Chapter 11
Author: Oldwell
”Hold up!” Bald Richard called out, then carefully eyed Remus again.

People usually cowered at the sound of his name, so this young man really stood out. Bald Richard suspected that he was hiding something. Heck, he even dared to call the Dragon Head by name.

“You know the Dragon Head?” Bald Richard asked tentatively.

“Ask him that yourself,” Remus retorted.

Everyone realized how much of a big shot he was. No wonder he didn’t keep quiet or grovel before Bald Richard. Even the guy that was going to beat Remus up started to fear for his own safety.

Kylie frowned. Did Remus really know the Dragon Head?

Just then, Bald Richard’s phone call went through. His demeanor immediately turned sheepish as he asked, “Dragon Head, sir, are you busy right now?”

“Get to the point!” Anthony snapped. He was angry because he had just been informed of Remus Cosby’s true identity. Apparently, he wasn’t a highly-respected person; he was just some guy who had scrubbed the Temple Lord’s toilet!

Yes, his Temple Lord had told him to treat Remus right, but Anthony felt like he had disgraced himself by becoming the guy’s personal driver. He had even put the airport on standby for him! As the Dragon Head, he couldn’t behave that way!

“Alright, sir.” Bald Richard nodded vigorously. “There’s a guy here called Remus Cosby. He says you know him. Do you, sir?”

Kylie’s heartbeat sped up as she waited for an answer. If Remus really did know the Dragon Head, business would go much easier for her.

“Who? Remus?” Anthony bristled the moment he heard that name. “I don’t know which shithole he’s from, so no. Why? Is he there with you?”

Bald Richard lowered his voice. “Ben Stuart from the Stuart family ordered me to cripple him.”

Anthony thought things through momentarily. He could just pretend he didn’t know what was going on. If anything, an apology to his Temple Lord would suffice. Remus was just some cheap lackey after all, so Anthony wouldn’t get in too much trouble.

“Do it then,” Anthony grunted before hanging up the call.

After receiving confirmation, Bald Richard immediately turned to Remus, his eyes glinting with murderous intent. “The Dragon Head has spoken, kid.”

His pause left everyone holding their breath.

“What did he say?” Kylie asked.

“He said…to finish you off!” Bald Richard growled. “I was going to let you off easy at first, kid, but not after that stunt you pulled! You’ll be leaving here in pieces!”

“What?” Kylie gasped. She hadn’t expected this to happen! She should’ve known better than to trust Remus!

Remus blinked in surprise. “Anthony told you to finish me off?”

“Get him!” Bald Richard ordered. “Make sure he’s begging for mercy by the time we’re done with him!”

Just like that, all the lackeys lunged at him with weapons in hand, aiming for his weak points. The onlooking crowd and guests instantly retreated to safety, save for Kylie, who remained frozen with fear.

Much to everyone’s shock, the men soon landed on their asses, yelping in pain. It didn’t look like they were any match for Remus, like those guards from yesterday.

Kylie gaped, wondering how Remus had defeated them so easily when she didn’t even see him raise his fist.

“Anthony Mark actually said that?” Remus asked again, still finding the situation incredulous. Anthony had gotten soaked in the rain yesterday just to serve him. What had changed?

“I see you know a thing or two as well. No wonder you weren’t scared. It’s a pity that you’re fighting me right now!” Bald Richard declared, then swung a fist at Remus.

He had earned his place as sect head with hardcore training and proving himself over the years. He had even won three streets for their sect with nothing but his fists years ago. He became famous for his iron-hard fists. Those unfortunate enough to experience them were either left crippled or dead.

A loud slap landed on Bald Richard’s face.

“When did I give you permission to hit me?” Remus asked.

Bald Richard gaped in shock, fist still raised. He had felt the man slap him on the cheek, yet he hadn’t seen him raise his hand even once.

Another smack rang out.

“C’mon, talk.”

“I…”

He delivered another slap! Bald Richard flew backward while Remus concluded, “Ugh, you talk too slow.”

Bald Richard was left hunched over, spitting out blood and a few teeth.

Remus turned to Kylie. “Bring me to Anthony Mark.”

He didn’t like dragging things out or making a fuss. His master had taught him to always solve the root of the problem, so that’s what he would do.

Draculus Court, Anthony Mark’s flagship business, was one of the most successful entertainment establishments in Neptuna. You needed to have spent at least a million dollars to qualify for the lowest membership tier.

In the Nihil Suite, men and women sat together in silence, creating an atmosphere that did not match the club. In their midst, Ben Stuart was tossing back glass after glass of wine, awaiting Bald Richard’s call.

He had suffered one of the most humiliating moments in his life today. He had become the laughingstock of the equestrian world.

The horse had even…

“Slow down with the drinks, Benny. You’re ruining your liver,” a woman next to him said.

She was immediately met with a hard slap to the face.

“You dare order me around? Do you know who I am and what I can do to you, you whore? Get the fuck out of my sight!” Ben roared, making the woman flinch and tremble in fear.

Just then, his father called.

“Dad?”

“I heard about what happened to you. Come home for now. We need to prepare for the meeting with Ms. Lotus tonight.”

Ben sighed. “Alright.”

He swiftly went downstairs, but before he could reach his car, a Maserati slowed to a stop outside the entrance. The man who stepped out from the vehicle made Ben’s eyes bug out of their sockets.

“Remus Cosby!”

Why were his legs still functioning?!

“Oh. Hey, jackass.” Remus didn’t bother wasting his breath before striding into the club.

Ben’s knuckles were stretched pale. “You asshole.” Yet he couldn't try to fight Remus. He’d experienced the aftermath of that before and didn’t want to go through it again.

Just then, he spotted Kylie Cox getting out of the car too. His demeanor changed instantly, and he walked up to her with a polite smile.

“Hello there, miss. Are you one of Mr. Cosby’s friends? My name’s Ben, Skylar Stuart’s son and MD of Sky Group. I’d love to get to know you better.”

This card up his sleeve had always worked in the past.

Kylie gazed at him in awe. “Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Stuart. I’m Kylie Cox from Cox Corp.”

It looked like it was going to work once again.

Remus made his way up to one of the higher-class suites, where two guards stood outside. If he guessed correctly, Anthony Mark should be right inside.

Just as he took another step, one guard said, “Stop right there. Name?”

“Remus Cosby.”

After more than ten seconds, Bradley still couldn't make up his mind. For a warrior, death was preferable to dishonor.Plus, Vernon wasn't the only one there—there were thousands of soldiers on the deck, as well as a million more soldiers on the surrounding warships. Furthermore, if news of this reached Amelicon, millions of citizens would hear of this humiliation. If they found out that Bradley knelt before Vernon, what credibility would he have left? How could he face anyone in the future? Not hearing a response, Vernon slowly turned with a smile, saying, "It seems you've made a decision, Commander. If we are set on the plan to bulldoze Darsia, then go back and prepare. There's no need to waste time here."Bradley's heart skipped a beat. He genuinely wanted to feed Vernon to the fish but knew deep down that if he made a move against him, Bradley wouldn't escape unscathed.Or perhaps there was even a deity watching over Vernon. Maybe Bradley would die before even managing to kill

After Vernon finished speaking, he started laughing secretly. How dare Bradley think he could come here for a compromise? Vernon had blocked all his paths forward completely, ensuring that Bradley would be terrified at the mere sight of him in the future. As expected, upon hearing Vernon's words, Bradley was furious. Vernon was essentially dooming him. If they couldn't easily overcome Darsia, Amez would undoubtedly be infuriated.Everyone had witnessed the consequences of invoking Amez's wrath—Darren, the last president, was killed on the spot, so Amez certainly wouldn't go easy on Bradley. But if he truly went ahead with the plan to flatten Darsia, they didn't have the strength to do so.At this point, his only option was to take a step back. With a smile that looked more like a wince, he slowly said, "Mr. President, the previous situation is not comparable to the current one. When I said that we could easily defeat Darsia, it was at Neskara's base."Now, the battlefield has shi

It suddenly went silent between them. The Celestial Triad found themselves at a loss for words, worried that saying too much might lead to mistakes and give the others an advantage.Amez paused, waiting for them to continue, but none of them did, and the atmosphere felt a bit tense. But this wasn't a bad thing. The more they talked, the more heated the arguments would become, and the gaps between them would widen, which would not be good for the upcoming war. Now, all they needed to do was wait for Amelicon's military to arrive.Amez casually asked, "How much longer will they need?"Skyler replied, "In terms of the Mortal Realm's time, it will take about five more hours."…Meanwhile, on the Amelicon military's side, Vernon stood at the very front of the deck, full of vigor. As they got closer to Darsia, he couldn't contain his excitement. He was about to become the whole world's ruler—no, the second ruler, right behind Amez.As for the other deities, there was no need to pay a

No, Conner must be stopped. The position of Darsia's ruler could be given to someone else, or even Conner, but it needed to be based on a fair competition, where even Gordon and Skyler could be convinced. How could they let Conner claim victory when the war hadn't even started? This was unfair to them, and they couldn't allow him to succeed."I don't think it's a good idea!" Skyler quickly stepped forward and interjected. "Everything has two sides. While sending out these minor deities can test the enemies' strength, we must also consider the consequences."The most important point is that they are definitely no match for the Underworld Emperor and the Celestial Sovereign. If they engage in battle and end up being slaughtered, it would severely impact morale and affect our overall strategy."Gordon also quickly agreed, "That's right, Mr. Murray. Just a moment ago, you were also considering whether Darsia has any tricks up its sleeves."But even without considering that, our milita

As soon as Skyler said this, Gordon and Conner were stunned. They were still debating whether they should keep arguing with Amez, yet Skyler had already evolved to the point where he could suck up to him. How shameful!Meanwhile, Skyler understood what they were thinking from their expressions, but he didn't care at all. Whether their opinions mattered to him wasn't the point. The crucial thing was that as long as Amez was happy, Skyler could rule Darsia.Being on good terms with Gordon and Conner was temporary, but becoming Darsia's new ruler would be everlasting. If he truly became Darsia's ruler, their opinions wouldn't matter at all.At that time, Gordon and Conner would be barely surviving under Amez's rule, while Skyler would have already become a whole country's ruler. In the Three Realms, the most important thing was to ensure they had a firm grasp on power. That being said, even if Skyler hadn't said anything, would the other two think more highly of him? Clearly not. They

The Celestial Triad was once again baffled. Honestly speaking, the shock Amez gave them since arriving at Darsia's border was greater than any they'd experienced since knowing him. What on earth was he talking about? Or could it be that Amez had always been like this? Why had they never noticed it before?Noticing their reactions, Amez asked, "Do you have any objections?"The three exchanged glances once more, silent. It wasn't that they didn't have objections—instead, they had too many of them, and they didn't know where to start.First of all, Amez not only wouldn't allow the three of them to make a move—he didn't even want to deploy Talonia's deities. But they hesitated to say it earlier because, in order to take over Darsia in the near future, they had to play it low-key for now.In reality, they should be taking matters into their own hands instead. Only by doing that could they truly assess the enemy's real capabilities—no one else should be allowed to do it.No, first and
