The spotlight stayed locked on Marcel as the entire gala held its breath.

Olivia stood frozen a few feet away, her perfect smile cracking under the bright lights. Marcel walked straight toward her with slow, deliberate steps. Cameras flashed like crazy around them. He stopped right in front of her and spoke loud enough for everyone nearby to hear.

"Olivia Hart," he said calmly. "Funny seeing you here after you told me I was not good enough to breathe the same air as you."

Olivia forced a laugh but her voice shook. "Marcel, this is not the place. What are you even doing here?"

Marcel tilted his head slightly. "What am I doing? I am the one who now decides if your movie gets made or buried. You used to laugh at me for working three jobs. Now I own the jobs. How does that feel?"

Jake stepped up beside her, face red. "Back off, man. She does not need this tonight."

Aurora stood gracefully beside Marcel. "She needs exactly this. Go on, Olivia. Tell the room how you left him when he had nothing. Tell them how you called him a loser while another man was in your bed."

The crowd murmured louder. Olivia's cheeks burned bright red. "I was moving on. That is all. You cannot hold that against me forever."

Marcel smiled without warmth. "Watch me. Right now, in front of all these important people, I want you to say it. Say thank you for all the money I spent on your classes and auditions. Say it loud so the cameras catch every word."

Olivia glanced around desperately. People stared. Phones recorded everything. "Marcel please. Not here."

"Say it," he repeated, voice steady but carrying real pain underneath. The hurt from that breakup night still sat heavy in his chest. "Or I pull every sponsor from your project before dessert is served."

Tears welled in her eyes but she fought them. "Thank you. For everything you paid for. Happy now?"

Marcel leaned in closer. "Not even close. You mocked my sister too through your new boyfriend. Called my family trash. Now you work for me. I just bought out your entire contract. You and your team belong to my companies starting tonight. You will smile pretty in commercials I approve. Or you will disappear from this industry completely."

Jake grabbed her arm. "Liv, do not listen to him. This is crazy talk."

Aurora checked her phone quickly. "It is done. The papers are signed electronically. She is now under Marcel Kane's label. Welcome to the team, Olivia."

Olivia stared at Marcel in shock. "You cannot do this. I earned that role. I left you so I could have a real life."

"You left me broken," Marcel said, emotion cracking through his calm mask for a second. "Now you get to feel what that is like. Every day you show up to work, remember who owns you. Remember how you threw me away."

The room buzzed with whispers and flashes. Olivia looked smaller than ever under the lights. "I hate you for this."

"Good," Marcel replied. "Hate keeps you motivated. Now smile for the cameras. You are still the face of the industry, right? My industry."

---

Later that night back in the penthouse, Marcel stood by the tall windows staring at the city. The weight of everything hit him suddenly. Ten billion. Another two hundred billion pending. More money than he could spend in ten lifetimes. It felt impossible. Like he would wake up any second back on that rooftop ready to jump again.

"How did this happen?" he muttered to himself. "Yesterday I had nothing. Today I own people like Olivia. It does not feel real."

Aurora walked up behind him and slipped her arms around his waist. "It is real, Marcel. You earned this power through pain."

He turned slowly and pulled her closer. Their faces were inches apart. The warmth of her body against his felt like the first good thing in days. He leaned in and kissed her deeply. For a moment the cold rage inside him softened. Her hands moved up his back, holding him tight like she never wanted to let go.

"You make me feel human again," he whispered against her lips. "Even with all this darkness."

Aurora kissed him back, softer this time. "You are more than the system. More than the revenge. I see you, Marcel. The real you."

They stayed like that for a while, foreheads touching, breathing each other in. The intimacy felt real and raw after everything he had lost.

---

But the system did not let him rest long. A bright panel flashed in his vision.

[REVENGE PROTOCOL ACTIVE]

Debt collectors identified. Black Crown connections confirmed. Proceed for major rewards.

Marcel pulled back slightly from Aurora. "They are reminding me. The ones who hurt Lily. I cannot forget them."

Aurora nodded, staying close. "What is your plan?"

Marcel paced a few steps, mind racing. "First I find every single one of those debt collectors. The ones who broke her legs. I want them scared before I finish them. Buy their bosses. Take their homes. Make them beg the same way they made Lily scream."

He sat down and started listing things out loud. "We trace the money behind them. The system can help with that. Then we hit hard. No mercy. They thought they could break my family and walk away. I will show them what real fear feels like."

Aurora watched him with steady eyes. "The system will multiply everything if you stay ruthless. But remember, I am here with you. Not just as your queen. As your partner."

Marcel looked at her, emotion thick in his throat. "I know. That kiss reminded me why I am fighting. Not just for revenge. For Lily. For a life where no one can hurt us again."

He stood up and walked back to the window. The city lights looked different now. Like targets instead of dreams. "Those collectors are just the start. The Black Crown people who put the chip in her. They watched me jump. They wanted this system to turn me into a monster. Fine. I will become one. But on my terms."

Marcus knocked and entered the room, looking between them. "Everything okay? I heard you talking about plans."

Marcel turned to his friend. "We are going after the debt collectors next. The ones who touched Lily. You in?"

Marcus swallowed. "I am with you, bro. But this sounds heavy. You sure about the path?"

"I am sure," Marcel said, voice firm but carrying the pain of the past days. "They took everything from me. Now I take everything from them. Starting tomorrow."

Aurora touched his hand again. "We do it together."

Marcel nodded. The humiliation of Olivia felt good but empty compared to what came next. His sister safe in the hospital. Aurora by his side. The system pushing him forward. For the first time since the jump, he felt purpose burning hotter than the hurt.

"Get some rest," he told them both. "Tomorrow the real work begins. Those collectors will wish they never heard my name."

The night felt charged. Marcel lay awake later thinking about Lily's screams in that video. Olivia's shocked face at the gala. The impossible money in his accounts. Everything had flipped. And he was ready to keep flipping it until the people who broke him paid in full.

The hospital penthouse suite felt more like a luxury hotel than a medical wing. Lily lay propped up in the big bed, smiling weakly as she looked around. "This place looks like a hotel for rich ghosts. Marcel, did you rob a bank or something? I feel like I should tip the nurses in diamonds." Marcus laughed from the couch, stuffing his face with fancy snacks. "These chocolates are better than anything I ever stole from the restaurant kitchen. Hey nurse, can I get some more of this imported water?" The nurse handed him a glass with a flat stare. "It is tap water, sir." Marcus took a big sip and coughed it out immediately. "Tastes like money though. I am telling you, I belong here now." Lily giggled softly. "Marcus, you still look like you deliver pizzas. Stop trying to act rich." The pins are perfectly placed. Bones are realigned. With proper rehabilitation she will walk again. No limp. No lasting damage. She is one tough young woman."Marcel let out a long breath but his face stayed cold and hard. No smile. No celebration. "Good. Who did this to her? I need names. Details. Anything."The doctor exchanged a quick look with his colleague before handing over a small plastic bag. "We removed this tracking chip from her body during the procedure. It had a strange symbol engraved on it. A black crown with seven serpents twisting around it. Never seen anything like it before. This was no random attack, Mr. Kane."Marcel took the bag and stared at the chip. The symbol looked evil. Deliberate. "Black Crown and Seven Serpents. They wanted her crippled forever. They will regr

The tracking chip news hit Marcel like a punch to the stomach. He stood frozen in the hospital hallway, phone still pressed to his ear. "A chip inside her? This was never about some fake debt. It will strengthen you." A bright panel glowed in Marcel's vision. [Special Mission Update: Target nearby. Act now for full reward.] Marcel shook his head. The system rewards revenge. It will give you more power to protect Lily and destroy whoever did this. Trust it. Trust me. She is just down the street at that boutique. Let us go." "The Aurora Vale?"An older doctor rushing past froze mid-step. "Miss Vale? What brings you here? Do you need medical attention? We'll clear the best room right now."Aurora smiled calmly and shook her head. "Not for me, doctor. This is Marcel Kane. His sister Lily is a patient here. We need the best care possible and we need it now."The doctor blinked rapidly, adjusting his glasses. "Of course, of course. But her case requires highly specialized hands. Multiple shattered bones, complex reconstruction. Our team is good but we might need to call in experts from out of state. This could take time to arrange."Anot
