The little boy under the bench spoke again while sobbing, "Daddy, they're coming soon! Anyway, don't let them take me!"

The tone of the boy's voice was full of hope, "Promise, okay?"

Right at that moment, one of the men in black suits looked at Adrian and communicated with his colleague while pointing toward Adrian. Their gazes were sharp and they approached Adrian with quick steps.

As if without thinking, Adrian answered, "Yes, just relax. I'll deal with them."

The two men in black suits stopped right in front of Adrian with tense and alert postures. Their eyes immediately caught the small figure crouching under the bench.

One of them spoke gently, "Young Master, we finally found you."

They crouched down and spoke again, "Let's go home, don't make the madam worry."

The boy under the bench gripped Adrian's leg tightly. "Daddy, I don't know them. You have to chase them away or they'll force me!"

Adrian asked politely, "Who are you? Why are you chasing him?"

The man answered firmly, "We are the Harvey family's security guards, and we are here to pick up young master Ansel."

The boy under the bench shook Adrian's leg again. "They're lying, Daddy! I don't know them!"

Adrian didn't immediately believe either party. His sharp eyes observed every movement of the two men. They looked trained and professional.

After brief consideration, Adrian asked for proof. "What's your evidence that you were sent by his family? And if you really are his guards, why is this boy so frightened like this?"

The large-bodied man with a scar on his chin reached into his pocket and pulled out an ID card with the logo of the letter H and a golden shield, which was the Harvey family emblem. Below it was his photo and personal data.

"This is my ID card. We are part of the Harvey family's official security team."

The second, thinner man added while showing a photo on his phone, "This is a photo of Young Master Ansel. See for yourself, his face is exactly the same as the child hiding under you."

Adrian glanced at the photo. It was true, the boy in the photo was identical to the boy now gripping his leg. But something bothered Adrian's heart. This boy's fear was too real for just a child who didn't want to go home.

The boy under the bench cried, "Daddy, make them go away! They're mean!"

The two men sighed and crouched down again while trying to reach for the boy. "Young master, enough of the hide and seek. The madam is very worried."

The boy screamed hysterically, "No!!!"

Before the man's hand touched Ansal, Adrian had already moved. Quickly, he swatted away the man's arm. "Wait."

The two guards looked at him with narrowed eyes, their patience beginning to wear thin. "This is an internal family matter. Don't butt in!"

From his seat, Adrian shot back sharply, "If you're really his guards, you should know how to pick him up without traumatizing him."

Then he continued, "And this young master is calling me 'Daddy', that clearly shows he needs protection. Let him calm down first, then we'll talk nicely. Or call his mother right now, let me talk to her!"

The man in the black suit snorted irritably. "Who do you think you are? You think you deserve to speak with the Harvey family?"

Adrian answered casually, "If I don't deserve to speak with them, you also don't deserve to touch him."

The guard's patience this time was truly exhausted. The two men tried again to reach for the boy under the bench without paying attention to Adrian. However, Adrian's hands quickly twisted both men's arms.

"Aaarrrggghhhh!" Both men groaned in pain.

Shocked by Adrian's attack, the two suited men launched a counterattack by directing punches with their other hands. But Adrian managed to avoid them by tilting his body slightly without getting up from his seat.

In an instant, Adrian launched a counterattack, his long fingers pressing a vital point on the large-bodied man's wrist. The man immediately felt numbness spreading from his hand to his shoulder.

The man shouted in panic while trying to move his suddenly paralyzed hand, "What did you do?!"

The thin man beside him didn't stay still. He launched a kick toward Adrian's head. But Adrian, with minimal movement, managed to avoid the kick.

His free hand moved quickly, catching the man's ankle and pressing a vital point on his leg. The thin man immediately felt a painful electric shock spreading throughout his leg.

The thin man fell with a grimacing face in pain.

The large-bodied man tried to attack Adrian with his one still-functioning hand. "Demon! Take this!"

But that was a stupid decision, because Adrian pressed the vital point on his other wrist again. As a result, both of the man's hands were completely paralyzed.

"Arrrghhh!"

The thin man who had fallen tried to crawl backward with a pale face. "Y-You, who are you really?!"

Before Adrian could answer, the roar of a car engine was heard approaching. A large black SUV stopped hard in front of them. Its doors opened and five other men in black suits got out hurriedly.

Ansal under the bench became even more frightened. "Daddy..."

"Relax," Adrian whispered without taking his eyes off the five new men. "I'm not going anywhere."

A man who had a tattoo on his neck stepped forward with an intimidating gaze. He looked like the leader of the group.

"Enough of the games. Hand over the Young Master now, or we'll use rough methods."

Adrian remained sitting casually on the bench, even crossing his legs. "Rough methods? You've been using rough methods all along. And look at the results."

The leader glanced at his two colleagues who were still groaning in pain, one with both hands hanging uselessly, the other crawling with legs still trembling.

His gaze at Adrian changed, from threat to high alertness. "You're not an ordinary person, it seems."

He continued his words with a firm, pressing tone, "But you're playing with fire. The Harvey family isn't an opponent you can casually mock."

Adrian answered indifferently, "And I'm also not someone who likes to look for trouble."

Adrian glanced briefly toward Ansal. "But this child asked for protection. Until there's a reasonable explanation for why he's scared half to death of his own family's guards, I won't hand him over."

Adrian turned to see Elysia, wearing an elegant, shimmering black dress, standing behind him. He answered casually, "This is a restaurant. Of course, I'm here to eat."Elysia sighed in annoyance. This wasn't the time to argue. In a low, urgent voice, she said, "Ad, we're over. You don't need to prove anything anymore. Your presence here won't change anything about our relationship!"Elysia's eyebrows arched upwards, then she continued in a tone that sounded understanding. "Just save your money for things that are more useful for you!"Adrian frowned. "You think I'm here because of you?" The man laughed bitterly.Elysia sighed softly. "Then what else? I know you must be really angry with me right now! You must want to show me that you're capable enough to pay for a meal here!"Elysia raised both hands. "Stop this foolish drama! It's not efficient! You'd be better off just saving your money!"Adrian shook his head. "You're overconfident, Elysia."Elysia sighed in frustration. She didn't

Adrian arranged the plates and spoons on the dish rack. "Yup."Jaylin's gaze was probing as he noticed two plates, two spoons, and a few glasses newly arranged on the rack. "Did she eat here?"Jaylin's brow furrowed deeply.Adrian then recounted his meeting with Ansel and Evelina Harvey's visit to his shop. Jaylin listened to Adrian's story with his arms crossed, his expression shifting from curiosity to seriousness. When Adrian got to the part where Evelina scornfully rejected the Kandila medicine, Jaylin shook his head slowly. "That's insane. You gave a prediction that detailed, and she just blew it off. She's gonna regret it so much if Ansel ends up beyond help because of her aunt's pride."Adrian came out of the kitchen and sat on the wooden bench facing the plant shelves. "Well, I can only tell them. I can't force help on someone who doesn't want it."That night at 7:30 PM, Adrian's phone buzzed with a new message in the chat app from Everett Bradly."Don't forget to come to the

Adrian crouched down, bringing his eyes level with Ansel's. His voice was gentle but clear. "I want to take care of you, Ansel. But your mommy doesn't trust me."He glanced at Evelina for a moment, then turned back to Ansel. "She wants to pay me, wants to watch me, as if I'm a criminal. That means she doesn't believe I can protect you properly."The statement was simple, honest, and directly pointed to who was really creating the deadlock. With his innocent logic, Ansel understood immediately. The boy looked at Evelina, his eyes full of questions and disappointment. "Mommy, why don't you trust Daddy Adrian?"Evelina jolted. She hadn't expected Adrian to turn the situation around in such a direct, heartfelt way aimed straight at Ansel.Evelina crouched down and spoke softly again, "Ansel, there are many things you don't understand yet. The world isn't as simple as good people and bad people."She shot a brief glare at Adrian, her eyes still blazing with anger. "Adults have to think fur

She stepped forward, approaching Adrian, her green eyes blazing with restrained emotion. "You think this is a game? This is a child's life! Not a high school biology experiment! Do you want to make Ansel a guinea pig for your absurd theory?"Adrian didn't answer, only looked at her calmly. But that calmness actually made Evelina even more furious. The woman didn't stop talking, "You have no practice license, no clear medical background, this place isn't even sterile! Completely unsuitable for Ansel's environment, let alone a clinic!"Her voice grew louder, "This isn't about certificates. This is about responsibility! Responsibility you clearly don't have!"For a moment Evelina fell silent, her chest visibly rising and falling from anger and the muscles in her neck slightly tensing."I didn't come here to debate treatment theories. I came here for Ansel. I want to see his condition directly right now!"After unleashing all her anger and anxiety, Evelina no longer asked for permission.

"Do you have to call me Daddy? Don't you have a Daddy?"Ansel shook his head slowly, his face suddenly gloomy."I don't have one. Mommy Evelina said my Daddy and my Mommy already went to heaven when I was a baby."Adrian fell silent. His chest felt tight. This little boy, with all the luxury surrounding his life, turned out to have grown up without ever feeling the embrace of his own biological parents.Ansel was silent for a moment, staring at the remaining bread in his hand. Then, as if looking for another topic, he asked in a small voice, "D-Daddy, I don't like this bread. Can I eat something else?"Adrian sighed softly. Ansel did look like he was from a wealthy family, his tongue must be rebelling when eating cheap bread that was coarse with artificial chocolate flavor.Even so, Adrian smiled. Ansel looked polite by not criticizing the bread he was given at all. Adrian thought for a moment. "How about fried eggs? Do you like them?" Ansel nodded eagerly. "Yes, I like fried eggs!"

The tattooed man sneered cynically, "That's the Harvey family's business. You have no right to interfere. Hand over the child, or we'll take him by force!"Adrian clicked his tongue in annoyance. "I already said, I'm not looking for trouble. But you keep forcing it."The tattooed man was no longer patient. "Finish that man!"Two guards from behind him immediately advanced. One approached the bench from the left, one from the right. They considered Adrian, who was still sitting, an easy target. But they were dead wrong. When the two men approached, both of Adrian's hands rested on the bench and both his legs shot out like springs, kicking right in the solar plexus of each man."Huh—!" Both men were thrown backward, staggering while holding their stomachs, breath caught and faces pale. They fell sitting down, unable to get up.The tattooed man growled, "Damn—!" then signaled to two other guards. "The rest, attack!"But before the two men could launch any attack, Adrian threw silver need
