaha… it's really fun to work on that Damn Human, hahahaha...." After being satisfied with laughing at Cologne, the shadow just disappeared.

In the dining room

"You see, I really helped you, apparently," said the Shadow as he floated before Cologne's eyes. He played with a rotten apple in his hand.

"You always make me feel bad," Cologne complained as he spread butter on his white bread.

"Make a loss? Why? Hey I've been kind enough to help you," he said not feeling guilty at all. The shadow still hovered above and smiled mischievously from time to time. He did not want to think at all, about the difficulties experienced by the interlocutor.

BRUAK

"This is the reason why I don't want to, negotiate with a demon! My head almost exploded because of you!" The man was really angry. He grumbled while brandishing his bread knife.

"Just relax. Hey, you're exaggerating! The proof is that your head didn't leak." The shadow looked relaxed and didn't mind the events of the other day.

Hearing his interlocutor's words like that, really made Cologne furious. "Are you blind?! Look at this head!" pointed Cologne at his own head, which was now covered in bandages.

"Relax… anyway, you didn't die anyway." The shadow then, changed the rotten apple in his hand to be fresh again. After turning the apple into fresh again, he then ate it very voraciously.

"Tch, hell-origin creature," Cologne snarled. After spouting his sarcasm Cologne glanced briefly at the shadows. "Hey Troublemaker! What name should I call you?" Cologne was curious as to what call he could give to the shadow that was the incarnation of the devil in front of him right now. Besides, he didn't feel like he had lived with this demon for more than two weeks. And until now, he had never clearly called out the name of the devil.

The shadow looked flatly at the human who was asking for his nickname. "Just call me Berlin," he said nonchalantly.

Cologne frowned. "Why, did you choose such a name? You should be able to, use a name that refers more to your current existence. You can use a summons like Lucifer, Devil, or something?"

"Because now I live in Germany. And also coincidentally now I live in Berlin. So I want you to call me by the nickname Berlin," said the demon casually.

Cologne really did not expect, that the devil had such thoughts. He thought, this one demon would name himself with a very scary name. But what he got was the exact opposite. Whether this one demon is a typical devil who doesn't want to be bothered or something like that, Cologne really doesn't understand his seemingly simple way of thinking. He lazily stared at the demon. "That's up to you," he said lazily. Cologne then handed Berlin a plate of Pretzels. "Eat this, I see you really like this cake don't you?" he said offering the cake to Berlin.

Berlin smiled happily. It was true that this cake was the most delicious cake he had ever eaten so he looked very happy. "Hey humans, it turns out that your people are also smart enough to make food that tastes just right for the devil," said Berlin, enjoying getting Pretzels from Cologne.
