Muzak Pizza, Dimvale City.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

Landon parked his courier bike in front of the pizza shop and then his phone rang out loudly.

Without hesitation, he picked up the call after identifying the caller’s ID.

“Hello, Jude.”

[“Hey Landon where the hell are you bro?! The party has already begun and I have still not seen you!” ]

“Sorry, Bro. I just delivered my last order of the day so I should be there in thirty minutes.”

[ Come on bro! I thought you said you would close from work 1 hour before the party. This job is taking a toll on you. You know…I’ve already told you, you don’t have to depend on the job. I can help you out! We are brothers after all! ]

“I know bro and I appreciate your help but I’ll be okay. I will definitely be there in 30 minutes.”

Landon felt touched when Jude, his dorm mate offered to help him but he did what he had always done. Refuse Jude’s help.

Landon was a poor 23-year-old guy who attended the prestigious Cradle Valley University but he could only do so because of the scholarship program he had won in the school. Affording the tuition of Cradle Valley University was not what he could dream of but luckily he had gotten a scholarship that paid for his tuition and his accommodations but that was about it.

Even with this luck Landon still found his life very exhausting in trying to cope with every other basic needs and this is what led him to do any odd jobs he could find to fend for himself. In his few years in this school, he has done so many odd jobs that he can barely keep track of.

Only he was a pizza delivery boy, an errand boy, and he sometimes even worked as a university janitor, to top it all off he has to be an excellent student in order not to fall behind in his grade which can lead to the loss of his scholarship.

Life was just too hard for him but even at that he decided to refuse Jude’s help because he did not want to be a burden to anyone much less someone he regarded as his brother.

Jude replied feeling disappointed over the phone. [ “Okay…bro! Just know you can always ask me for anything if you ever need any help. Just do your best and get here fast we need to have fun for our win against the Bulls team!”]

Landon smiled weakly as he heard the crowd of elating screams and music in the background of the call. “Okay, I’ll be there soon bro.”

[ “By the way…Landon is Tricia still coming to the party with you?”]

At this point, Landon sighed in disappointment. “No, she’s not attending the party. She said she got sick the day before yesterday so she won’t be coming. To be honest I really did not want to come after finding out she won’t be going with me but I can’t disappoint you guys so I want to come.”

[ “Ummm…I don’t know if I’m seeing things but I just saw Tricia here in the hotel a second ago or did she tell you she would come?” ]

“Huh?” Landon frowned with confusion. “She didn’t tell me she would be going? Can you see her at the party?”

[ “No. no. I just saw her for a minute before she walked away…In short, maybe I’m probably seeing things just find a way to get over here quick!”]

“Oh. Okay I’ll be t-“

“Landon!”

Landon shuddered at the voice of a middle-aged woman, standing at the door of the pizza shop.

“Manager Rita!” Landon replied as walked in haste towards the middle-aged woman.

“I have one last order for you!” The woman said with a serious tone.

“Umm…Manager Rita my shift ended one hour ago and I’m afraid I won’t be able to go fulfill this order because I have somewhere I need to be.”

“Huh…you said what?!” Manager Rita frowned with contempt. “What nonsense are you talking about?! An order of one thousand five hundred dollars came in a while ago and It is from one of our VIP customers, I have no one to do the delivery around so I don’t want to disappoint our customer.”

“But…Manage-”

“No buts! It’s either you do the delivery or you can forget you have a job here!” Manager Rita instantly retorted, not giving Landon a chance to explain himself.

Landon felt like he was about to blow up in rage. He had every right to do so but he did not dare do so because he knew deep down he needed this job. Losing this job would be almost equal to losing half of his life as well. He knew that Manger Rita was not joking so he could only agree.

“I’ll go, Manager Rita,” Landon replied dejectedly.

“Okay now go meet Bruce he will give you the order details. Move fast and proceed to the Exotic Nature Lodges!”

“Exotic Nature Lodges?” Landon was stunned.

That is the place where his university is holding their party today. The Exotic Nature Lodges was one of the most luxurious hotels in the Dimvale city. The reason their university was having a party there was because their basketball team had won against a strong rival basketball team that they had been drawing with for three years now. To celebrate the top rich students of the basketball team decided to throw a party there inviting the whole school.

Hearing that he had to deliver an order to this hotel made him extremely demotivated. He was not in a good state to be seen like this by his peers in such a place, however, Landon could only swallow his complaints because the consequences of losing this pizza job would be far more severe than his discomforting situation.

“Did you say anything?” Manager Rita turned to look at him with a frown.

“No nothing. I’m going now.” Landon miserably replied as he entered the pizza shop.

Landon got the amount of pizza needed for the order, and 15 minutes later he was already at the Exotic Nature Lodges.

With the pizza in his hands, he was stopped by the security of the hotel. They called to confirm his order and let him in.

It was a usual thing for their customers to order pizza so they did not see anything odd about it when the room owner admitted he had ordered pizza they allowed Landon to enter the hotel after giving him looks of contempt.

Landon entered the Exotic Nature Lodges with the heap of ten pizzas over his shoulder. He was looking fatigued and along the way to the hotel room, he noticed the event had already started in the event center of the Exotic Nature Lodges, however, too bad he had to deliver this last order first.

‘I will be really terribly late today.’

Apparently, when Landon was walking through the hallway of the hotel someone noticed him across the hallway and made a call.

“Hello, Xander he’s here. Okay, okay.” The young guy hung up and smiled mischievously.

Landon finally got to the hotel room that had made the pizza order.

Knock. Knock.

Landon knocked and then a burly man in a black suit opened the door.

“Hey I’m here to deliver a pizza order from

Muzak Pizza!”

The burly man who was surely dressed like a security man looked at Landon from up to down and said. “Come in.”

Landon entered the room, with the ten pizza boxes still on his shoulder. As it turned out it was a luxurious suite that only spelled one word. Luxury!

“Come!” The serious-looking burly man in black gestured and then opened a door.

Landon felt that the burly man looked familiar to him but that thought was finally driven out of his mind as the pack of ten pizzas fell from his shoulder with a shocked look on his face.

“…T-Tricia…” Landon stood still as his face grew pale immediately.

Inside the room, the tall burly man had abruptly opened for Landon was a blonde handsome man who sat with a cheerful expression as a young lady rested her face on his lap with her black hair covering most of her head. However, upon the door opening the girl had been so shocked that she stopped what she was doing with a shocked expression on her face.

Landon felt that he had just interrupted an awkward scene between two lovers but that thought was suddenly replaced with shock when he identified the girl. It was Tricia! Tricia! Tricia his girlfriend!

To confirm his eyes the girl was also looking at Landon through the opened door with a shocked expression as well!

‘…This…can’t be…No…’

“Tricia!”

Landon screamed in pain!

George pressed the buttons on the console, one after another, his fingers moving in frantic succession until a sharp click echoed through the checkpoint booth. The sound was unmistakable—the current flowing through the massive iron gate had been cut off, and the locks disengaged with a dull thud. For the first time since his ordeal began, freedom was within his grasp. He quickly stepped out of the checkpoint building, his movements brisk yet cautious, as though he feared someone might appear to snatch this slim chance away. Without hesitation, he rushed to the gate, placed his hands firmly against its cold metal, and heaved it open manually. The iron groaned under his effort, but it yielded, and as the gap widened, George slipped through with a surge of relief that coursed through every vein in his body.Stepping outside that cursed facility, George drew in a deep breath of the cool night air. He felt the weight of confinement leave his chest. Yet, his relief was short-lived. Just as

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 490

A couple of minutes earlier—right after George Anderson had stormed out of the room where Adam and Dexter were facing each other—he wandered aimlessly through the endless, suffocating hallways of the sprawling plant facility, muttering curses under his breath. He still remembered Adam’s sharp command to leave, as if Adam had any right to order him around.“Why is it so damn hard to leave this place?!” George snapped, his voice echoing against the metallic walls. His frustration wasn’t just about the labyrinth-like building; it was also a boiling resentment toward Adam. The memory of Adam’s command replayed in his head like an irritating itch he couldn’t scratch. Adam’s cold tone, his absolute certainty—George smacked his tongue loudly, his anger swelling.“That bastard!” George hissed. “Ordering me around like we’re equals. Who the fuck does he think he’s talking to?!” His fists clenched tightly, his nails biting into his palms as he fumed. For a brief moment, George entertained the t

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 489

He had just come to the bitter realization that what Adam said earlier was true—there was absolutely no way to escape the suffocating grip of the plant if Andrews hoped to keep concealing himself. Every possible strategy he had considered had collapsed into dust the moment Adam’s words sank in.If Andrews truly wanted to break free, then he would have to abandon the mission and escape without the other targets. Yet that option was never on the table for him. The mission was far too important. His responsibility to the others, to their cause, outweighed even his own survival. Adam knew this, and that was exactly why he stood there, calm and steady, while Andrews was trapped in despair. It was only a matter of time before Andrews met his death at Adam’s hands.Adam inhaled deeply, his chest rising as he steadied his breath, then sighed in a tone that carried both weariness and sharp determination. His eyes, glowing faintly with restrained fury, locked on Dexter.“Now,” Adam said, his vo

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 488

The way Adam held Dexter up by his neck—his toes barely brushing the dusty floor—made the mage look like a ragdoll dangling helplessly in the air. Dexter’s face was turning an unhealthy shade of red, and his breath came in short, desperate rasps as the pressure on his windpipe increased. His eyes bulged slightly, and beads of sweat formed on his forehead. He tried to squirm free, but Adam’s grip was like iron. The suffocating sensation was unbearable, yet Dexter’s ego refused to allow him to plead for mercy. He would rather choke than beg Adam for release. That same stubborn arrogance that had carried him this far pushed him to gamble on one last desperate move. Since Adam had brought their bodies so close, Dexter thought perhaps he could take advantage of the proximity to land a surprise strike.Summoning every ounce of willpower left in his fading body, Dexter reached into his pocket with his free hand. His fingers fumbled, but at last they found the handle of a small concealed knif

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 487

Adam groaned, his tone carrying both annoyance and fatigue. Things had become far more complicated than he had anticipated. What was supposed to be a straightforward takedown was spiraling into something much more difficult.Who would have imagined that Dexter, the arrogant mage, was capable of pulling off something so dangerous—changing the trajectory of his fireballs, turning them into guided projectiles that acted almost like homing missiles? It wasn’t something Adam had expected, and it was impressive in its own twisted way. Then again, Dexter wasn’t just any random mage. He was well-versed in spellcraft, someone with a frighteningly deep pool of knowledge and experience. More importantly, he was a recognized member of Saber Synth, the most powerful and feared magical organization in the entire world. With credentials like that, perhaps nothing Dexter did should ever be considered *too* surprising. And yet, even with that in mind, this new development bordered on the ridiculous.“

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 486

Angry and frustrated that his last barrage had failed to strike Adam, Dexter began to unleash fireballs one after the other in rapid succession. His target remained the same—Adam, who kept darting around the room with incredible speed, evading every single attack as though the fireballs were nothing more than playful sparks.Adam’s plan was simple yet highly effective. He wasn’t going to recklessly charge in. Instead, he chose to keep moving, carefully circling and closing in on Dexter while dodging the incoming fireballs. Once he was close enough, he intended to finish the battle swiftly.Dexter, however, wasn’t a fool. He knew exactly what Adam was planning. That was why he continued to fire one scorching purple flame after another, not necessarily to hit Adam directly, but to maintain distance and keep the martial artist from closing the gap.But there was a limit. Dexter was running out of ammunition. He understood the mechanics of his own spell better than anyone else, and he kne
