David Longman still wanted to utter a few more insulting remarks to Calvin, but of course, his mouth was now blocked by his own astonishment.

"Impossible..." David Longman murmured softly, "the young man was just groping Emily's body, but how could this heal Emily?"

David Longman's two assistants were also equally surprised as the doctor. They were also convinced that Emily could not possibly be healed. Especially just by being groped with empty hands.

Impossible!

Meanwhile, Edward Miller ran over to his daughter to check on Emily while Calvin Reed seemed to stand up and look at David Longman and his assistants.

"Who was joking about wanting to plead to be my disciple earlier?" Calvin asked, of course with a wide victorious smile.

David Longman was silenced in shame. Overwhelmed with curiosity, he walked over to Emily, who was now in Edward's lap.

The doctor tried to touch the pulse in Emily's hand while observing Emily's condition overall. David's surprise grew. Emily not only recovered from poisoning, but he could also predict that Calvin had actually improved Emily's blood flow.

"What technique have you used, young man?" David Longman asked Calvin, now he couldn't hide his admiration and surprise. "Young man, what is your name? May... May I talk to you another time? Oh, I mean, may I study under you?"

David Longman's two assistants were also stunned when they saw their senior now showing great respect to the young man they had insulted before.

Calvin Reed smiled kindly and extended his hand to David Longman. "Calvin Reed. If I'm not busy, of course, we can talk later."

David Longman felt his hair stand on end as he shook Calvin's hand. Whether it was an emotional sensation or if Calvin really had a special aura, he couldn't distinguish. But one thing was certain, David Longman now showed great respect to Calvin.

"Thank you for your generosity, Mr. Reed," David said to Calvin.

Calvin Reed nodded, then turned to Edward Miller.

"Your daughter is healthy now, she just needs enough rest to restore her depleted energy during the treatment process," Calvin murmured to Edward.

Edward Miller nodded with teary eyes, he thanked repeatedly while hugging his daughter's limp body. Clearly, Emily was awake but the girl looked weak and powerless.

"Mr. Reed, as I promised earlier, please state your request, and I will fulfill it. I hope your request is within my capabilities."

At that moment, Calvin Reed was about to say something. But, shouts were heard from the mansion's gate.

"Dad.. How is Emily?"

A girl's voice could be heard panting as she approached everyone.

Calvin turned around, how surprised he was to see who was coming.

"You?!" Calvin exclaimed in surprise.

"You?!" the girl said, equally surprised. She then looked around; a while ago her father called, informing that her sister was in bad condition, and she hurried home. However, she was surprised to meet again the man who slept with her last night.

"You shameless bastard! You even followed me home?!" the girl scolded Calvin.

Calvin furrowed his brows and replied, "look carefully, I came here first. Isn't it more like you followed me?!"

"Jerk! I'll report you to the police!"

"Dahlia!" Edward Miller scolded his eldest daughter. "Show your respect to Mr. Reed!"

Dahlia Miller furrowed her brows. "Mr. Reed?"

"Yes. Mr. Calvin Reed was the one who healed your sister! Apologize to him for your rash behavior!" Edward scolded again. "I even swore to comply with Mr. Reed's request as a favor, how could you come here and directly yell at him?!"

Dahlia Miller fell silent. Her younger sister had just been healed by a shameless man who slept with her last night.

"Me? Apologize to him?" Dahlia asked her father, still struggling to digest the situation.

"No need. Besides, I don't want an apology from her," Calvin intervened in the tension between Edward and his eldest daughter, "Because, actually there is something else I want."

Dahlia Miller swallowed hard, she shuddered at the thought of what Calvin might say. She was afraid Calvin would mention last night's incident and blackmail her father to keep Calvin's mouth shut.

"State your wish, Mr. Reed," Edward said.

"Sir, I do not need any reward related to what I’ve done to your daughter's recovery. But, there is one thing I desire. I want to cancel my engagement with the Miller family's granddaughter."
