A Storm Brewed From The West!

The mountain air gently whispered to the wind as a Fine-Robe-Elder, stood proudly at the top of it peak.

His robe danced to the flow of the wind, and his slightly closed eyes, gave one the feeling of an unfathomable presence.

But though his face carried the essence of ages, his aura seemed to be different..

Boundless..

Insurmountable..

A master of the unknown.

As he stood with his hands clasped behind his back, the aura encircling him throbbed with vitality.

Suddenly, his eyes slowly creaked open.

“Is everything placed in order?” He asked.

His voice low yet mysterious.

A young woman stood obediently behind him. Her hair skillfully tied up, she was his disciple. Aurora.

Her eyes locked unto his presence, it was one filled with curiosity and concerns.” Yes Master. But there‘s something I still don’t understand.”

Her curiosity got a bit hold of her.

“What is there that you don’t understand?”

Aurora cleared her uncertain thoughts and spoke up firmly.

“Master, we came all the way down from the Celestial Palace to this small part of the world. And you said, to keep our identity hidden? Are there any other motive apart from the mission?” Aurora said.

The Old man after hearing this, smiled.

And his smile was quiet enigmatic.

”You‘re still yet inexperience. Sometimes treasures are often hidden in plain sight. Moreover the reason we‘ve to hide hide our identity, is for us not to draw too much attention.”

There was a deep moment of brief silence coming from Aurora.

Across her face, it was clearly written, she wasn’t yet satisfied with her Master‘s explanation.

“But why here.. this place seems so.. so ordinary. I don’t think there’s anything of great interest here.”

She continued with looks of doubt.

The Old man smiled and wasn’t angry at all.

Instead, he responded.

“Like I said, there’s much you‘ve to learn! There are some stage you‘ll get to in life, and everything will seems not to work in your favor. You tried your best, yet that best seem not to have an impact! You‘ll discover that, The absolute solution to the problem may sometimes lie where you least expect them to be.”

“Remember, as my disciple! Don‘t ever overlook even the smallest ant, there’s more secret to them than you can comprehend.”

This..

Aurora was stunned.

“Yes, Master.. disciple understand the teachings.!

She bowed respectfully and was totally convinced.

.....

Meanwhile, in the primitive shadow of the mountains.

Mooresville village dozed in serene atmosphere.

The ancient like buildings stood firmly like a mirage, whispering the phrases of an ordinary foundation.

Though, it was an unremarkable place, were time seemed to have been frozen.

The air released, was so soothing and so melodious, that it gave one the sense of belonging.

But amidst this novel fantasy, there was something going on..

Thousands miles into the mountains, there was a storm brewing.

...

In the deep of the mountains..

Several indistinguishable footfalls could be read.

And they seem to be falling and rising..

Growing further and further.

“Go after, him... Don’t let him get away this time.”

A group of four Young lads, driven by evil ambition and fury, chased relentlessly after a seemingly lad of their circles.

Yet, the lad never for once slowed down his pace, his feet unrelenting and unstoppable, carrying him toward the edge of safety.

Though, His feet had carried him this far, the fear of his pursuer had even carried him further.

He kept spitting out blood, and was also covered in it.

Seeing his pursuer getting closer and closer, he was thrown in despair.

But when he suddenly looked Infront, his feet suddenly screeched in horror.

And luckily for him, he was able to stop in time.

He now stood at the cliff’s edge.

Now there was no where to run to.

No path to build his hope on.

And below was a bottomless abyss.

At this very moment, the wind howled around him like a ghost reaper.

He was too dehydrated, and was severely wounded.

It was already a miracle that he could hold, this long.

His pursuer closed in on him.

“Brothers, please don’t do this?” Scott pleaded.

It was obvious, their entire faces was twisted with malicious intent.

It also carried some glint of killing intent.

The eldest among them, Marcus, sneered sinisterly at Scott.” Haha.. you‘d run so fast. Now I want to see were you can run to?”

Scott lightly trembled, his heart heavy, and it was with a mix feeling of fear and desperation.

He knew well the strength of every one of his step brothers, and his own was far too inferior.

But at this junction, even if his strength was far worst, he knew he couldn’t give up.

Not now.

Not yet.

Not today.

“This son of a bitch sure run fast that.. I could barely keep up.”

Scott eyeballs were deemed red with blood and pain.

“He thinks he could get away, after all he has done. What does he think we‘re!”

The four brothers in arms chatted scandalously.

“Don’t you want to get away so badly! Why not give it a try and see?” Marcus sneered, glared more intently at Scott.

Scott opened his mouth, gasped for breath to speak, his voice barely above whisper,”Why brothers.. why do you want me dead? I have never wronged you guys. I‘ve always been loyal and respectful to you. Why then do you want my life so badly?”

Derrick, the youngest of them, spat at Scott feet, “Shut the f*ck off.. you‘re nothing but a joke, Scott. Do you really think we‘ve always love you? You think we.. a true blood of the Walker, will stoop so low to form blood bond with an orphan picked up by the road side. I don’t know what father was thinking. But let me tell you! You‘ll never be one of us!”

“What are you wasting words on him for, take him out..”

His gaze bore into Scott soul.

His eyes burned with malice.

However, one of them, Alfred Walker was too in a hurry, charging forward with dangerous momentum.

Fist clenched..

Aiming for Scott face.

Scott instinct kicked in all of the sudden, he pushed himself away and luckily dodge the strike.

But before he could gather himself, he found out he couldn’t budge.

He struggled but it still wasn’t enough to break the chain that bound him.

He weakly glance up, and found his 3rd brother Desmond Walker skillfully holding him in place.

Marcus slowly walked over, and then, without forewarning, he delivered a crushing that connected to Scott stomach..

Pu!

Scott opened his mouth and blood spewed from it, with his intestine almost falling out.

A pain more than a thousand wip ran through his body.

He writhed in agony of pain and pain.

Marcus looked down at him from the victors point and sneered,”Being weak is also your greatest sin.”

Now Scott could clearly assess the situation with clarity.

If only he could also cultivate.

At least, he was sure to be able to defend himself.

This four brothers of his are all martial artist with spirit root.

But Scott in this lifetime aren’t destiny for cultivating.

But before this four brothers of his could strike again he had to do something quick.

Otherwise, death will be inevitable.

This is the fate he had chosen.

But who would want to die like this!

Non that I think of.

However, before the four could take another step closer..

Scott survival instinct kicked in.

Even a snake will bite if pushed to the limit.

Bang..

With a fierce far cry..

He released a momentum so overwhelming.

And charged forward with all his might.

What..

Non of them expected Scott at such dieing state to instigate an attack.

However, that’s were they got it all wrong.

A desperate somebody, can do and undo, given the circumstances.

Scott fist, connected dangerously with Desmond‘s jaw.. the impact of it sending him crashing to the ground.

This!

The others froze upon seeing this, they were stunned by Scott sudden attack.

However Scott wasn’t stupid, he knew, he couldn’t take them on.

And him going for Desmond, was because he was the most weakest in strength among them.

But he also knew, it has a lot to do with luck.

On a normal circumstances, if he an ordinary human with no cultivation were to face Desmond, a martial artists! He wouldn’t know how he died.

That was the point.

Now is the time.

This was all the opening he needed.

Scott took this moment, and sprint away..

Away from the cliff‘s edge.

Away for his dear life.

His spirit was unwilling but his legs says otherwise.

Freedom was within the reach.

Why wouldn’t he run for it?

He could feel it

Hear it.

And even saw the illusions of it.

Suddenly out of nowhere.

A strong kick caught him by the stomach, and woke him from his fantasy.

Pah..

The force was so strong that he found himself being momentarily carried off the ground by a strong wind.

Bang..

He hit the ground hard, it didn’t stop there.. his body, out of control tumbled, bouncing toward the cliff‘s edge.

He tried to stop it, but he discovered he couldn’t.

He was no longer in control of his own body.

As he suddenly realized where he was heading..

The cliff’s edge.

A look of horror filled his face.

It was like the cliff‘s edge itself was beckoning unto him.

Scott emotions was wildly flared..

Panicked!

He was desperate to grab something.. anything..

Just anything to break his plunged.

Unfortunately, his fate was already sealed.

Creak..

He accidentally tumbled down the Cliff..

However, his hand suddenly crossed around a precarious tiny patch which was barely unstable to hold his weight.

Bang..

Scott body slammed into the cliff‘s physiognomy, his feet swaying limply in the air.

Fear was all that could be seen in his eyes.

He looked below and swallowed hard in fright.

Then he looked up to see his four brothers staring down at him.

Their faces writhed in cruelty and feeling of accomplishment.

They laughed and looked down at him as if he was already dead.

Desmond was the most angered one. He wiped off the blood in the corners of his mouth and grinned wickedly,”Kill him. I want him dead..”

Everyone laughed.

“You see.. you can only blame your fate.” Marcus voice came down into Scott hearing like a chilling cold breeze, sent to annex Scott soul.

Marcus in the next moment, punched out.

A colourful misty light shot out.

It was beautiful to the eye but carried a dangerous sense of life threatening threat.

Scott expression became pale..

This was it..

It‘s here..

There‘s no more escaping.

Not even the gods can save him now

Boom...
