1: Loufnorths Academy

ANOTHER normal morning in the extraordinary Academy. Students entering, students chatting in the hallway, students arguing, and students who were not ordinary. Loufnorths Academy had the most powerful students, exclusively for those with abilities.

The population of Theós country was divided between those who lived here— the ordinary and the extraordinary. It was the same worldwide.

They believed their abilities were a gift from the gods, but not everyone received it. A child could have abilities even if their parents were ordinary. Gaia was one of the unlucky ones not granted an ability, and she liked it that way— or so she intended.

But here she was, entering the academy where she didn't belong. The academy for those with abilities.

She clutched her book, ignoring the stares thrown her way. However, her plan to avoid trouble was shattered when she overheard a group of girls planning to confront her.

Gaia's plan to avoid trouble failed. In a matter of moments, she felt pain in her back as if pushed by an unseen force.

"Hey newbie! What tier are you in?" Gaia looked at the girl in front of her with glowing blue eyes— an elite tier.

"I-I don't have an ability..." The onlookers gasped at Gaia's response, disbelieving what they heard.

"Stop that bullshit, newbie! Loufnorths Academy is for the unordinary people, so don't lie. Maybe you're on the freshman tier, come on, show us your ability!" The girl smirked, and her two companions seemed to be waiting for a show.

"I really don't have an ability..." Gaia stuttered, trying to prevent the situation from escalating. The girl raised her eyebrow, and Gaia felt the pressure against the wall. The girl had force manipulation ability.

"You really won’t-" The girl with force manipulation ability was interrupted by another girl with ash-colored hair.

"What's the commotion over there?" All attention shifted to her. She exuded authority and high status in the academy based on her demeanor.

"Q-queen," the surrounding students chorused. As if a deity passed, the students dispersed, leaving Gaia with the girl. "You, follow me."

Gaia didn't get a chance to respond as the girl turned and started walking. Gaia followed silently. They walked until they stopped in front of a door with a sign on the side— Headmaster’s Room.

The girl entered, and Gaia overheard her talking to someone inside. After a while, the girl gestured for Gaia to enter. Inside, she saw a man sitting in a swivel chair, staring at her seriously. Gaia's eyes landed on the wooden nameplate on the desk— EZTOR KRAIG.

"Take a seat, Miss Moraitis, and Miss Lintor, kindly accompany Miss Moraitis to her dorm room later," Gaia looked at the girl when the man spoke.

"D-dorm? S-sir, can I just go home? I live—" Gaia was cut off when the man spoke again. "No buts, Miss Moraitis. That's one of the academy's rules. Here's a handbook for you to familiarize yourself with the academy's rules and regulations." Gaia took the thin handbook, shivering under the man's intense gaze.

"That's for now, you two may go." Gaia quickly composed herself and faced the girl who had accompanied her earlier. The girl had already left, so Gaia followed. However, she paused at the door when the man spoke from behind.

"Remember why you're here, Miss Moraitis. Don't do something you'll regret in the end. You've done enough and you've ki-" Gaia shut the door before he could finish. "Not now," Gaia whispered to herself.
