The sharp sound of the paper shredder roared through the massive office. White strips of paper fell into the plastic bin like snow. The fifty million dollar loan was completely gone, cut into tiny pieces in less than ten seconds.

Richard Sterling stared at the shredder, his eyes wide open in pure terror. His face turned dark red, and he clutched his left chest with his thick hand. He staggered back three steps and collapsed heavily into the leather chair behind him.

"My loan... my company..." Richard gasped out, his voice weak and raspy. "You just destroyed my life work in five seconds!"

Lucas sat back in his executive chair, completely unbothered. He smoothed the sleeve of his dark suit jacket with a calm hand.

"Thomas," Lucas said in a cold, clear voice. "Issue an immediate notice to every commercial bank in this city. Freeze every single line of credit extended to Sterling Enterprises starting right now."

"Understood, Young Master," Butler Thomas replied with a crisp bow. He typed a quick command into his tablet, sending the master order out to all financial networks.

That was the final blow. Without credit, Sterling Enterprises could not buy raw materials, pay their factory workers, or settle their old bank debts.

Julian watched the tablet screen flash green, signaling that their company accounts were officially frozen. A dark wave of pure rage filled his head, wiping away all his fear. He lost his mind completely. He had lost his shoes, his dignity, his party, and now his family wealth, all because of the man he used to bully every day.

"You bastard!" Julian screamed at the top of his lungs, his face twisted in madness. "I will kill you!"

Julian leapt forward from the carpet, charging toward the mahogany desk with his fists raised high. He aimed straight for Lucas's face, desperate to draw blood.

Lucas did not even flinch. He did not move a single inch in his chair.

Before Julian could get within two feet of the desk, a bright red shape moved like lightning from the side of the room.

Victoria Thorne stepped into Julian's path. She grabbed Julian's outstretched arm, twisted his wrist sharply, and drove her elbow straight into his chest.

Oof!

Julian lost all the air in his lungs. Before he could recover, Victoria kicked the back of his knee with her sharp high heel. Julian crashed hard onto his face on the thick rug. Victoria placed her foot firmly on his back, pinning him to the floor with zero effort.

Two tall guards in dark suits rushed forward instantly, grabbing Julian's arms and locking them behind his back.

"Keep your filthy hands off the Young Master," Victoria said, her voice dropping like liquid ice as she adjusted her red dress.

Julian panted heavily, his face pressed flat against the carpet. "Lucas! You coward! Hide behind a woman like you always do! You are nothing without your grandfather's money!"

Lucas stood up slowly from his main chair. He walked around the large wooden desk, his quiet leather shoes making soft sounds against the floor. He stopped right beside Julian’s head.

Slowly, Lucas raised his right shoe and pressed the heavy leather sole right onto Julian’s right hand, which was stretched out on the floor.

Lucas applied steady, firm pressure.

"Arrgh! Stop! My hand!" Julian shrieked in pain, trying to pull his fingers away, but Lucas held his foot down tightly.

"Do you remember three days ago, Julian?" Lucas asked softly, looking down at the crying heir. "You came into my house. You wrapped your arm around my wife. You slapped your gold pen onto my table and called me a dog."

Julian sobbed, his knuckles turning white under the heavy boot. "I was wrong! I am sorry! Please let go!"

"Do you remember two days ago at the restaurant?" Lucas continued, pressing down just a little harder. "You boasted to the whole city that you were going to buy my wife a mansion with my bank's money. You told everyone I was a stay-at-home loser who could only wash dishes."

"I was stupid! I was arrogant!" Julian screamed, tears and sweat soaking into the carpet beneath his face. "Please, Lucas! Spare my family!"

"For three years, I cooked your food, swept your floors, and took your insults without saying a single word," Lucas said, his voice flat and heavy like a mountain. "I stayed silent because I promised my dying grandfather. You thought I was weak. You thought I was trash you could step on whenever you felt like it."

Lucas lifted his shoe off Julian’s hand. Julian quickly pulled his red, swollen fingers back to his chest, crying like a beaten child.

Richard sat frozen in his chair, watching his proud son getting crushed on the floor. Tears ran down his old face. He slid off the chair and dropped onto both knees before Lucas, bowing his head until his forehead touched the floor.

"Young Master Vance!" Richard pleaded, his voice breaking into ugly sobs. "Please have mercy on us! My son is an idiot! Punch him, break his legs, do whatever you want to him! But please do not destroy Sterling Enterprises! Thousands of people work for my company! Give us one more chance to pay back our debts!"

Lucas walked back to his desk and picked up a clear blue folder that Victoria had placed there earlier.

He opened the folder and threw a single white sheet of paper right in front of Richard's face.

Richard looked up through his blurry tears, scanning the financial numbers printed on the page. His face turned even paler than before, and his breath hitched in his throat.

"What... what is this?" Richard whispered, his voice shaking violently.

"That is your company's real financial audit report," Lucas explained coldly. "Your factory debts are three times higher than what you claimed on your public records. You owe twelve million dollars to raw material suppliers, fifteen million in unpaid bank interest, and eight million in worker wages."

Lucas pointed his finger straight at the bottom line of the document, where a bright red bold calculation was printed in clear numbers.

"Without that fifty million dollar loan from my bank to cover your massive lies," Lucas declared in a loud, firm voice that filled the entire room, "Sterling Enterprises will go bankrupt in exactly seven days."
