"Look at this, Babajide! The trash collector actually followed us here," Ronke said, her voice cutting through the quiet showroom. She stopped dead in her tracks, pointing a long, manicured finger at my chest.

Babajide scoffed, adjusting his expensive silk tie as he walked past a row of sparkling sports cars. He looked down his nose at my dripping clothes, completely missing the fact that the general manager, Mr. Ade, was currently bowing on the floor with his face pressed against my bare feet.

"Tunde, you really have no shame," Ronke said, stepping forward with a disgusted expression. "Did you follow me here to beg? Did you think that by crying in public, I would tear up the divorce papers? Get it through your thick head. We are over. I am about to buy a luxury car with a real billionaire, while you are still picking up plastic bottles for a living.

"He probably came here to steal car parts," Babajide said, bursting into a loud laugh. He reached into his leather wallet, pulled out a stack of crisp bills, and tossed them carelessly into the air. The money fluttered down, landing in the muddy water near my feet. "There you go, beggar. Pick that up and go buy yourself some cheap slippers. Do not ruin our shopping experience.

I stood perfectly still, looking at them. For two years, I had taken every single insult from Ronke and her family because I thought that was what a good husband was supposed to do. I had ruined my health, skipped meals, and allowed people to treat me like a dog just to keep peace. But now, looking at her smug face, I felt absolutely nothing. No sadness. No regret. Just a cold realization that she was a deeply hollow person.

"Get up, Mr. Ade," I said, ignoring the two villains completely. My voice was low and calm, but it filled the massive room.

The general manager scrambled to his feet instantly. His face was soaked in sweat, and his hands were shaking so hard he could barely hold his tablet. "Yes, Chairman Vance! Right away, Chairman!"

Ronke’s laughter stopped. She blinked, looking between Mr. Ade and me. "Mr. Ade, what did you just call him? Why are you playing around with this homeless loser? He is my ex-husband. He does not have a single Kobo to his name."

"Shut your mouth!" Mr. Ade turned on her, his face turning bright red with anger. "You are speaking to the absolute owner of Apex Motors! Chairman Vance just purchased one hundred percent of our corporate shares. He owns this building, he owns every vehicle on this floor, and he owns my entire career!"

The showroom went completely quiet. The other sales associates stood frozen like statues, their mouths wide open.

Babajide’s face twisted in disbelief. He took a step forward, grabbing Mr. Ade by his collar. "What kind of nonsense joke is this? I am Babajide, the heir to the entire Babajide Group! My father moves millions of dollars every day. This guy is a literal garbage collector. How can he buy a company?"

"Check the system yourself, Young Master Babajide!" Mr. Ade said, pulling away from his grip. "The corporate notification just went through. His name is on the legal title. If you do not believe me, look at the giant electronic billboard on the wall."

Babajide turned his head toward the massive digital display above the reception desk. The screen, which usually showed advertisements for luxury SUVs, suddenly flashed with bold, golden text: Welcome to our new Chairman and Ultimate Shareholder, Mr. Tunde Vance. Below the text was a crystal-clear copy of my national identity card.

Ronke’s bag slipped from her hand, hitting the marble floor with a dull thud. She stared at the screen, her chest rising and falling quickly. "No... this is impossible. This must be a mistake. Tunde, where did you steal this money from? Tell me!"

Before I could answer her, a sudden, bright crimson warning light flashed inside my brain. The Scavenger System gave a series of sharp, alarming chimes that made my vision vibrate.

[Alert! Host System is scanning target: Babajide.]

[Hidden Status Discovered: Target possesses a foreign auxiliary life-form known as the Fake Villain Luck-Stealing System.]

[Deep Scan Complete: Target has been actively draining the destiny and health of your bloodline for the past three years. This stolen luck is the direct source of his family's recent business success.]

[System Discovery: The life-threatening illness destroying your sister Ife's body was intentionally caused by the target's system to siphon your family's life force!]

The words burned into my mind like hot iron.

My sister wasn't just sick by accident. She wasn't suffering because of some terrible twist of fate. She was dying in a cold hospital bed because the man standing in front of me was a literal monster who had stolen her health to buy his ten-thousand-dollar suits.

A wave of intense, raw emotion exploded inside my chest. My hands clenched into tight fists, the physical power from the Dragon Bloodline turning my grip rock-hard.

Babajide noticed the sudden change in my eyes. He took a step back, his face losing its color. For the first time since I had met him, his arrogant smile disappeared, replaced by a sudden look of pure panic. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone, his fingers typing furiously as if he were trying to activate something.

"You..." Babajide muttered, his voice shaking. "What is wrong with your face? Stay away from me!"

"Mr. Ade," I said, my voice completely dark. "Lock the doors. Nobody leaves this building."

"Run," the voice said again. It was a familiar, distorted tone, like someone speaking through a heavy blanket. Before I could ask who it was, the line went dead.I looked down at my phone. The signal was gone. Ms. Alabi and her team finally burst into the room, their boots loud against the floor. She saw the empty space where my sister had been and the lingering dark energy of the man who looked like me."Where is she?" she asked, her voice tight."Taken," I said. My hands were balled into fists, my knuckles white. "They are holding her at an underground facility. They want the Scavenger System."Ms. Alabi walked over to the spot where the man had stood. She knelt down and picked up a tiny, glowing black feather that had been left behind. As soon as her skin touched it, her eyes turned wide with realization."Tunde, this is not a normal kidnapping," she said, standing up. "This feather is the mark of the Black Sun Faction. They are not just any shadow group; they are the people who ha

The phone screen turned into black static. My sister was in danger. Every second I wasted here felt like a sharp needle piercing my chest. I did not care about Elder Balogun’s aging body or the fact that he was crawling on the floor like a dying insect. He was a distraction."Ms. Alabi!" I turned to her, my voice hard as stone. "Get your helicopters in the air. We are leaving for Apex Hospital right now."Ms. Alabi’s calm mask slipped for a moment. She looked at her own communication tablet, which was also flickering with warnings. "Tunde, something is wrong. The entire hospital network has been locked from the inside. This is not just a standard hack. Someone is using a high-level system override to shield that room from our tracking sensors. If we go there, we might walk straight into a trap.""I do not care about a trap," I said, already moving toward the exit. "Ife is the only thing that matters. If they want a war, they can have it."I ran out of the broken dealership, my feet hi

The stone staff slammed against the broken tile floor, sending a sharp shockwave through the entire showroom. The thick white smoke began to clear, revealing a massive old man with a long grey beard and glowing green eyes. He wore a dark traditional robe that looked out of place among the luxury cars."Who dares to touch the host of the system faction in my presence?" the old man asked, his voice shaking the remaining glass panels. Before I could move, Ms. Alabi stepped in front of me, her eyes narrowing into two thin slits. She did not look at the old man with fear. Instead, her face filled with an intense, burning hatred that told me she had been waiting for this exact enemy for a very long time. This woman did not just rule corporations; she knew the hidden supernatural underworld of Lagos better than anyone."Elder Balogun," Ms. Alabi said, her voice dropping to a dangerous tone. The silver tracking device in Babajide’s hand beeped like a ticking bomb. A bright red laser dot appeared right on Ms. Alabi’s chest, moving slightly as his hand shook. The young master was cornered, his eyes wide like a wild animal trying to escape a trap."Stay back, all of you!" Babajide shouted, his voice cracking under the pressure. "Ms. Alabi, you think your global consortium rules Lagos City? You think this trash collector can just take my family's empire? My system has an automated self-defense weapon! If anyone takes another step, this device will send a deadly signal straight to the main power grid of Apex Hospital. Your sister’s room will burn to ashes in five seconds, Tunde!"I took a sharp breath, my body freezing. The relief I felt just moments ago turned into an immediate, sharp panic. • The Legend on His Knees

The most feared mob boss in Lagos City stood completely still, his large hands trembling. Commander Okoro, a man who had ended dozens of lives without blinking, looked at me as if he were looking at a ghost. The cold pride in his eyes vanished completely, replaced by pure terror."Commander, what are you waiting for?" Babajide called out, stepping forward with an impatient frown. "I paid your syndicate a fortune this month. I told you to break this garbage collector's limbs! Why are you just standing there staring at him? Move your men and crush him right now!"Commander Okoro did not move a single inch toward me. Instead, a heavy sweat broke out across his scarred forehead. He could feel the invisible weight of the Dragon Bloodline filling the entire room. To an ordinary person like Ronke or Babajide, it just felt like the room had become very heavy. But to a master of ancient martial arts like Okoro, it felt like standing before a god."Shut up," Okoro said. His voice was low, but i
