Darius remembered the sword placed in his father's study; the decorations made and kept in places his mind could never erase.

The sword was placed there; his father had told him something about that blade.

“Son, this sword used to belong to someone powerful. It was given to my father, your grandfather, as a gift and token of their gratitude.”

Darius’ eyes glimmered as he heard the story; it was something fascinating.

“What did grandpa do for them?” he asked, a boy who was always filled with

“$10 billion?” Urter looked at Darius, trying to tell if it were a joke or just something he was doing to make sure no one would even think of standing against him. Darius didn't utter any other word, holding his card up knowing that there wasn't anything else Urter could do to them, it was now done and taken into account that they were defeated. The men in the meeting knew that Darius meant business. There was something about the man that made them understand that there wasn't anything else that would come from bidding higher or trying to remove him from the scene. “I think that there isn't a need for any further argument.” One of the men spoke, he knew it was pointless. Darius didn't look like someone who was ready to leave knowing that he was going to get his will done. Urter turned to the man, his mind scrambling through a whole lot of things knowing that he was defeated by someone who didn't even act like a normal player. “Agreed, it would be foolish to pass an offer lik

Darius was silent for a while; he stared around the room, knowing that each and every one of them had some kind of doubt in their eyes, knowing there had to be a catch to it. There was no way anyone would want to help a company like this without planning on doing something later; it seemed rather odd that he would be there in the first place, but then they decided to play along. “Mr. Darius,” One of the men spoke, looking him in the eye. “I don't know how you plan on getting us to believe that you want to help Miss Katalina out, but we would need you to let us know what your intentions are for this company.” Darius didn't utter a word; he stole glances at Urter, knowing that the man was still looking for a way to make a move on what they were doing there and make sure that nothing would take the company from him. “I made a promise to a friend; please understand that partnering with them doesn't mean I would want anything to do with the company or the power pulls.” He explained,

Even if they were to say it out loud, there wasn't any way to explain what it might mean for someone like Darius to partner with Katalina and what it meant for the company in all ways. It would show that they were getting their hands into something vaster than they could imagine. Urter knew what she was trying to do and what it was going to bring them; there wasn't going to be any way out of the predicament they were placed in, and it was far beyond what they were trying to believe. “If he is here, does that mean he is trying to pay the bidding price of two billion? Why would he do something like that? There isn't a reason for him to even get his hands involved in anything that has to do with our company?!” Ureter was looking at them; the young lad standing behind Katalina was something else. He had seen him at the Pendragon house the day earlier, and he didn't even pay attention to the man, believing that it was a waste of time if he was to put his head into something like that.

Three Hours Before The Meeting… Darius waited for Amara to leave the house, knowing that he needed to be alone before he could do anything like mystic healing. Walking over to Katalina, he sat beside the bed. Having checked her pulse, seeing that she was stable and that there wasn’t anything that would go wrong. “Alright.” He muttered, placing his hand over her, as his body began radiating a bright energy as he placed it a bit closer to her body. Then there was a surge of energy through his hand that went into her body, almost like an electric shock. She was in a coma, but what it would take to wake her was if something to pass through her body like energy. He didn't want to wake her early, knowing that there was a good chance that the shock might hurt her.‘I have no way of healing mental strains on people, but this much I can do.’ He sat there, waiting for her to open her eyes. Katalina slowly opened them and looked around the room. “Amara?” She called out; it was the fir

Urter wasn’t prepared to deal with Katalina or the fact that she brought Darius with her. ‘What in the world is she thinking?!’ Amara couldn't believe her eyes; she moved to her mother, trying to see if it was real. “Mom?” she called out, trying to see if she could hold her. Katalina opened her arms and pulled her daughter close. “Yes, it's me.” Amara couldn't hold in the tears; she felt weak trying to deal with Urter and those other men on her own. “I did my best, but I was still about to lose it.” Amara never understood what her mother would always tell her about the world she was preparing her for. “I could have lost everything; I'm not—” “You don't need to cry,” Katalina said, smiling and holding her closely. “Sorry to be asleep all this time; don't worry, I will make sure that nothing will be lost.” Katalina looked up; the men in front of them weren't even trying to hide their intent to side with Urter. ‘I don't know what he told them, but there has to be a way to ma

Amara left the house early in the morning, trying to make sure she would get there before the board of directors and Urter even had a chance to arrive. The Vermillion group had been turned upside down, trying to find something that would keep them rolling with Katalina not showing up for work. Amara did her best to make sure nothing would take them down. But Urter threatened her, telling her there was no need to hide; he planned to take the company, and he would make sure everything her mother worked for was gone. She wasn't going to stand by and let them take the hard work from their hands. She arrived at the company at 8:45 AM… As she entered, she felt something was wrong, but she couldn't put her finger on it, knowing it might not be anything obvious. Walking down the hall, someone saw her and, without waiting a second, ran up. “Miss Amara!” Amara turned to look and realized it was her mother's assistant. “Bree?” Amara called out, wondering what was going on in her head,
