Meeting Company Officials

"Did you see the construction in the White housing estate? Are there many people there?" Teni asked Damian, who had just arrived.

"Ah, yes, sir. I saw a lot of heavy equipment destroying buildings and contractors. There could be major construction going on. What's going on there? Is the neighborhood being evicted?" he asked with a serious face.

Pretending to be stupid was a lot of fun; Damian felt that this was his other life after he got tired of being the heir, so he could be a poor person like this by being the Damian Carden in Teni's life.

"I got word from Jerry like that. They said the people evicted them from the Moorsley company. They said they were going to build a house for them, so they were evicted. Do you think I'll get the same thing? Is my house going to be evicted and demolished by them soon?"

Damian frowned and then shook his head slowly. "I don't know about that, sir. It's just that as long as you don't cause any further trouble, it won't happen. The white estate is very far from your house, so it seems like he can still build a luxurious castle or mansion without having to be evicted. But it seems like since your house is quite close to it, it could be risky. Because, after all, for the size of the castle, it's usually very luxurious and nice, while a house like this would be an eyesore if it had to be left," he said, making Teni glare.

"You're saying my house is ugly?!" she asked irritably, making Damian press his lips together. "You're such an ignorant servant! For the last few months, you've been living in that house you said was ugly! You really don't know yourself!"

Damian remained silent as he listened to her words. He already knew that this man wouldn't listen to him because no matter what, he knew that this man had a lower-middle-class mindset.

"I'm just trying to say what I think. Don't be angry, sir," he said, bowing, making Teni snort in annoyance.

He walked into the house, grumbling, while Damian was already smiling secretly at him.

"If it weren't for you being my helper, then I would have kicked you out of here, too. But I don't want to get into trouble with you; if you hadn't helped me, then I probably wouldn't be here, and my company and family wouldn't be fine either. I'm still very kind and let a poor person like you insult me for as long as I can remember. Other than that, I also need a place here to rest and hide for a while. Maybe soon I'll be gone, back to my true self, but it's all come back and see." Damian said as he walked into the house.

His job here wasn't hard; he just had to serve him, and he didn't cook because someone else did. Every day, Teni would get food from outside because he would have people cook it for him, and then he would pay for it. The food that Teni and his daughter would always eat was a kind of food catering service, and Teni did it because she didn't like to cook.

So Damian's work was actually not that much, so he didn't mind doing it for a few more days or the next few months.

"The construction has already begun; according to what you asked, then we will build a luxurious castle or mansion there. When will you confess or leave the mansion?"

Damian was silent for a while in the room provided for him. "Just finish it first; once it's ready, then I'll stop."

There was no more conversation between them for a while until his men finally said.

"Last night, Miss Rose came to the house and asked where you were. I didn't say anything, and she gave me a wedding invitation letter. She ended up marrying your cousin, Thomas William. The news of your loss that is only spread among the family cannot be hidden anymore, sir. However, the longer it goes on, the bigger the problem will become. After all, not everyone agrees to keep this a secret. Even though you are known as a mysterious person, it doesn't mean that business enemies will keep quiet. When will you come to the company to meet the shareholders? Can't keep putting it off, sir. They want to meet," said Roy, his assistant who had been talking.

"Tomorrow, I will come to the company at 2 pm. Pick me up at the back of the housing estate that will be built. Bring my clothes that I will use," the breakup made Roy nod in the end.

"I will prepare the conditions and everything you said. Is Sir also going to meet Miss Rose? There is still a chance if you want to show yourself to her before she marries Young Master Thomas."

"I don't want to deal with a traitorous woman." Damian leaned back and said calmly. "Rose has always seemed to dislike me. She liked Thomas, so that was her choice. Although we were childhood sweethearts, the future did not bring us together. Thomas wants to take her; go ahead; even Thomas also wants to take my position as a leader of the Moorsley family and company. It's just that he needs to know; he can take her, but he can't take my company and family. Just let Rose and him be together; they will only be a burden if they are tied to me."

Roy nodded in understanding. "I understand."

"Keep my arrival tomorrow a secret from everyone in the Moorsley household. Do this until Rose and Thomas are legally married, and there is no longer any possibility of Rose bothering me. Once married, she will be Thomas' wife forever, then Thomas' dream of taking over the leadership will not happen because I will come on the day he wants to take it just for marrying Rose." Damian said with a sarcastic smile. "They intend to turn on me; they just forgot who I am. So I'll remind them nicely so that they don't feel victorious."

Roy smiled. "I'm sure you can handle any crisis well, sir. That's why I'm on your side. Hopefully, after this, you can get out of there and no longer be the servant of an older man. How long can you afford to have your dignity trampled on by him? After everything is done with the house, I hope you can settle things with Teni so that everything can go well," he replied, making Damian smile softly.

"Yes, I will take care of everything here. Do as I say, pick me up at 2 pm tomorrow when Teni is asleep. You have to make sure you're not late."

"Yes, sir. Then you get some rest; I'll prepare what you ask."
