Melvin doesn't like receiving reports with flaws. So, Joan instructed some of his men to furtively wait on Jones as he pretended to be off, which made the agents to cease fire.

Jones' picture was all over their phones, so it wasn't difficult for them to identify him.

 They trailed them.

“Hey papi... We got company,” Daniel said, looking at the rearview mirror.

“Keep moving… Lose them, can you do that?” Jones asked, but it sounded more like a command.

“Sure!” Daniel replied as he hit on the accelerator. He finally started slowing down after a couple of minutes because of the traffic lights ahead.

“Don't slow down…keep moving.” Jones commanded.

He did as he was instructed. He kept moving, and the gang followed suit. Authority pursued them since they refused to pull-over for the traffic lights. It was definitely Jones' plan to get the police raider on them.

The chase was no longer uniform as both cars were chased. Daniel swerved into a different lane as directed by Jones, hoping Joan's lackeys will follow them, but they actually followed a different lane as they were also suspects to the police.

Joan's lackeys were in a black SUV. The SUV was thundering along the freeway, leaving a line of dazed cars in its wake.

Scott Walton, an FBI agent, hurried over to his brand-new police issue Patrol car and jumped into the front seat. His tactical gear conformed to his muscular built body.

He felt his car roar to life when he pressed the start button. Scott shot out of the police garage and onto the street, the lights, and siren blazing.

As Scott slid the patrol car onto the freeway smoothly. He slammed his foot down on the accelerator and unleashed its fury. Its speed was at its peak in a few seconds.

They had obviously seen Scott because he went into a drift and spun around into the opposite lane of traffic and hurtled.

Scott was not going to give up that easily though, He's an FBI agent, and he worked for the government in getting down law offenders. He spotted ahead of him a huge car carrier truck with nothing on the back ramp.

“Nice timing,” he thought, as he roared up the ramp at an angle and flew off the edge onto the other side of the road, still maintaining his speed.

He landed smoothly, but Melvin lackey's car speed towards him, attempting to hit, but he flicked a switch on the dash, tilting onto two wheels. He shot past the Melvin lackey's car in a flash and flicked the switch back down, and the car righted itself at once.

“Got eyes on them.” Scott reported the scene.

He glanced down at his GPS and saw that the SUV had crashed and caused a serious traffic jam since they miss him.

“Man… We have to go,” one of Melvin's lackeys who was still conscious said, and clambered out of the wrecked car slowly.

He saw a patrol car pull up beside him, and his worst fear got out of the driver's seat. Scott pulled a set of handcuffs from his belt and stepped up to him and said calmly,

“Looks like my car won another match, and now I guess you and your men will be coming with me, we good?” he handcuffed him and called for the ambulance for the other.

Meanwhile, Daniel and Jones were in a red sedan car and were also being chased by the police. They managed to speed by the police and drove away. Speeding erratically, trying much not to hit other cars, and finally coming to a stop before the car lost a tyre.

They got out of the car and ran into the rough road which cut through forested land.

“Man…that was too close.” Daniel panted after they finally got over the police.

“Yeah… I know.” Jones said causally.

“I ain't taking chances like that anymore.” Daniel exhaled heavily. “For real. What if we were caught… Huh?”

“That will be the least of the things I will think of. You won the auto sport award two years ago." Jones stated, trying to remind Daniel of the undeniable skills he has in driving.

“And I got busted, my life became…" He didn't finish before Jones interrupted.

“Let's not talk about it. My expectations of you are high. Believe it or not.” He said as he hit the forested road.

“Come on”. He beckoned on Daniel.

  • Teaming Up

Detective Jason stood with a group of armed police officers at the edge of the forest. Armored cars and patrol cars were parked everywhere. Forensics roamed around with files.“Here's all we found.” One of the forensics said and handed over a document to Jason. He took the document with the stacks of photos of the escaped prisoners. He first looked at a photo of Jones' face, trailing it down to his body.“An Architect, right?” He asked and Officer Alex, who was beside him, nodded affirmatively.“Why is the occupation showing unemployed? He is supposed to be working for different companies and such people ain't expect to take bad turns accidentally. Hmmm,” He peered through his sunglasses at a photo of Jones' body tentatively. After staring for long and getting no glimpse of anything, he sighed and ordered the FBI unit to set a perimeter, so that Jones and the other prisoners couldn't elude the arrest, since he believed they were still in the forest.During his drive to his office, a

He felt gullible, trusting that silky voice of Jones and falling prey to his plans.“I thought you were to be trusted. What happened to all the trust I had in you? The faith, everything I have taught you all these years we've been working together.” He added, breathe out heavily and finally took his seat.“Sir Aaron, I didn't…" Officer Alex was interrupted before he could even utter the next word.“Don't address me by my name.
