Chapter13
Author: Oldwell
Anthony curled up and retched. He was a mess, vomiting gastric juice all over the floor. Still, the sect leaders circled around him.

“Dragon Head, how are you feeling?”

“Take him to the back!”

“Let’s fight for the Dragon Head. Kill that bastard!”

Behind all the sect leaders were at least hundreds of their subordinates. Hearing the command, all of them raised their weapons simultaneously. They stared at the door, ready to attack at any time.

Remus walked out calmly. When he saw the scene in the corridor, he smiled, unsurprised. Hearing the footsteps, he knew there would be a group. This must be a small group, and he guessed there would be more downstairs.

However, no matter how many ordinary people there were, they meant nothing to Remus. He asked casually, “Single combat? Or a group fight?”

Seeing Remus, everyone was shocked. Who was this guy? No one knew him, nor had they seen him. Everyone thought that a powerful fighter had returned. Instead, a young man appeared. Could it be that person’s underling?

The commander of the sect leaders raised his weapon to psych himself up. Then, he sneered, “Fine. I’ll fight you alone!”

“You’re not worthy,” Remus said concisely. “What I meant by single combat is me defeating all of you. As for group fight, I meant that all of you fight against me at once!”

After Remus finished, the group was outraged. They had never encountered such a shameless person.

“Bastard! You’re seeking death!”

The commander rushed forward alone! Just two steps before reaching Remus, he leaped at him, knives in each hand. One blade was aimed at Remus’s head. This blow could cut him in half!

Remus shook his head and thought, “This is too easy. I should’ve known that the outside world was not as fun as prison. Come to think of it, Underhill Prison was not that bad!”

With a swift kick, the commander was sent upward at great speed. He flew backward and fell heavily onto the group.

The group was gravely struck, and the sect leaders in front vomited blood as the force impacted them. Those behind them backed up, falling over themselves. Everyone lost their footing and fell back like dominos!

In a blink of an eye, no one in the 30-foot-long corridor could stand up.

“Urgh…” At the end of the group, Anthony was about to take the elevator down. Seeing the scene, he breathed in, and he was stunned. All his body's pores seemed to open up, and cold sweat drenched him!

Half of the sect leaders and hundreds of his subordinates were injured with just a kick. Was Remus a monster?

Meanwhile, Remus stepped over bodies as he walked forward, laughing. “Don’t run. You just said you’d do anything to kill me. You can escape now, but can you escape from me forever?”

Anthony peed his pants as he saw Remus walking toward him with a smile. He felt as if the Grim Reaper was near.

As the Underground King, he wouldn’t even frown when a gun was pointed at his forehead. Death was not scary, but desperation was! He had to admit that Remus was too powerful.

Anthony said in fear, “Who… Who are you? You… You can’t kill me. Otherwise, the Temple Lord will not spare you!”

“Who am I?” Remus raised his brow. “In your words, your Temple Lord cleans my toilet. How exactly would he be in a position to spare my life?”

“What?!” Anthony trembled with anger. The Temple Lord was majestic. In this country, he stood atop pyramids. How could Remus disrespect him like that?! He seemed so ordinary, but he turned out to be barbaric.

Without hesitation, Anthony kneeled on the ground. “Mr. Cosby, I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I will be your loyal dog from now on. Woof! Woof!”

All the subordinates in the corridor were shocked to the core as they witnessed this scene.

Suddenly, Remus remembered a guy in prison who was treated like a dog. His name was…Scott Miller. He was around 60 years old. After being a dog for two years, he was given compassionate release. He was not sure if he was still alive.

He shook his head as his thoughts wandered. Then, he looked at Anthony. “I can forgive you, but do you know how to play turtle?”

Since he was the Dragon Head, he would be most suitable for playing turtle. Plus, it had been days since Remus asked someone to play, and he missed playing the game.

“I do!” Anthony immediately lay on the ground with his arms under his legs. Then, he faced the sky with his back to the ground. He looked like an overturned turtle.

Right now, Anthony had utterly lost his nobility as the Dragon Head. He laughed obligingly, “Mr. Cosby, is this acceptable?”

As he spoke, he twisted his body. Remus was much more powerful than the Temple Lord. If he could satisfy him, he would make it very far.

“Not bad,” Remus laughed. “However, you wanted to kill me. I won’t forgive you easily. Come, turtle. Go to the first floor and keep singing. Then, I’ll forgive you!”

Anthony knew well that thousands of his subordinates were below. He would lose all his dignity if he went downstairs in such a state. However, he remembered the fact that the Temple Lord was only Remus’ minion…

“Alright. Mr. Cosby, I’ll satisfy all your needs so you can be happy.”

Then, he shuffled along the floor while singing, “Looking at the calvary….”

Soon, he reached the stairs, then to the first floor. Everyone downstairs was dumbfounded. This was the Underground King of Underhill. Who was Remus to make the Dragon Head obey?

Before a thousand people, Anthony reached the door. “Mr. Cosby, are you satisfied?”

“I’m leaving.” Remus waved, about to depart.

“Mr. Cosby!” Anthony shouted. Then, he laughed, “Next time, please inform me if you need to go somewhere. I wish to be your driver.”

Remus was reminded that he had come in Kylie’s car. He didn’t know where she was right now, so he ordered, “Get the car!”

Immediately, Anthony stood up and followed his command.

No one in the crowd dared make a sound! Amidst the crowd, Kylie made a call. She said with difficulty, “Mr. Stuart, can you save Remus? The Dragon Head has him held captive.”

She couldn’t bear to see Remus die, but she was powerless. At first, she intended to tell Miranda about it, but she could not contact her. Ben, whom she had just met, was the most powerful person she could find at the moment!

Ben was happy to hear that. He knew the Dragon Head wouldn’t touch that brat, so Bald Richard must have attacked.

He cleared his throat and whined, “Why did you have to call me? Hold on. I’ll call Dragon Head now. Don’t worry!”

After he ended the call, he put the phone back in his pocket and slyly smiled. “Why should I care about that bastard’s life? However, I can give you comfort. I would’ve brought you to the hotel and comforted you if I did not need to attend Miss Lotus’ meet-up. Hehe.”

In his daydreaming, a middle-aged man in a suit walked over. It was Ben’s father, the leader of the new rich in Neptuna. He was Skylar Stuart, the president of Sky Group.

Skylar said, “Let’s go. We’re attending Miss Lotus’s meet-up, so you’d better ready yourself. From what I know, Miss Lotus is still unmarried!”

Ben’s eyes lit up. “What do you mean by that?”

After more than ten seconds, Bradley still couldn't make up his mind. For a warrior, death was preferable to dishonor.Plus, Vernon wasn't the only one there—there were thousands of soldiers on the deck, as well as a million more soldiers on the surrounding warships. Furthermore, if news of this reached Amelicon, millions of citizens would hear of this humiliation. If they found out that Bradley knelt before Vernon, what credibility would he have left? How could he face anyone in the future? Not hearing a response, Vernon slowly turned with a smile, saying, "It seems you've made a decision, Commander. If we are set on the plan to bulldoze Darsia, then go back and prepare. There's no need to waste time here."Bradley's heart skipped a beat. He genuinely wanted to feed Vernon to the fish but knew deep down that if he made a move against him, Bradley wouldn't escape unscathed.Or perhaps there was even a deity watching over Vernon. Maybe Bradley would die before even managing to kill

  • Chapter 3136

After Vernon finished speaking, he started laughing secretly. How dare Bradley think he could come here for a compromise? Vernon had blocked all his paths forward completely, ensuring that Bradley would be terrified at the mere sight of him in the future. As expected, upon hearing Vernon's words, Bradley was furious. Vernon was essentially dooming him. If they couldn't easily overcome Darsia, Amez would undoubtedly be infuriated.Everyone had witnessed the consequences of invoking Amez's wrath—Darren, the last president, was killed on the spot, so Amez certainly wouldn't go easy on Bradley. But if he truly went ahead with the plan to flatten Darsia, they didn't have the strength to do so.At this point, his only option was to take a step back. With a smile that looked more like a wince, he slowly said, "Mr. President, the previous situation is not comparable to the current one. When I said that we could easily defeat Darsia, it was at Neskara's base."Now, the battlefield has shi

It suddenly went silent between them. The Celestial Triad found themselves at a loss for words, worried that saying too much might lead to mistakes and give the others an advantage.Amez paused, waiting for them to continue, but none of them did, and the atmosphere felt a bit tense. But this wasn't a bad thing. The more they talked, the more heated the arguments would become, and the gaps between them would widen, which would not be good for the upcoming war. Now, all they needed to do was wait for Amelicon's military to arrive.Amez casually asked, "How much longer will they need?"Skyler replied, "In terms of the Mortal Realm's time, it will take about five more hours."…Meanwhile, on the Amelicon military's side, Vernon stood at the very front of the deck, full of vigor. As they got closer to Darsia, he couldn't contain his excitement. He was about to become the whole world's ruler—no, the second ruler, right behind Amez.As for the other deities, there was no need to pay a

No, Conner must be stopped. The position of Darsia's ruler could be given to someone else, or even Conner, but it needed to be based on a fair competition, where even Gordon and Skyler could be convinced. How could they let Conner claim victory when the war hadn't even started? This was unfair to them, and they couldn't allow him to succeed."I don't think it's a good idea!" Skyler quickly stepped forward and interjected. "Everything has two sides. While sending out these minor deities can test the enemies' strength, we must also consider the consequences."The most important point is that they are definitely no match for the Underworld Emperor and the Celestial Sovereign. If they engage in battle and end up being slaughtered, it would severely impact morale and affect our overall strategy."Gordon also quickly agreed, "That's right, Mr. Murray. Just a moment ago, you were also considering whether Darsia has any tricks up its sleeves."But even without considering that, our milita

As soon as Skyler said this, Gordon and Conner were stunned. They were still debating whether they should keep arguing with Amez, yet Skyler had already evolved to the point where he could suck up to him. How shameful!Meanwhile, Skyler understood what they were thinking from their expressions, but he didn't care at all. Whether their opinions mattered to him wasn't the point. The crucial thing was that as long as Amez was happy, Skyler could rule Darsia.Being on good terms with Gordon and Conner was temporary, but becoming Darsia's new ruler would be everlasting. If he truly became Darsia's ruler, their opinions wouldn't matter at all.At that time, Gordon and Conner would be barely surviving under Amez's rule, while Skyler would have already become a whole country's ruler. In the Three Realms, the most important thing was to ensure they had a firm grasp on power. That being said, even if Skyler hadn't said anything, would the other two think more highly of him? Clearly not. They

The Celestial Triad was once again baffled. Honestly speaking, the shock Amez gave them since arriving at Darsia's border was greater than any they'd experienced since knowing him. What on earth was he talking about? Or could it be that Amez had always been like this? Why had they never noticed it before?Noticing their reactions, Amez asked, "Do you have any objections?"The three exchanged glances once more, silent. It wasn't that they didn't have objections—instead, they had too many of them, and they didn't know where to start.First of all, Amez not only wouldn't allow the three of them to make a move—he didn't even want to deploy Talonia's deities. But they hesitated to say it earlier because, in order to take over Darsia in the near future, they had to play it low-key for now.In reality, they should be taking matters into their own hands instead. Only by doing that could they truly assess the enemy's real capabilities—no one else should be allowed to do it.No, first and
