Time remaining twenty days. The deep red digital readout in the corner of Arka’s eye blinked sluggishly, perfectly synced with the agonizing throb behind his black shirt.

The bionic fibers from Nara’s consciousness chip had now crawled all the way to the base of his neck, pulsing with a volatile blue light every time his heart was forced to work past its safety thresholds.

BZZZT!

A sudden wave of foreign data leaked into Arka’s parietal lobe, carrying a static laced whisper of Nara’s voice that transmitted lines of binary encryption code.

[DATA LOG, Sector 07 Core Energy Node. Status: Queued for Soul Liquidation.]

This was the physical liquidation hub for Neo Jakarta’s non productive humans the processing facility where human souls were stored and fermented into fuel for the artificial sun.

"They treat human lives like disposable components that can just be written off on a balance sheet," Arka muttered.

He wiped a streak of blue bionic fluid from his lips, then looked back at the five Fallen Angels, who stood sharply behind him in their formal black suits.

"Tonight, we aren't playing on the digital stock exchange. We are launching a Hostile Takeover of their largest physical asset."

"That complex is heavily guarded by an entire division of Armored Tactical Enforcers, Boss," the silver haired angel smiled, casually spinning his audit blade.

"How are we breaching it? We don't exactly have the budget to buy tanks."

"We have a commodity far more powerful than heavy ammunition the loyalty of the working class consumer." Arka picked up his transmitter microphone.

"Jess, release the media bait now."

Within minutes, Nirvana Entertainment’s private network pushed a mass notification to the devices of millions of laborers grinding through overtime in their cramped cubicles.

[GLORIA PHYSICAL GUERRILLA CONCERT, LIVE IN SECTOR 07. FREE REVOLUTIONARY ENERGY CONSUMPTION. DON'T LET THE SKY REVOKE OUR RIGHT TO REST!]

The payoff was instant. Millions of humans whose souls had been squeezed dry by the sky corporation flooded the streets.

The usually quiet industrial zone of Sector 07 was suddenly choked by a five kilometer deep sea of people. They parked logistics trucks crosswise in the streets, forming a massive living barricade that completely surrounded the Main Power Grid Complex.

High up on the complex's titanium walls, the sky military commander stared down at the massive crowd, cold sweat pooling inside his sensor mask.

"Commander! Requesting permission to open fire! They are breaching the secure perimeter lines!" his subordinate panicked.

"Don't shoot, you idiot!" the commander barked, striking his subordinate across the helmet.

He pointed aggressively at his handheld holographic screen, which had just received an urgent flash alert from Jessica at the data center.

[Warning, Civilian casualties in Sector 07 will trigger a mass strike across the Financial Sector. Estimated drop in Sky Central System stock value: 70% within ten minutes. Collateral damage costs will be billed directly to the military division's budget.]

"If the stocks plummet because of our bullets, the Board of Directors will recycle us into generator fuel by tomorrow morning! Hold your fire!"

Meanwhile, behind the makeshift stage erected right outside the power plant’s main gates, Arka stood before a local network terminal.

The moment the five Fallen Angels stepped onto the stage and the heavy beats of corporate liquidation began to reverberate, the millions gathered outside erupted into historical cheers, chanting the lyrics of rebellion with absolute compliance.

Arka closed his eyes, his fingers pressing into the virtual console.

"System, force an Overclock on the dark manager parameters."

[Warning, biological organ damage will increase by 300%. Proceed?]

"Execute. Bypass all safety limiters."

[OVERCLOCK SUCCESSFUL, DATA AUDIT has reached Level 3. ABSOLUTE PERSUASION has reached Level 3.]

Instantly, the thick titanium wall before him seemed to turn transparent. Through data audit level 3, the entire blueprint and internal network architecture of the power plant unfolded completely naked before Arka’s eyes.

He targeted and locked onto the bionic consciousness streams of the twelve grid operators working inside the main control room.

[Subject: 12 Grid Operators Outsourced Contract Labored]

[Neural Exhaustion Level: 98%, 72 hour continuous shift without breaks]

[Loyalty to Sky Management: 0.1%, Overtime bonuses unilaterally revoke]

Arka smiled faintly. He channeled his Absolute Persuasion Level 3 directly into the audio frequency of their control room intercom, overriding all physical firewalls.

"You have been working for three consecutive days without a single moment of rest," Arka’s voice whispered directly into the neural centers of the twelve operators, deep and carrying an authority impossible for an exhausted brain to resist.

"Upper management is partying above the clouds off the sweat of your brow, while you are left to rot in this radiation chamber. Your shift is officially over, my friends. Power down the engines."

Inside the control room, the shift supervisor suddenly burst into tears. His eyes went completely blank, falling entirely under the sway of Arka's persuasion magic.

"You're right our shift is finally over..."

"Hey! Get away from that console! That’s an outside signal hack!" a senior staff member screamed, desperately trying to fight his own hands. But the wave of Arka’s Level 3 absolute compliance shattered his remaining willpower without mercy.

"Drop your workload. Hit the emergency shutdown," Arka whispered one final time.

In perfect unison, the twelve operators stood up. Ignoring the red warning codes flashing violently across their screens, they slammed their palms down onto the massive button at the center of the main console.

"EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN."

BZZZZZZZT!

The massive hum of the plant’s colossal turbines pitched into a deafening whine before cutting out completely. The flow of liquefied soul energy pumping into the sky was severed in a fraction of a millisecond.

The fallout was instant. High up on the colossal dome overhead, the neon white artificial sun that had blazed constantly for fifty uninterrupted years suddenly flickered twice.

POP!

And then, it went pitch black. In an instant, the entire sky of Neo Jakarta plunged into absolute, dense darkness. Streetlights died, massive billboard screens went dark, and the operations of every bionic factory ground to a complete halt.

The city drowned in a pure, natural night for the first time in half a century. The genuine stars, long buried beneath the toxic neon glare, began to faintly pierce through the upper atmosphere.

A profound, breathless silence gripped the city. Then, a second later, a brutal, ecstatic wave of pure euphoria exploded across Sector 07.

Millions of laborers threw their corporate documents into the air, screaming, cheering, and weeping with joy in the dark. For the very first time in their lives, they felt the true meaning of rest.

Behind the stage, Arka collapsed to his knees, coughing up a heavy amount of blue bionic blood the severe backlash of the system overclock. His body shook violently, yet a cold, triumphant smile was carved onto his pale face.

He looked up, staring into the distance at the only structure in the entire city center still running on emergency backup power, The High Tower of the Sky Central System.

"Phase one of the physical liquidation is complete," Arka whispered, wiping his blood stained mouth as he looked up at the five Fallen Angels standing tall around him in the dark of the newly born night.

"Now, let’s go audit the executives' boardroom."

In their place, the consolidated forensic audit sheets Arka had seized from the High Boardroom were splashed in ultra macro resolution. "Holy crap! My screen is glitched out in blood red!" "Look at the asset diversion ledger 99% of our soul energy is exported to a holding escrow account for the cosmic entity?" "So for fifty years... we've been grinding overtime like zombies just to be used as a currency to buy the CEOs' immortality?!"
