Chapter 12
Author: Oldwell
The name sounded familiar to the guard. He glanced at him and told him to wait before turning toward the suite to report.

“Watch the cavalry sent across the vast lands. I’m in the eye of the storm with…” Anthony stood in the middle, singing his lungs out. He liked the song “Five Hundred More Years;” he found it majestic. He frowned when the guard entered. “What’s the matter?”

Anthony hated people walking around while he was singing.

The guard bent down and whispered, “Mr. Mark, someone named Remus Cosby is looking for you.”

Remus Cosby? Him again?

Anthony’s expression changed as he thought, “Is this how Bald Richard takes care of things? I ordered him to cripple Remus, yet he’s at my door, looking for me?”

“Tell him to leave. Tell him I’m not here!” Anthony said irritably.

It would’ve all been fine if his subordinates had paralyzed Remus. However, if he did it and Remus reported it to the Temple Lord, it would attract unnecessary trouble.

“Understood.” The guard turned and saw the door opening. Remus had come in. The guard scolded, “I told you to wait outside. Who said you could come in?”

Remus ignored him and stared at Anthony instead. “Don’t want to see me? Asked someone to cripple me, did you?”

Anthony’s expression soured. He looked at Remus’ disposition, thinking, “How dare a brat who was only imprisoned for three years give me that kind of attitude? Many of my subordinates are felons who were imprisoned for more than ten years! How could he be so bold!”

Then, he waved, not asking his guard to attack. Instead, he said, “What is it? Spit it out. I’m busy!”

Remus remained calm. “I’ve asked the question, and I don’t want to repeat it again. Answer me now. I’m in a hurry too.”

“What did you just say?” Anthony instantly became furious. Even the temperature in the suite dropped. He yelled, “You little brat. I looked after you because you were washing the toilet of Temple Lord. If it weren’t for him, you wouldn’t even have the right to see me! You’re ungrateful for my kindness and even have the balls to push my buttons. Do you take me for a patient man? Hmm?”

A nobody like this was only worthy of being his subordinates’ minion. Who gave him the courage to come to his door?

Suddenly, Remus felt enlightened. In the past, he saw Anthony as an important figure and was inclined to fawn over him, so he obliged. Later, he heard some fake news and decided against it.

He didn’t bother to explain since he was rushing to another city after breaking off the engagement with Jean Lotus tonight. After that, they would have no more contact.

“Your performance yesterday was not bad. I’ll forgive you this time. We’re even.” He turned to leave after saying that.

“Stop right there!” Anthony was outraged. As the Underground King, he had never been treated with such contempt. Moreover, Remus was nothing but a lucky nobody who met the Temple Lord.

He angrily continued, “You bastard, my patience for you is at its limit. I’ll give you one last chance for the sake of the Temple Lord. Kneel, grovel at my feet, and leave my sight forever! Also, if you dare complain to the Temple Lord, I’ll grind your bones and scatter your ashes!”

Anthony would never feel at ease if he did not teach him a lesson.

Remus turned, having still not learned his lesson, and sneered. “What if I refuse to kneel?”

“Refuse to kneel?” Anthony squinted. “Then I’ll kill you!”

Just as he finished speaking, Remus rushed him. Efficiently, Remus kicked him, causing him to slam into the wall three feet away.

Before Anthony could even slide down the wall, Remus had reached out and grabbed his neck singlehandedly, pinning him to the wall.

Remus asked, “Trying to kill me?”

Everything happened so fast that no one could react.

Anthony was in shock. At that moment, he could not even process that he was being choked and that his legs were off the ground. He had never been this nervous as he stared at Remus in horror.

Only the Temple Lord gave off this kind of oppressive energy. No, even the Temple Lord was never this oppressive! Who was this man really?

The guard was also dumbfounded, and his legs went weak. He did not stop Remus and rushed out the door to press a secret button.

“Ring ring ring… “ The moment the button was pressed, all the eight karaoke places, 12 nightclubs, and 14 clubhouses in Neptuna would be alerted. Then, 26 leaders of the sects would immediately bring hundreds of armed subordinates to the Draculus Court.

In the main hall on the first floor, Kylie Cox looked happy as she had just exchanged numbers with Ben Stuart. He even asked her out on another date. If everything went right, it would help boost the Coxs’ business.

“I heard the Stuarts’ Sky Group will be partnering with Miss Lotus’. If he becomes her business partner and I become his friend…” The more Kylie thought about it, the happier she was. She had a feeling that better days were coming.

Suddenly, she heard the alarm and was startled. Only then did she realize she had brought Remus to find the Dragon Head. What was the meaning of this alarm?

Then, she heard brakes screeching outside and looked outside. A row of cars had stopped, and a group of ferocious-looking men rushed upstairs with weapons.

“Did Remus cause this?” Kylie was shocked at the thought of this and left the place. The moment she walked out, she saw a scene she would never forget in her life.

In just a blink of an eye, the cars stopped at the entrance. Then, all the car doors opened at the same time. Hundreds of armed men rushed into Draculus Court.

But that was not the end. There were still countless cars on the road, with their headlights high, rushing toward this direction.

Kylie immediately ran and hid among the crowd.

“I heard the Dragon Head’s alarm ringing. The last time it rang was ten years ago!”

“Could it be that he’s back?”

Hearing the crowds’ murmured discussion, Kylie nervously asked, “Excuse me, what does it mean if the alarm rings?”

Likely because these people felt that Kylie was good-looking, they told her seriously. “I was part of the sect in the past, so I know some insider intel. When the alarm rings, it means the enemy has entered the Draculus Court karaoke place, and Dragon Head’s life is threatened. When they hear the alarm, all the subordinates of the sects will come to fight. As you saw, at least a few thousand people came! If I’m not mistaken, he has returned!”

His life was being threatened?!

Kylie’s face turned pale after hearing this. Could Remus have threatened the Dragon Head’s life? Was he out of his mind?

The person who was speaking wanted to flash his charisma and seduce Kylie, so he continued, “Ten years ago…”

However, Kylie was not interested in listening. Instead, she was in a panic, thinking if Remus would survive. Then, she thought of looking for Ben.

Inside the suite, Remus had let go of Anthony. Initially, he wanted to kill him, but he thought about what his Master had said. Killing will reduce his virtue and his own luck. Therefore, he decided to let Anthony go.

Remus calmly said, “You can be exempted from death, but you won’t escape punishment!”

After that, he kicked Anthony out of the door as if he was a rubber ball.

Right then, the leaders of the 26 sects rushed to the corridor. They shouted anxiously, “Dragon Head!”

At this point, it was only a matter of time before the remaining deities were massacred. If no one could hold back Dawson and Candace, they would soon advance on the three deputies. In that case, a three-on-three battle would definitely be hopeless for them, and they might even be defeated in seconds. Therefore, before Dawson and Candace could turn their attention to them, they had to get rid of Roman first. It was the only way they might have a chance at survival.Previously, they didn't want to summon their avatars because they were reserved as a last resort. As long as their avatars existed, there remained the possibility of resurrection.Take the deputies who had been killed earlier, for example—although their physical forms had dissipated, with time, they could potentially form a new body. That was what it meant to be at the Emperor Stage—eternal and indestructible. But at this point, they had no choice but to summon their avatars because Darsia still had Francis and the oth

Candace wasn't wrong. It was only through actual combat that you could truly gauge someone else's strength. These deities were theoretically at the stage of a Celestial Immortal in Darsia, meaning they should be on par with a Celestial Immortal. However, after actually trading blows with them, it was clear that their strength was significantly inferior to that of a Celestial Immortal. Their capabilities were more akin to those who had just recently become Celestial Immortals. To be precise, they were more comparable to a Land Immortal.Candace released another wave of demon energy, which caused the deities tainted by it to fall from the sky in large numbers. It was like flies in the Mortal Realm encountering poison. It wasn't even a matter of lacking the strength to fight back—the difference in power was simply too great. Candace was naturally dominating the battlefield.Candace aside, the other demons were also capable of taking on two or three opponents at a time without being a

This time, the remaining four deputies were prepared, but they could only defend themselves. The pressure brought by Roman was immense. They couldn't understand why Roman was only one stage above them. But they then also remembered that Roman was no longer at his peak and didn't have an avatar. At best, he should be equal to them in strength. How could he single-handedly overpower the four of them? That made no sense!Dawson had struck the deputy on the far right, who was forced to stagger backward, feeling the turmoil within his body. If he hadn't been on guard, he would have met the same fate as the other deputy. He was terrified and wanted to flee, but Dawson wouldn't give him the chance to. Once Dawson made his move, he showed no hesitation, charging at him.Roman single-handedly subdued the other deputies, while Dawson relentlessly pursued the last one. This deputy kept retreating, realizing that if things continued this way, they were mere sitting ducks. He quickly shouted,

Without any hesitation, Roman released his energy rapidly, rushing toward the border to face the deities head-on.Faced with the sudden attack, the deities were visibly taken aback. While they had worries, their concerns were primarily about whether they could safely retreat, not about the potential of a fight breaking out. In fact, it had never crossed their minds that Roman would make the first move.Yet now, Roman dared to charge at them by himself. Was he not afraid to die?But Dawson's reaction was different. As Roman set off, Dawson also released his energy and moved toward the border, focusing intently on the hundreds of deities ahead. His eyes was filled with fierce determination and the willingness to face death head-on.In fact, this was a strategy that had been planned ahead of time.Given the situation had reached this point, there was no way to avoid it. Amez wouldn't let Darsia go, and certainly not Halvor. Therefore, knowing Halvor's personality, he would have no ch

Under everyone's gaze, a figure emerged behind Dawson, towering and imposing. Dressed in an imperial robe and wearing a crown, his features were stern and commanding. When he spoke, his voice carried an overwhelming power that seemed impossible to resist, and the energy emanating from him was terrifying. It felt as if the weight of the heavens was pressing down on them. The deities couldn't help but wonder who this was. Why did someone this powerful still exist in Darsia?Dawson was the first to snap back to reality. He turned and respectfully said, "Emperor!"Roman gave a small nod and looked forward again. "You insignificant ones, kneel and listen to my words."Emperor? This must be the Underworld Emperor! The deities all showed expressions of fear. Could it be that Dawson wasn't the Underworld Emperor, but one of the ghost kings? How could a ghost king, who was on the same level as them, actually kill Micah? How was that possible? The hundreds of deities at the back were star

The entire place fell silent.Everyone had witnessed the scene, but no one could believe their eyes. Even though Micah had vanished, they thought it must be another trick, convinced there must be something more coming. The same applied to Dawson, who became even more cautious after that, worried that Micah might suddenly appear out of thin air to deliver a lethal strike. After all, Micah was one of the 12 subordinates under Halvor, a position equivalent to that of an immortal emperor or ghost king. Furthermore, Micah hadn't been through a grueling battle and was still in peak condition. On the other hand, first of all, Dawson no longer had his avatar and was thus no longer invincible. Secondly, his energy hadn't fully returned to its peak, and it was at about 80 to 90 percent right now.In such a situation, it was impossible that he could kill Micah with a single strike. So, Micah must have a trick up his sleeve.Everyone watched and waited. In the blink of an eye, 15 minutes ha
