Tyler shook his head in frustration and turned to leave. "I must go back and rescue Yara first," he said urgently.

Britta caught up to the young man, grabbed his shoulder, and turned him around. "You're not leaving until we have a proper talk!"

Tyler rudely slapped her hand off his body. "You saved me once, and I rescued you back! Now, we are even and don't need to see each other's faces again!"

He was really pissed at Britta for dragging Natalie, Gina, and Yara into the El Abyssium mess. They wouldn't have to go through the Goliath trauma if it weren't for her. Thousands of innocent lives would have been saved as well.

Moreover, Yara was still missing, but Britta insisted on talking. Did the Salvatore girl really possess a human heart? Did she think the world revolved around her?

"Is this about the other girls and the armies of Sapphire City?" she retorted. "I didn't invite them to come to the battlefield! Your friends did!"

"So, is it my fault?" Tyler demanded impatiently. Was

The deserted island was a kind of Eden for Tyler and Amelia, with its golden beaches, blue lagoons, and vibrant jungles teeming with life. The two often spent their time near beautiful waterfalls, enjoying the bounty of nature.Even though time passed, no ships came on the horizon, no planes flew overhead. Tyler and Amelia fell into a rhythm of survival. Day by day, it chipped away at the walls between them.Their mornings began with exploration, as they ventured into the heart of the jungle. Tyler led the way, his senses sharpened by years of cultivation. He spotted faint trails through the underbrush. Amelia followed closely, her makeshift leaf skirt resembling Jane's with Tarzan. She gathered edible berries from low-hanging bushes and plucked tubers from the soil."These are safe," she said one morning, holding up a cluster of tart, red fruits. Tyler ate them and got food poisoning for a day. They laughed about it later. They went hunting at noon. Tyler had crafted spears from stra

Bubbles escaped her lips in frantic bursts. Saltwater filled her lungs as she thrashed weakly with the bit of energy left.Amelia's body sank deeper into the oceanic abyss. She saw the light from above fading to a distant memory. "This is it," she thought with resignation. "Drowning alone, unloved. Isn't it a fitting end for a monster like me? It's okay. I accept death."Her vision blurred as darkness crept from the edges. The girl's body turned numb, and she felt nothing. All of a sudden, something moved above her.Having no energy left, Amelia was blind and increasingly deaf. A hazy figure loomed over her in the murk.Something pressed against her lips. It was warm and strong, forcing air into her starving lungs. She gasped instinctively, as the oxygen came as a shock of life in the ocean's deathly chill.A man? Giving her air mouth-to-mouth? The figure's hands gripped her shoulders, steadying her as more breaths followed. "Who is it...?" she wondered. But exhaustion claimed her, an

The Pacific sun shone on the deck of the once-sturdy rations carrier, as it groaned like a wounded beast. Its metal hull creaked under the strain of battle damage.Tyler stood at the center of it all, his world crumbling like the ship's integrity. He couldn't believe his eyes. "It can't be…" he murmured to himself. The sight of Mamushi's slight frame hanging limp in Amelia's dark threads was ghastly to him. Blood dripped from her chest wound that had clearly pierced her heart, taking the young one's life.Something fundamental shattered inside Tyler. With a vacant sigh, the girl's red wings drooped lifelessly, and her eyes went vacant, staring into nothing."You... monster," Tyler whispered, his voice cracking like brittle glass. Tears blurred his vision, soon to be replaced with rage and grief.Mamushi, his daughter, the unexpected gift from his union with Kat, a symbol of something pure in his chaotic life, was gone in an instant. "How could you?" he choked out. "She was just a chil

Tyler stood trembling in fury on the blood-slicked deck of the ship. Amelia faced him with a devilish smile, enjoying watching him suffer. Her dark energy threads coiled like serpents around Mamushi's limp body, hoisting the girl high."Give her back!" Tyler roared. "Now! That's my daughter! Don't you dare hurt her!"Amelia's lips curled into a more manic laugh. She chuckled as her eyes gleamed with a twisted blend of obsession and madness. With a flick of her fingers, the dark threads tightened slightly around Mamushi's unconscious body, eliciting a faint groan from the girl."Oh, Tyler, my soulmate... You've betrayed me yet again… You rejected me, refusing to be my lover. And yet you've already fucked a third-world goddess… and fathered a child with her? How cruel! How monstrous are you!"Amelia trembled and wrapped her arms around herself. "But don't worry… I'll fix that right away. I'll kill this little abomination right here. Half human, half goddess, my ass. After it is dead, I'

"Battle stations!" Tyler bellowed. "All hands, man your posts! Gilded Men, activate the wards! Derek, get to the bridge! I want you to coordinate with the escort ships!"The deck erupted into an organized frenzy. Soldiers and crew scrambled, grabbing weapons from defense compartments, donning life vests over uniforms, and rushing to gun turrets and radar stations. The girls, still in their skimpy bikinis, exchanged wide-eyed glances before darting belowdecks for cover."Check on Mamushi, Tyler told Kat. Keep her away from the violence." The latter nodded and disappeared."Stay close, everyone!" Britta yelled, herding the group. "This isn't a drill!"Tyler sprinted to the railing, leaning over to scan the horizon. Smoke billowed from the sinking destroyer as flames licked the water."Give me reports from the radar scans!" he shouted to Derek. "What are we dealing with?"The Indigo General monitored an array of screens at the battle console, officers tapping away frantically. "They are

Tyler scanned the girls' eager faces again, his mind racing for an out. The weight of their expectations pressed on him. He'd never been one for such frivolity, but it looked like they were having fun."I can't do it. Look, I'm truly flattered by all this effort," he began with discomfort. "You've all put yourselves out there, and you're each stunning. But honestly, as a man with limited experience with women and relationships, I'm not fit to decide who wins Miss Oceans. It wouldn't be fair. I'd be biased or just plain wrong."The grumbling started immediately, a chorus of disappointed voices overlapping in a wave of protest.Britta uncrossed her arms and stepped forward with a frown. "That's a total cop-out, Tyler! We did this for you! Pick already!"Kat pouted dramatically. "Come on, you can't bail now! We've been planning this all night!"Isabella's elegant pose faltered with a huff. "Foul play! We deserve a winner!"Maya looked down and spoke in a soft but hurt voice. "I... I trie
