“Hey, Desmond. Don’t forget the one crucial thing. In this zero-DP condition, if you touch Amel before intimacy, primitive lust will paralyze you. She will tear you apart if she is a feral anomaly. You need to be smart, Edi, or your corpse will end up in the dumpster again.”

That threat, somehow, felt more painful to Edi than the threat of dying from blood loss. Torn apart by a feral anomaly?

He squeezed the phone in his hand, staring at the countdown clock in his mind: 47 hours.

‘I have to survive. For Sella.’

The taxi stopped. Edi looked around. Gleaming skyscrapers and neatly manicured gardens. He was now in the heart of luxury, and his target was Amel. He took a deep breath and immediately transformed back. The form of Desmond reappeared. The hunt had begun.

“Where is she?” Edi whispered to Sabrun.

“She just entered The Obsidian Club. She’s lonely, and ready to be seduced. Go. But there’s one more thing you need to know, Desmond.”

“What?” Edi asked tensely.

“When the Incubus is active, it’s not just about sex. It’s an exchange of energy and allegiance. The anomaly you satisfy will be bound to you as a Partner. That is your greatest reward—a powerful Demon Harem. If you fail to satisfy her, she can reject the binding, and you will lose all the DP you were supposed to gain.”

“Satisfy a woman? What do you think I am? I don’t even know how to kiss!” Edi shouted, shocked.

Sabrun’s hoarse laugh echoed in Edi’s mind. “Your job now is to learn, Incubus. And your lessons are going to be scorching.”

Edi focused his mind on the tall building in the distance—The Obsidian Tower. A surge of energy hissed at his feet. He began to run. This was no ordinary run, however. Every step felt light, fast, and silent. In an instant, the street behind him had become a blur.

Edi ran tirelessly for several minutes, realizing how fantastic his speed was. There was no more tightness in his chest or pain in his joints.

Suddenly, another emergency alarm blared in Edi’s mind, louder than Sabrun.

“WARNING! Time is running out too fast. Use of power without DP is causing acceleration of Incubus Rage!”

The status window flashed bright red.

*[DP STATUS: 5% (Critical)]*

*[Incubus Rage Timer: 30 Hours, 03 Minutes.]*

Edi stopped abruptly behind an alley. This new power was also consuming energy with insatiable hunger.

‘Damn it! Why is the time decreasing so drastically?’ Edi panted, even though his body showed no fatigue.

“I told you, you’re using fuel. Every use of power burns through the initial DP Aurora gave us. We can’t spend these 30 hours dawdling, Desmond. We have to find her. Now!” Sabrun urged, his voice now filled with panic.

Right then, that feeling of thirst transformed into a burning ache. Pure sexual desire surged from the Incubus core and spread to every nerve ending Edi possessed. It was a vicious, primal, uncompromising need. It felt like cold fire in his groin and head.

Edi gripped his head, trying to suppress the sudden urge to turn around and aggressively seduce every woman crossing the street, no matter what the consequences.

‘I have to move fast!’ Edi thought.

Edi forced himself to keep running. Ten minutes later, he arrived at the Obsidian Tower, a luxurious skyscraper soaring high, illuminated by the city’s neon lights.

As Edi walked toward the hotel entrance, the Desmond persona he wore, the Incubus, sensed something different. A powerful magnetic pull emanated from the lobby, a hidden sensual aura. That was Amel. The Anomaly aura he was seeking.

Just as Edi stepped inside, the system provided an update. Edi’s eyes glanced at the DP status. The clock was ticking mercilessly.

*[Incubus Rage Timer: 29 Hours, 58 Minutes.]*

Edi stepped onto the marble lobby floor, feigning calm. He asked a receptionist for the location of the restrooms, and she immediately blushed upon seeing him. This was the effect of his 15% Demon Charm.

In the corner of the lobby, a woman was sitting alone, drinking an expensive cocktail in the lounge. She was mature, elegant, and looked slightly lonely. Her luxurious attire indicated the socialite status the system had mentioned.

The moment Edi and the woman’s eyes met—an intense fraction of a second—the system window instantly displayed information about her.

*[Target: Amel. Kraken Anomaly. High DP Potential (Estimated: 50 DP per full session)]*

The woman grinned thinly, glancing up and down at the Desmond figure Edi now wore. She rose and walked, graceful and tempting. Edi’s heart pounded, not from fear, but from a mixture of lust and urgency. She must have thought he was a high-class gigolo, exactly as noted in the initial information Edi had received from Aurora.

The woman continued past the elevators toward a secluded hallway. A public restroom was located there.

As Edi caught up to her, the system issued one final, highly dramatic warning.

“[Urgent Mission! Acquire Desire Points (DP) now!]”

The woman leaned against the wall outside the quiet restroom, a tempting smile radiating from her thick lips. ‘Is this what she wants? Does she think I’m selling myself?’ Edi thought.

“I’ve been waiting for someone like you,” she whispered, her voice heavy and mature. “You look expensive, kid. What’s your price for the night?”

The Incubus desire within Edi burned. This was no longer about money or a job, but about survival. Amel offered his salvation. Edi had to act immediately.

‘Here it is, Desmond. Your first encounter,’ Edi thought. ‘Or I die within hours.’

“Price?” Edi asked, allowing Desmond’s demonic smile to form. Desmond’s voice, now his voice, was deeper and more alluring. “For a woman like you, I’m free. But you must pay with all your desire. Tonight, I will take everything you have.”

The woman chuckled, a sound containing worldly exhaustion and hidden delight. “I like your style. Follow me, then. I know a more private place—”

Sabrun snapped inside Edi’s head, ‘Desmond, we are running out of time! Don’t change locations! We don’t have time to move to a hotel room!’

Edi’s desire peaked. If he waited any longer, he would lose control. The pain of suppressing the Incubus Rage was too intense.

“I apologize, but I can’t wait any longer, Miss Amel,” Edi said. He grabbed her hand with a strong grip, Amel’s eyes widening in shock, mixed with escalating desire.

“We do it now. Here.” Edi pulled her into the quiet, luxurious restroom stall. There was no hesitation, only need driving his every action.

Amel didn't resist. She grinned, her desire matching Edi's ferocity.

“Alright, little Demon,” she gasped. “Show me why I should choose you.”

Edi slammed the stall door shut, trapping them both in the tight space filled with marble tiles and suffocating passion. He kissed her roughly, stripping Amel of control. As he pulled her expensive gown upward, his hand felt a protrusion on Amel's stomach—something hard and twitching beneath her luxurious clothing. This was the Kraken Anomaly.

In his desperate need for survival, Edi didn't care. He had become Desmond. And Amel was his first partner.

“[REMAINING TIMER: 29 Hours, 55 Minutes.]”

Time did not wait.

Desmond stepped over the twisted metal remains of the Godslayer, his boots crunching on the shattered glass. Ahead of him, the partition wall leading to the Core Chamber had partially collapsed during the battle, revealing what Helix had been hiding for twenty years.A pillar of blue light. It was a colossal Stasis Tube, towering from floor to ceiling. Inside, suspended in a glowing, viscous Mana fluid, a body floated weightlessly.Desmond stopped. The distance was only five meters, but his legs felt heavy, as if pulled by the gravity of Jupiter."So this is where you’ve been hiding," Desmond whispered. His voice was hoarse, filled with an emotion he couldn't name.He walked closer until his face was reflected in the thick, cold glass of the tube.Behind that glass, his Father slept. He wore a tight white interface suit that clung to him like a second skin. Hundreds of fiber-optic cables and IV lines were embedded in his back, neck, and chest, connecting him to the machinery of Neo-Ed

It buzzed with hundreds of Attack Drones swarming like angry bees, guarding the only access to Valerius's Penthouse."Flies need swatting," Desmond muttered. "So, let me get this straight. I traveled across time, fought tigers, ate an angel, and fell into a dumpster... just to find out that my Father isn't a supervillain, but a giant Duracell battery?"Desmond stared at the blue hologram floating above the bunker's strategy table. It displayed the structure of the Helix Tower, with a pulsing red dot at its base: The Core."Not just a battery," Yoana corrected. She had swapped her stiff office suit for a tactical combat bodysuit provided by Nova. "He is a Filter. Without him processing the dirty Mana from the earth into clean energy, Valerius would have no power. But now..."Yoana swiped her hand. The hologram turned a warning red."...Valerius is bored of being a CEO. He wants to be God.""A Digital God," Nova added, typing furiously on her virtual keyboard. "Dammit! She's locked tight! I can't get in!"Nova slammed her mechanical hand onto the metal table. In the cramped, dimly lit interrogation room of the Undergrid bunker, Yoana sat on a steel chair with perfect posture. Her hands were cuffed to the table, but her face was as calm as a frozen pond."Military-grade Black-ICE firewall," Nova growled in frustration, yanking the data cable from the port in her own neck. "Valerius installed a suicide encryption in his secretary's brain. If I force a hack, her brain will melt.""Melting sounds counterproductive," Desmond commented, leaning against the door with his arms crossed. He stared at Yoana. "What do you think, Miss? Want your brain turned into porridge?"Yoana turned her head slowly. Her eyes, usually streaming with data, were now empty."I do not possess the authority to provide Central Tower access codes," Yoana answered in a monotone voice. "Confidentiality Protocol 99.
