Her toes were curled as her eyes followed him till he disappeared, the last words he said was;
"What's wrong with me"
Deep in her heart, she wished to run furthered with him, it was the first time she was really this close to a man especially this man who everyone knew as being ruthless but he was quite different from today! Her eyes met her palm which still felt his warmth from earlier when they locked hands to escape from danger.
He had beckoned on her to tie up that stranding hair of hers, so it could aid her too to see clearly and just walked pass her lamenting to himself. What made her heart melt was the fact that this man accorded with respect and even thanked her, out of the blue for offering to help him, from those after him.
His voice was so serene that it got her bothering if he was the same man from the rumors, her eyes scrutinized what he wore, his wedding dress had really become a mess that she could describe how it looked on him. However, he still charming and those alluring dark eyes of his could make anyone fall for him despite his wretched outfit. A sad smile was suspended on her lips as she glanced at the sky then the white sand which almost buried her feet. It got her wondering how she ran into this runaway groom.
"What a pervert, he truly doesn't remember that night does he?" She muttered as her gaze became agonized. Her heart thundered and she plunge her hand in her pocket, brought out an expensive watch and scoffed, then she tugged it back.
Furthermore, she packed her hair into a dough, sigh and took a different path too without giving much thought about it because she was certain he knew his way around this place.

He raked his hair with his fingers and limply sat on the sand, he felt like weeping because everything was tiring, where would he go from here? It got him confused why a woman in a wedding dress joined the queue of those that demanded him wanted? What if a huge ransom was placed on his head?
Possibly that could be enough reason why everyone was after him, however, he was still surprised why that strange bossy girl helped him out. He had been running in circles so he thought as every path was leading to the sea! He didn't even know his way around here but just saw a need to leave that girl alone because he was a loner who needed to carry his problems along.
"What's going on!" He yelled panting briefly as he couldn't go further in his journey but needed to take cover in this place. From the look of it, he was in an island and hiding in the forest could be risky since wild animals might devour him.
"Damn it! Where have I been brought to? The whole world's on my neck!" He groaned and began to wince, his resting feet kicked against the sand frantically, and mistakenly they fell on someone who grunt softly.
She shook off the dust from her head, hiccuped and tottered to where the anxious Alex sat. It was a drawn lady who was facing the vast ocean and attempted to stand up when she was bath with sand from the lad.
At first, he thought she was a ghost since it was dark except for the moon that acted like a guide. However, when she drew closer, he could tell she was a pathetic woman who had given her weary soul to drinking. Nevertheless, he was in trouble for provoking a drunkard. He had to apologize but she kept coming closer as though to drain his blood or something.
Her eyes were boggy, as she fought hard to get a glimpse of this man whose skin looked perfectly tone, she couldn't help but stare at his eyes which had innocence in them. She snickered while staggering close to him. As for Alex, he shifted his body backwards if perhaps she was danger he needed to refrain from.
She had beer in one hand and the other pointed hazardly at his face and said;
"Found ya!"
Alex swallowed hard, placed his hands on the sand as this drunked lady leaned her face over and giggled. He didn't want to go through the trouble of encountering another pretty lady again.
"How could I forget this face" she cried almost stumbling on him but she rolled herself over, to sit beside him while weeping. Her hand unhanded the bottle in her hand as she laughed hysterically to ease the pain in her chest but it wasn't going off.
"How dare..." She tried to speak a word at his face but her voice got choked that she had to cough out the mucus that was trapped in her throat. Alex saw this as a chance to sneak away from her but something made him stay put.
This lady suddenly leaned her head on his shoulder, closed her eyes and whispered;
"Please don't leave me again... I'm really scared"
He could see tears trickle from her shut eyes, she was mumbling something and he could tell she was falling asleep. No way! He can't be lured by this strange lady, what could he probably do?
"Hey!" He motioned shaking her to wake up and she puffed, sprang her eyes open, raised her head a bit and then chuckled with a sleepy tone This time around her head banged his chest which made him wince as he tapped her to stay conscious while questioning her where she lives if he could lead her home.
This lady's state was piteous and he felt she was suffering from heartbreaks because she kept saying; someone left her alone.
Obviously not him because she might have mistaken him for someone, couldn't this ladies tell he was their junior? Alex help her to get on her feet, she couldn't walk in this state neither could he carry her so he thought but then like a flash, he lifted her in his arms and gestured to her to lead the way.
This act of his made her heart flutter that goosebumps got her, those butterflies in her tummy hovered around with excitement but her face could tell that depression wouldn't wear off her face. She tested her head lazily on his shoulder while her lips spoke of the directions. He couldn't believe he was carrying yet another lady in his arm even when he was weary let alone walking with her! Where was the strength coming from as a minor?
