The Marian Hotel’s royal hall was open for the first time in years. It was the grandest banquet location not only in the hotel but in the entire county.

Silas Anderson had built it a decade back with a donation from the royal family of Petra. The large scintillating chandeliers, rare imported fixtures, mosaic stone walls, Tuscany marble floors, and Barcelona glass tables gave the banquet hall a resemblance to something from a Victorian fantasy novel.

However, the hall was almost empty even though the entry time had approached. The reason was—even though the Douglas family had announced a grand banquet, they never sent out invitations.

However, a large crowd gathered outside the hall, waiting to be allowed inside. It comprised top billionaires of Petra County, top celebrities, senators and congressmen, eminent artist figures, and so on.

God's voice boomed like a hangman's. "I've come down for one reason. To take my granddaughter Natalie with me into the divine void. She is an anomaly, born outside the weave of my creation. Her existence risks destabilizing the universe and triggering a crisis. She must return to nature and dissolve into the source."Then, before anybody could respond, without any warning, God snapped his fingers. Natalie's body began to shimmer then, as if it were a water ripple. The edges of her outline shivered. The young woman's body turned into light particles, drifting away like mist in the wind. She gasped, reaching for Tyler with her eyes streaming. "No… Wait… This is too soon…"Tyler jumped to his feet, releasing his seraphim wings with an explosion of power. He roared in defiance, brandishing the Excalibur, which appeared in his grip with a crack. "No! You might be God, but I won't let you take Natalie!"Just as planned, Victor unlocked his abilities instantly, all his limiters shattering. D

  • 328 GOD

"My children," the ancient figure said, his voice resonating like the deepest chord of the universe. "There is no need to kneel before me. You are all made in my image, after all. You are flawed, beautiful, and striving. Rise and let me see you properly."The group had knelt as soon as Natalie recognized it was God himself. Now, they obeyed his command, slowly rising from their knees in the ash, the overpowering devotion still beating in their chests like a shared heartbeat.Kat stood first, helping Mamushi up. Her face was a mix of awe and surprise. Yara's Lilith form was subdued entirely now, as if God's presence had cured her of the demoness' possession. Her eyes were fixed on the ten-foot-tall man with flowing white hair and beard, his simple white gown strangely untouched by the ruin around him.Victor's team—Kate Harper and Eva Atelier stood rigidly, whispering prayers under their breath as if they were in Church. Even Victor and Ashley, who knew more than most, rose with revere

The skies darkened further, earthquakes rumbled distant continents, tsunamis crashed coasts, and volcanoes stirred.Victor didn't hesitate. "Limiters release!" he shouted, his body surging with power. He grew rapidly, over ten feet tall in seconds. His form became shrouded in swirling blackness that absorbed light, and his muscles bulged with impossible density. From his back, dark, scaly wings erupted, crackling like lightning.Victor's eyes glowed crimson. With a boom like cannon fire, he launched skyward, soaring straight towards the descending blade. The group watched him fly towards his target, breathless. Kat gripped Yara's arm. "I have a sudden crush on this Peerless Man. Is he

  • 326 Home Again

"Finally," Tyler said as he stepped through the ancient oak door of the Garden of Prophecies. The ivy-wrapped frame sealed shut behind him soundlessly and disappeared. The physical transformation in him was immediate. The timeless, youthful serenity of the garden vanished like a dream. He felt his body age back in an instant, muscles filling out to his adult form under the majestic Seraphim King robes.Natalie emerged next, her white dress shifting to more practical clothes suited to the real world, followed by Victor and Ashley, both reverting to their normal ages with pops of energy.Kat spotted them first, her face breaking into desperate relief. She rushed forward from where she had been waiting anxiously with Yara and Mamushi."Tyler Grant!" Kat called out, her voice cracking with emotion. "You're back! You're really back! • 325 Hotline to God

"You can summon God?" Tyler blurted out, his teenage voice cracking with disbelief. He pushed his chair back and slammed his hands down hard on the porcelain surface, making the teacups rattle and the tea slosh over the rims."Natalie, tell me you're joking. Did you say you can summon the actual, all-powerful, creator-of-everything God? That's not just crazy, that's completely ridiculous.""No one summons God, or even feels his presence. Not Seraph, not Destiny, not anyone in any lore I can see in the Akashic Records. How could you even say that with a straight face? It sounds like the most insane thing I've heard since Wings Island. Are you sure it's not some trick of the garden or Ashley's visions playing games with her?"Natalie didn't look away, even though she twisted a napkin in her hands slowly. "I get it, Tyler. I really understand what you mean. When it first hit me, when Ashley's visions started guiding me, and I started piecing together what I am, I thought the same thing.

"Don't be fooled by the illusions of the Garden of Prophecies. Anybody walking on its grass is perpetually frozen in a coming-of-age body.""I see," Tyler replied, processing the new information.Victor nodded and gestured to him to be seated. "I assume you remember what I shared with you about the three of us.""The Triad Prophecies," young Tyler said slowly, the words tumbling out as his memory clicked into place like a puzzle piece. He sat at the fancy tea table in the secluded hedge enclosure. His teenage hands were wrapped around a steaming teacup that Ashley had just poured for him.Victor Damone sat across from him, that confident grin still in place, while Ashley Palmer busied herself serving cookies.Natalie—young Nat, in her flowing white dress—sat beside him, smiling as if she had met childhood friends.Victor leaned back slightly, chuckli
