I was never a naughty student.
So, when Daniel and Dwayne woke me up in the middle of the night to go and smoke something called ‘Dragon’s Tail’ on the roof, naturally, my first reaction was to tell them off and go back to sleep.
But, I guess some aspects of being a young adult, such as peer pressure, exist even on a floating rock located in an uncharted galaxy.
After being called all sorts of derogatory names (most of which were a question of my sexuality) I found myself putting on my boots and sneaking out the dorm room.
Daniel was our leader, guiding us through the intermittently moon lit corridors.
When we had reached the floor beneath ours, I instinctively tried to take a look at the entrance to the girl's hostel.
I couldn’t see it. The sign wasn’t where it usually was. It was instead replaced by a blank wall space.
Probably hidden by the thick darkness of space.

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE
I was never a sciences nor a math’s person. I think that's evident from the fact that I had chosen to study English in college. It's not like I fell victim to the popular belief that I was too slow or stupid to do those subjects. I just tried to do what felt...right, I guess. And English was that.Besides, like I said before, maybe one day I would actually get to writing a novel that would blow up overnight and become the next Carrie or Harry Potter. But then again, I wonder sometimes, would that even matter given this life I have been forced into? I guess only time will tell. This contemplation is all stemming from the fact that the day after we smoked dragon's tail on the roof, we had our first real Mechanics lecture for the term. I use the term 'real' because we were supposed to have Mechanics three times a week according to the time table, but it had now been just over a month since my enrolment and that was the first time the lecturer actually showed up.
CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
“Are you sure this stuff is supposed to get you high?”I cleared my throat and spat the phlegm onto the rooftop. But, for some reason, I couldn’t stop looking at what I had coughed up. It was a golden ball of mucus and saliva congealing in the night air. It ended up looking like a tiny partially solid stone.“Yo...”Turning my head felt like the hardest thing I had ever done in my entire life. My ears began to buzz, and my mouth felt like it was stuffed with cotton. The three of us looked at each other. Dwayne and Daniel's eyes were bloodshot and half shut, and I assumed so were mine.“Do you guys...” began Dwayne, He inspected his hands like he had never seen them before, “Do you guys, uhmm.... feel it?”“I don't know what to do,” said Daniel, “Say, I mean, I mean know what to don't?”We looked at each other...Then burst into a hysterical laughter.Tears streamed down my face, and my lungs felt lik

CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
Soo Wong raised his hand."Yes?" said Mr.Hulio.“Isn't that thing too dumb to train on?” he asked.“Why do you say so? Have you ever fought one?”“I mean it's an A-rank.” chimed in Clarissa. She was a short and wide girl with thick blonde braids and a thick accent.Mr. Hulio smirked.“Okay then, why don't you and Clarissa show us how dumb it is then.”Mr. Hulio gave a mocking bow and gestured towards the simulation. They crossed the invisible threshold. It stretched and wobbled like electric jelly as they entered the ally way.The Klob imitated a crab walk before looking at the two in turn. Its curiosity evident even without a face.Clarissa summoned her bangles and punched her fists together. I'm not sure if this was in an attempt to intimidate the Renchi, but if it was, it didn't work.Soo Wong summoned his staff and swung it around flashily like thos
CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
As usual, the Director had already arrived. After training, which didn't feel quite as fulfilling as the other times, I headed over to the canteen. The spaghetti and mincemeat tasted bland. The orange soda tasted like flavored water, and the fizziness was misplaced, annoying. Daniel and Dwayne were on about something called Dead space and its steady decline throughout the trilogy. The tree had invaded my mind and set up indefinite residence. Images of it and the Director's badge shuffled in no particular order. I was slow to react when Daniel called me.“Wassup?”“You good man? You look like you got something on your mind.”“Not really, just tired. Didn't get much sleep last night.”“Yeah, Dwayne's masturbating sessions tend to do that to the newbies” said Daniel, “You'll get used to it though.”“Hey now, that's unwarranted.” Said Dwayne.“You do it like six
CHAPTER TWENTY
I rushed to the bathroom before I made my way to the Renchiology lecture. The whole time, I cursed myself for asking such a stupid question.I never ask questions, ever, and when I do, I decide to correct a grammatical error? But that look...Mr. Kajulu was not in a particularly good mood that day.“Daniel!”“Huh? I mean yes sir!”“What are the different groups of Renchiology and their classes?”“What. Are. The. different classes, uhm...”“I didn't know I was lecturing a parrot; I want a 1000-word essay on the Climatic influence of the Otherside on the evolution of Renchi, due tomorrow.”Dan hung his head.Dwayne laughed."David! same question. "“Renchi are classed into three main groups. Fliers, walkers, and swimmers. Fliers are Renchi that can fly, walkers use their legs to traverse the ground, and swimmers inhabit water bodies. These three main groups are further classified into
