Chapter 4. Seen a ghost.

Head of the family, Dwayne glance curiously at his daughter, not understanding her intuitive motive.

Then it suddenly dawn on him what she was implying at.

"Of course, I almost forgot."

He slightly turned his gaze at those around."By the way, why's Scott not here yet? Was he not aware of the meeting?"

This question of his was of course directed to everyone.

"Oh, you mean that useless kid. Why do I've to care what he does." Said one of the wife's.

"Watch your mouth woman.." Dwayne hearing this sarcastic comment was displeased.

While this was going on, Derrick's and his other companion in crime were all uncomfortable.

They all knew well, what had happened to Scott. And if news got out of their plot against him, it would be devastating.

Derrick although scared remained calm, while the rest exchanged restless glances.

"I'm sorry, I was late Father, I kind of have a restless night, so I woke so late."

Swish.. swish... Swish..

The four brothers turned to the person who was now bowing in respect to the Head of the family.

When Derrick and the three saw this person. They were startled, which almost have them jumped out of their seats.

Of course no one noticed this, as everyone was preoccupied with their own world.

Seeing Scott, the head of the family, was at first taken aback, then a gentle smile appeared on his calm curious face. "C'mon, quickly take a seat and have dinner."

Scott quietly found himself a seat.

All this moves of his did not escape the frightened eyes of his despicable brothers, who were both, shocked , angry, scared And Confused at same time.

At the middle of the feast, the four brothers couldn't help but be uncomfortable.

"What's going on, why's he still alive."

"No this is impossible, he fell into the abyss. There's no way he could have survived that."

"This is not good at all, why do I feel like something is not right. If the news happens to get out, we would be in trouble."

Of course this all came from the Three brothers and it was a figment of their thoughts.

Derrick watched as Scott sat calmly, eating his meal without even glancing their ways for once.

"Could, could, could he be a ghost who had come back to take revenge.." Just as he had this thought, his eyes and Scott met for the first time which startled him to the extent of him staggering off his seat.

This little commotion caught the eyes of everyone who couldn't help but frowned, "What's it Derrick, why do you look, like you've just seen a ghost?"

Even the brothers also had this look but contained it to certain extent.

When Derrick saw that his reaction was uncalled for and could led to uncalled explanation. He found his bearing and quickly sat back. But if one looked closely, his hands were repeatedly trembling.

Scott ignored this scene, as if all that happened was unconcerned.

But just then the head of the family brought out an ordinarily brown card, it has to be said that although this card looks ordinary, there was a crafted stamped on it that indicates not simple.

"Do you all know what this is?"

Everyone eyes instantly glued on the card, not understanding what the card was for. But they were curious about the history.

But just then, Selene took a proper study of the card and couldn't help but gasped at the discovery and exclaimed excitedly, "What.. Father you got us a card to the Peerless Dragon peak tournament."

When everyone heard this, their amusement was parked with flourish gestured which evidence was undeniable.

Although it was just an ordinary card, to be able to get one, wasn't an easy fit.

This tournament was said to be hosted by a certain group of masters known as the Draconic masters. This master were formidable being with unfathomable power, one of this master power was able to rival Mooresville village strength and comes out unscathed.

And the other thing was the fact of not only was the tournament hosted in Mooresville. But throughout the Twelve other villages.

" Yes, it's indeed the Peerless Dragon tournament card and I believe you all knows what this means? And I've chosen a representative." Said Head of the family, Dwayne.

All the children eyes lite up with excitement, knowing fully well of the benefit behind being a representative.

"Father, you should fully know, I'm more capable and suitable for this task."

"I don't have a problem with second brother but I believe he's not qualified enough, I'll represent the family tree, Father. And with my skill, I'll bring the family to it peak."

Their various mother's who are also seated, watched their children stepped forward and couldn't help but smiled in support of their own son's.

While all this was going on Scott, leisurely mulched his food, ignoring the contesting drama, displayed by this brothers of his.

Dwayne was lost for seconds, looking at his children with frustrated expression, "Enough of all this. I'm not here asking for who'll step up. I'm here to announce the one I've chosen."

Everyone suddenly went quiet as the atmospheric mood of them became anxious.

Everyone gaze was on the head of the family.

"I've chosen three .of my children to represent our Walker's family in this tournament. And the person I choose are non other than, Derrick and Damion.

Oh, and Selene. She would also be involved in the competition of women's tournament. As for the rest of you, there's nothing much you can do."

The rest of the children although wishes to be a part of the drill, knew their own strength.

" The contest would hold in three days, and before then you three should train well, and be rest assured I'll make sure someone deliver some spiritual harb that should be able to enhance your strength daily. I believe you three wouldn't disappoint me?"

"Yes father, we would make sure to put in our best."
