CHAPTER 4: Choice & Transformation

The next morning, Vane came and knocked on the door.

"My king, open the door," he said.

"Come inside, the door is always open," Ren replied.

His voice was completely different. It was sweet like a melody, clear and cute.

Vane froze outside the door, shocked to hear such a sweet voice.

When he entered, he was even more shocked. The room had changed completely. It was no longer dark and bloody. It was beautiful, clean, and filled with warm magical light and flowers.

And when he looked at Ren, he was speechless.

Ren's body had become smaller and lean. His large horns were now small and elegant. His skin was clear, smooth, and flawless.

"What happened, my king?" Vane asked, his eyes wide.

"I transformed myself," Ren said with a smile. "How is this room? How is my new form, Vane?"

Vane could not speak for a moment. He was staring at him because he looked so attractive and handsome.

"You are more attractive and handsome, my king. Your voice... it is so kind and honest," Vane said.

"What about your old body, my king?" he asked.

Ren looked at himself. "I can't transform back anymore. My old body has vanished. From today, this is my body. And I love this new body."

Vane bowed his head respectfully. "It matches you, my king. It matches your new heart."

Ren smiled. "Call the council, Vane. It is important. We need to have a meeting."

Vane immediately left the room and called the council.

At The Council

When Ren walked into the council hall, everyone gasped.

All the demon generals and elders were shocked to see the new body of the Demon King.

One of the demons stood up. "My king... is it really you?"

Ren smiled, his kind and cute voice echoing in the hall. "Yes, it's me. And please, don't call me king anymore. From today, call me Haru, everyone."

They were all stunned. His voice was so clear, so kind, and so full of respect. The old Demon King never showed respect to anyone.

The General cleared his throat. "What did you want to discuss, my king... I mean, Haru?"

Haru looked at all of them and said, "I want to discuss how to transform this kingdom. I want to release all the slaves and the 50 human soldiers. If they want to stay in our kingdom, they can stay as free citizens. We will not force them."

They all looked at each other. In the past, they would have argued. But now, seeing how much he had changed and hearing the honesty in his voice, they trusted him.

"We agree, Haru," they said together. The meeting was over.

His Choice:

1. Make everyone equal

2. Transform the kingdom into a new kingdom

3. Release the slaves and the 50 soldiers

4. Make everyone happy

Haru smiled, and Vane was also happy to see him smile, because it was the first time he had ever seen his master truly smile.

"I will transform the kingdom now," Haru said to Vane.

"Yes, my king, I believe you," Vane replied.

The Transformation

Haru walked to the balcony and raised his hands. A massive wave of light magic spread across the entire kingdom.

The broken, dirty streets transformed into beautiful streets. There were bridges made of light, and tunnels glowing with magic.

The dirty huts transformed into beautiful houses with balconies, and on every balcony, there were beautiful, blooming flowers.

The slave market disappeared. In its place appeared a real market — full of food, beautiful flower shops, restaurants, hotels, hot springs, a large garden, and a play park for children.

The main gate of the kingdom, once covered in blood, was now covered in flowers.

When it was all done, Haru was happy. But all the demons and human slaves were completely shocked. They couldn't believe their eyes.

At last, he gathered all the humans and demons in the central square.

He looked at the humans and said, "From today, I release you. There are no more slaves in my kingdom. If you want to stay, you can stay as my people. If you don't want to stay, you are free to leave."

He saw that the humans were thin and hungry, so he used magic to create tables full of food and said, "Eat. This place, which was once a slave market, will become your new home."

The humans began to cry, not from fear, but from happiness. They never expected the Demon King to give them freedom.

One old slave whispered, "Shall we trust him?"

Another replied, "We will stay. If we leave now, the road outside is full of danger. We might die."

So they all agreed to stay.

Haru gave them new dresses and new homes, and they stayed in the Demon Kingdom.

Then he looked at the demons and said in a firm voice, "From today, no one is allowed to torture any human. Is that clear?"

All the demons knelt and agreed. "Yes, Haru!"

He then looked at both humans and demons and announced, "From today, you will all be equal in my eyes. No more homeless, no one will go hungry. You are all equal, both human and demon."

After 5 days, something amazing happened. The humans and demons began to respect each other. They began to love each other and became friends.

It was a new kingdom.

But Haru had forgotten one thing... because he was scared of the dungeon.

He had forgotten about the 50 soldiers still locked inside.
