006. Prince Yatara's personal bodyguard

The tall young man stepped out of his hut with his sword on it. He stood in the courtyard of the house with a harden of his jaw for a moment, then looked at the surroundings where there were rows of huts where he lived and also the people in the village.

"Edgar,"

The young man named Edgar suddenly turned his head quietly, looking at his mother who was now walking up to him by pushing plastic filled with boiled sweet potatoes.

"You should be able to find the prince, because it's your responsibility." Said the woman smiling softly, looking up at her tall son.

Edgar just nodded as he put the sweet potatoes in the sling bag made of used cloth. The young man, too, said goodbye away with a faint smile at the mother who escorted him with a teary look.

Edgar was the personal bodyguard of the royal crown prince––Yatara. However, because something happened. He was suspended from office because Prince Yatara had betrayed the kingdom.

To be honest, Edgar didn't believe in that at all. Because a year ago, Prince Yatara always tried to guard the kingdom with his own efforts. Although some members of the kingdom consisting of his uncles the prince did not believe that.

They blamed the prince for what had already befallen the king. It was the king's disease that was not cured that made everyone wonder. Some healers also resigned because they were not able to take care of the king's illness.

Edgar stopped his footsteps, looking at the surroundings. The young man raised a high eyebrow, feeling that someone was following.

He, too, pulled out his sword. His gaze turned sharply, with the tails of the moving eyes sweeping all corners in the middle of the forest.

The nimble movement of someone darting forward made Edgar immediately throw his sword, slashing at someone who was now holding his attack with his fingertips.

Edgar hardened his jaw, his body and also the sword in his grasp could not move. His body seemed to freeze because of the actions of the figure who was now withdrawing, making Edgar's sword slowly fall on the litter.

"Virga?"

The figure who was none other than Virga smiled for a moment. Then looked at Edgar straight. "Where are you going?" Edgar's eyebrows interlocked at the question of the young man who was still related by blood to the Yatara prince.

"You want to find the prince?"

Edgar didn't answer, just hardened his jaw by staring at Virga unfriendly. "It's none of your business," the young man retorted about to hurry, but his steps came to a halt as Virga was now standing in his way with a sword.

"You know, now Yatara is a betrayer. If you're desperate to be a follower of him... you'll get punished. No, just you... but your whole family." It was obviously the young man wearing a maroon robe.

Edgar smiled crookedly at that, staring intently at the few troops brought by Virga now slowly docked and swarmed him.

"Prince Yatara is not a betrayer, because you know for yourself who the real betrayer is." Edgar said coldly, "one who does everything in order to get the throne in the kingdom is a betrayer." Continued the long-haired figure by pulling out his sword.

"Your ambition and spirit now, will not be able to save both your parents and younger siblings." Virga reiterated his remarks, "if you follow rebels and betrayers ... you will be sentenced to death. You know, yourself, right?"

Edgar just smiled, not responding to Virga's deliberately threatening talk.

"Do whatever you want to do, because I... will never submit to someone like you." Edgar said firmly as a strong gust of wind towards him made his long hair move with the direction of the wind.

It was not only Edgar who was shocked by the gust of wind, but Virga and also his troops.

Moreover, the leaves of the tree are moving strongly, there is also the sound of bells coming from nowhere.

Edgar squinted, feeling that he was catching the shadow of someone behind a tree. However, a few moments later the shadow shot out without a trace.

Virga raised an eyebrow at the sight of Edgar who instead ignored his warnings and threats. The young man instead focused in the other direction, as if something was more threatening than the existence of Virga and his army.

"I will forgive your deeds if you become my follower now. Because the king's state is very concerning at the moment, there is no candidate more worthy of being king than me." Virga said confidently with a smile looking at Edgar who was now returning his gaze sharply.

"Until then, you won't be able to be king. Because the one who has the right to be the heir is the crown prince... Prince Yatara, it is not you who is a betrayer." Edgar retorted coldly, clutching the hilt of his sword.

Virga just smiled then nodded her head quietly, "alright, if that's what you want. Continue to be a follower of Yatara, you will feel a suffering that you have never felt before." Virga said ending her chatter, closing his eyes for a moment by wagging his cloak which instantly made his disappear in the middle of that forest.

Edgar hardened his jaw, completely unfamiliar with the way of a Virga's mind. Even though so far King Samuel has treated him as his own son. Apart from the fact that Virga is the son of his younger brother, it is also because Virga has lost both of his parents since childhood. Therefore, Virga lived in court with King Samuel and family.

Instead of repaying all the merits and favors of the king during this time. Virga instead wants to usurp the throne that should belong to Yatara.

His greed for the throne disturbed Virga's common sense, to the point of slandering prince Yatara as a betrayer.

Brainwashing the members of the kingdom, the troops and the people of Eternal Ice. Spreading the issue of Prince Yatara who has made King Samuel fall ill because of his strength which is inversely proportional to the strength of the Eternal ice nation.

Yatara was born to have a pair of fireballs, making the king, queen and everyone anxious about it. They assumed the birth of Yatara as a curse for the Eternal Ice nation. For a long time King Samuel tried to cover up about the reality of the eyeballs possessed by Yatara.

However, some members of the kingdom who intended to betray the king instead slowly spread the matter. From then on, Yatara was hated by everyone in his own kingdom.

Only Edgar, the only person he could trust.

Edgar, too, began to advance attacking the dozens of troops in front of him who now had their eyeballs blackened in the dark with the temperature of the air around them increasing cold. The leaves on the top of the tree froze, their breath until it was steamy rose merged with the cold air around.

"You will have the same fate as Prince Yatara if you continue to rebel," said one of the troops making Edgar smile obliquely.

"And you will also become rubbish if you continue to obey Virga's orders." Edgar retorted immediately evading as one of the royal armies advanced on his attack.

The young man shot nimbly, brandishing his sword and slashing at every advancing army attacking him. No one could avoid the figure's sharp and long sword. If you are determined to get rid of everything in front of him, then it can happen. Edgar could turn something impossible into a possibility.

No need to wait long, the silver-haired young man can finish everything off in a short time.

Edgar turned his head to the side, looking at his sword eyes that now had traces of the blood of the troops sprawled stiffly on the frozen litter. He again put the sword in the scabbard of his sword. He was about to step away from where he stood, but his eyebrows were raised high as he felt a fairly strong tremor that almost made him fall flat, if not immediately balancing his body.

The young man sharpened his eyes, feeling sure that soon there would be a big thing happening in Eternal Ice. A shocking incident, which he had never imagined before.
