Chap. 11 Another Woman

After an hour had passed, Magdalene awoke from her slumber. The girl blinked, feeling the warmth of the blanket. The smell of fresh perfume wafted through her nose.

Magdalena smiled; the perfume scent belonged to Jonathan, her fiancé. The warmth that enveloped her body turned out to be from the man's expensive coat.

"Nathan," called Magdalena.

"Oh, you're awake?" Jonathan stopped typing on his laptop keyboard.

"Are you very busy?" asked Magdalena pleasantly. She wanted Jonathan to greet her with a warm attitude, even though it was impossible.

"It's lunchtime; I'm hungry." Jonathan turned off his laptop. "Let's eat " words Magdalena didn't expect.

Magdalena sighed. Jonathan is still the same, cold and unromantic. Just now, she was pleased with the attention he gave her to a bouquet of red roses. Now broken by his cold greeting after long time no see.

"Come on," Magdalena straightened her dress and walked over to Jonathan, who was already standing. Without being asked, the girl put on Jonathan's work coat and smoothed it with her hands.

"Thank you," was the only word that came out of Jonathan's mouth.

Magdalena smiled forcefully. What she didn't know. Jonathan felt happy about the treatment of Magdalena, who put his coat on without being asked. Thank you is a form of expression of love that is very difficult to say from Jonathan's cold mouth.

"Come on," Jonathan held out his right hand. For a moment, Magdalene stared at Jonathan's large, hard-looking palm. The man followed Magdalena's gaze, then turned to the girl's beautiful face.

A shady smile rose from Magdalena's red lips. Her left hand welcomed Jonathan's right hand. "Ehm ..." a voice cleared her throat as she agreed to Jonathan's invitation.

Out of the room, they were greeted by Rebecca Rodriguez, Jonathan's personal secretary. Adam's age and has worked for Jonathan for six years.

"Good afternoon, Miss Morris. How are you?"

"Afternoon, Miss Rodriguez. I'm fine, thank you." They know each other quite well. When Magdalena visited Jonathan's office. The girl often spent her time talking to Rebecca when Jonathan was still in a meeting or had a meeting outside. Friendly Rebecca, able to communicate well with Magdalena. A girl who is used to hanging out with a limited scope of the association. It's not that Magdalena is picky about friends. But since the incident of abuse by drunkards who brought him closer to Jonathan. Abraham Morris, his biological father, restricted her socializing and kept an eye on her safety by placing a tight but invisible guard. The bodyguard kept his distance from Magdalena's whereabouts. But watch her closely.

"We're going to have lunch first."

"Please enjoy, sir, miss." Rebecca lowered her head, saluting the two of them.

"Goodbye, Miss Rodriguez; see you next time."

Jonathan and Magdalena walked towards the special elevator. The elevator, which only Jonathan, Adam, and Magdalena pass, is always clean and smells good. The glass facing the outer wall was transparent. So they can see the buildings around the Smith Corporation building. Jonathan and Magdalena looked like two angels who flew from the sky and came down to earth.

They arrived at the basement, the ground floor of the building. Jonathan's private chauffeur was already standing beside the car with the door open.

The black Rolls-Royce luxury car looks shiny and well-maintained. Jonathan let Magdalena get into the car first. He then walked in and followed her, and sat next to her.

"Thomas, Restaurant De cuisine."

"Yes, sir."

The car was moving at a moderate speed, Jonathan as usual. Sit quietly, still, with an upright gaze.

Magdalena sighed, her handsome fiancé still ignoring her.

"What is it?" Jonathan realized that Magdalena was complaining. He had memorized the girl's gesture without guessing.

"Nothing," Magdalene lied.

"I'm grateful," murmured Jonathan.

"Still the same car; you don't want to change?" Magdalena was looking for something to talk about. She stroked the car seat made of selected leather. Jonathan modifies the inside of the car to make it feel more comfortable.

"I bought this car because I love it. I don't like wasting things I've already bought."

"Same with women; I like you. Only you in my life, no other women. Because I have decided to set my heart on you." Jonathan's words sounded flat, but the implicit meaning was so deep that it touched Magdalena's heart.

"Nathan," Magdalena called out with tears in her eyes.

"I don't like it; my woman is crying." Jonathan took a handkerchief from his cloth trouser pocket and handed it to Magdalena.

"Thank you."

"Here we go, come on!" invited Jonathan. He went down first, then ran around the car. Stopped his personal chauffeur to open the car door for Magdalena. Magdalena's heart warmed. Get special treatment from Jonathan Smith.

Without being asked, Magdalena immediately grabbed Jonathan's right hand the same way the man asked him to hold his hand. The girl smiled despite her fiancé's facial expression, flat and cold.

Their steps stopped when a beautiful woman with shoulder-length black hair appeared in front of them. She looked at Jonathan with a sweet smile.

"Hello, Jonathan? How are you?"
