Chapter Fifty

I took my seat right beside the triplets, masking my confusion with my eyes trailing back to my mother on the platform with her new husband.

“Hey you, good afternoon.”

I turned the voice greeting me, it was Vladiel. The one who supposedly hates communication is starting one with me. He sounded nothing like the one I left sitting in my room, quite the opposite actually.

I faked a friendly smile, masking a sweet face. “How are you? How was the city? Or studying?” I quizzed, with feigned enthusiasm.

“Ah!” He exclaimed, followed by a boisterous laughter, confusing me on what was funny about my questions. “I’m sorry, just that I thought you weren’t going to be this nice when I greeted you. So it was kind of like a slam on my assumption when you actually played nice. Well I can’t say much about the city, it’s exhausting as well as exotic.
