"Well, how does it feel to be back home?" Ivy asked Lucas who was examining their living room like it was a strange place.

"It feels…good. Feels like I haven't been here in years." He took a seat on the sofa, still looking around his home.

"I'm not the one who was hospitalized but I kinda feel that way too." Ivy said as she joined him.

"Yeah well that's probably because you barely came home at all."

"I couldn't bear to leave you alone." She said simply as she stared into his pale blue eyes that always seemed to make her toes curl.

"I'm really sorry you went through so much because of me."

"I'm the one who should be apologising, it should have been me and not you."

"I'm glad it was me. I don't know what I would have done if something bad had happened to you." It was true. Lucas would have lost it if Ivy was the one who got shot, he could recall how he almost went crazy when she had an accident.
