Yazan and Marwan had been friends long before Marwan became a Knight. Yazan had watched as Marwan endured beatings from adults when he stole from shops, and though Yazan's parents warned him to stay away, he never did. At school, teachers would scold Marwan on a daily basis while the troublemakers adored him, he was something like a gang leader among them. They weren't close until one day, when Marwan asked Yazan to tutor him in Arabic.

"I'll get expelled if I fail again," Marwan had said, his usual bravado gone. "Please."

Yazan had agreed, and from that moment, their friendship began.

One afternoon after school, as they played football, a group of bullies attacked Yazan for his team's victory. Just as Yazan hit the ground, Marwan appeared out of nowhere.

"Touch him again and I'll break your arms!" Marwan had snarled, standing between Yazan and the bullies.

From that day forward, they were inseparable. Yazan covered for Marwan's absences when he skipped school to train,

The tires screeched as Ali pulled up to headquarters. Before the car had fully stopped, Laith was already striding toward Hadi's office, with Ali close behind.Hadi looked up from his desk, his expression grave. "You're sure he's telling the truth?"Laith nodded. "I don't think he's lying, he looked desperate for help. And we can't turn our back on him, we must find a way to get rid of the ghoul."Hadi leaned back in his chair, folding his arms. "Go to your grandfather."Laith blinked. "My grandpa? Why?""He'll know what to do.""That doesn't make sense—""Just go," Hadi cut in, firm. "Time is running out."Laith hesitated, then exhaled sharply. "Fine."The drive to his grandparents' house was quiet, Ali gripping the wheel while Laith stewed in silence. When they arrived, the familiar scent of jasmine from the garden hit him, a flood of childhood memories. Before he could knock, the door swung open."Laith!" His grandmother gasped, her face lighting up. She pulled him into a crushing

The prison cell light cast shadows across The detainee, whose name is Salim Al Ramhi's face as he began speaking, his voice hollow. Laith and Ali sat across from him, listening intently."It started with my wife," Salim said, staring at the floor. "No, my ex-wife now. We fought constantly near the end. She accused me of stealing her money, but I swear to you, I never stole anything in my life. Not from her, not from anyone." His hands trembled as he spoke."When the divorce was finalized, she got everything, the house, our savings, even our cat." A bitter laugh escaped his lips. "I ended up in a tiny apartment, barely enough room to turn around. But I thought... at least I still had my job at the hotel."He looked up, his eyes glistening. "Then her father got involved. That bastard went to my boss and told him I was a thief, a scammer. Suddenly I was fired with no references. No one would hire me after that. The rumors spread... thief, fraud, dishonest." Salim's voice cracked. "I sen

Ali decided to go to Dr. Abu Jumana, bringing Jumana with him so the doctor could have fun playing with her and agree to translate for him. The moment Dr. Abu Jumana saw Jumana, his face lit up, and he immediately started playing with her. "Are you happy, sweetheart?" Dr. Abu Jumana asked, his voice warm. "Are they feeding you well? Don’t tell me they’re torturing you and experimenting on you?" Ali reassured him, "Don’t worry, she’s living better than me and you. No one lays a finger on her." Dr. Abu Jumana smiled, relief washing over him. "Good, Alhamdulliah she’s happy and managed to move on after me." Ali seized the opportunity. "Since I’ve been good to you and brought Jumana to cheer you up, how about returning the favor and translating this video for me?" He pulled out his phone and showed Dr. Abu Jumana the video of the suspect speaking in the Ghoul language. Suddenly, Dr. Abu Jumana burst into laughter. "Of course, you wouldn’t do this out of the kindness of your hear

Laith brought the report to Ali and handed it over. "I got the name and background of the suspect," he said.Ali took the report and scanned it carefully. "Who is he?" he asked."His name is Saad Jazra," Laith replied. "He's 32 years old and used to work as a hotel security guard."Ali frowned. "What happened after that?""Later, he was fired for unknown reasons and disappeared for a while," Laith explained. "Then, a few months later, he was caught selling drugs."Ali nodded slowly, absorbing the information. "Good work," he said. "We'll need to track him down."Laith and Ali tried to interrogate the suspect, but he refused to say anything. Frustrated, Ali rubbed his temples, thinking about how to make him talk.Just then, an officer approached them. "I tried listening to him at night," the officer said, "but the suspect was speaking a strange language, I didn't understand a word."Ali turned to Laith. "I also didn't understand what he was saying," he admitted. "I've been watching him

  • Chapter 188, The Mysterious Detainee .

The ghoul appeared, dressed exactly like the detainee, the drug dealer they caught. The moment he stepped into the cell, Ali’s sharp eyes caught the unnatural hue of his skin and the eerie glow in his eyes. Without hesitation, Ali raised his sword, his grip tightening as he prepared to strike. But before he could swing, Laith grabbed his arm, stopping him mid-motion. "What are you doing?" Laith demanded, his voice sharp. "Can’t you see this is a ghoul, not a human?" Ali responded. "Wait a minute," Laith insisted, his gaze locked onto the creature. "Something’s wrong." The ghoul’s lips twisted into a grotesque smile. Before either of them could react further, it lunged, claws slashing through the air. But Ali and Laith were faster, they sidestepped with practiced ease, countering in unison. A swift strike to the legs brought the ghoul down, and within moments, they had it pinned and bound. Panting slightly, Ali shot Laith a look. "Next time, we strike first and ask questi

  • Chapter 187, A Crises At The Police Station.

Ali was very proud of Fadi and what he’d done. Thanks to him, they’d caught the traitor, which meant they’d have some peace from the Ghouls’ invasions, or at least for a while. They knew Waleed the despicable would eventually find another way, such as the labs where they were being developed, or worse, the bee hives that spawned them in the first place. A single Ghoul Queen Bee in the country would be a disaster on its own. That was why Hazim had been so busy lately, making frequent trips to Jenin and Tulkarm to investigate the Ghoul hives and secret labs. That's why Laith and Hazim had gotten into such a bad fight that Laith showed up at Ali’s place bruised and upset. "Who hit you?" Ali asked. "My brother," Laith muttered. "You must’ve pissed him off," Ali said. "No, he’s just hot-headed," Laith replied. "Honestly, he’s been patient with you," Ali pointed out. "He gave you a whole year before college just so you could figure things out. You must’ve come up with
