Alec became so engrossed in the fight that he found himself edging closer to the front line, disregarding the protective barrier his golems had established.

His countenance transformed into that of a battle-crazed warrior, although every strike he made was calculated and precise.

As his spear skills grew more fluid with each use, Alec realized that relying on the system to upload the skills into his mind wasn't enough to become truly skilled—it required practice and experience.

"Ah, kill!"

Alec shouted, charging towards the zombies with his spear instead of waiting for them to come within piercing range.

Swinging, slashing, and even using the bottom of the spear to push back the encroaching undead, creating enough space to strike them down.

Even Titan joined the massacre, as Agnes rallied the younger members of the clan to participate in the fight.

"We can't let Alec claim all the glory!, Let's all kill a few zombies!"

Agnes said, aiming to bolster the morale of the younger generation, She wanted them to lend their support to defend the wall, and support the defenders who were wearing down due to the unrelenting battle.

Agnes, belonging to the same generation as Alec, was determined not to be left behind and witness his triumph from a distance.

She planned to rally the younger generation to achieve noteworthy feats, such as killing zombies, just like Alec.

Yet, as reality set in, they discovered that the zombies, although slower, possessed greater strength than regular humans.

Even a tier one mage would meet their demise when faced with multiple unclassified zombies, not to mention battling a Tier 1 zombie.

The younger warriors of the Gordon clan were shocked to find themselves being pushed back by even the ordinary zombies breaching their defense line, Some of them succumbed to fear with mere shrieks from the undead.

The sight of the zombies' terrifying facial expressions struck fear into their hearts, causing them to avert their gaze during combat, leading to more mistakes.

However, before the zombies could harm any of them, a well-aimed arrow always found its way into the undead's head, courtesy of the archers who had begun assisting the younger generation in the fight.

This strategy yielded better results, utilizing the younger fighters as bait to lure the zombies into vulnerability.

While many of the younger generation struggled to hold their own against the zombies, there were a few exceptions like Arthur, Knight, Agnes, and a certain short boy wielding a great sword molded from earth elements.

Despite his diminutive stature, the boy fought fiercely and recklessly, never bothering with defense, only attacking.

It was peculiar to witness someone so small using a weapon as tall as himself.

Alec turned his attention to the crowd of younger fighters who had reinforced another position, a smirk forming on his face as they eventually joined in on the fun.

He pondered why they had been allowed to witness the fight, and it wasn't until he noticed the clan members protecting them starting to exhaust their stamina that he realized these defenders were not the elite of the Gordon family.

Most of them were (High) Tier 1 mages, with no one reaching the (peak) Tier 1 realm, There were even a handful of (Mid) Tier 1 mages among those defending the wall.

Alec had a feeling this was a test to see if they would offer assistance or merely observe, Judging from his grandfather's nonchalant attitude, it seemed they were being used as bait to draw out the Tier 5 zombie, allowing them to experience war with zombies firsthand.

After all, they might not find themselves in such a relatively peaceful battlefield again, where the majority of enemies consisted of Tier 1 and unclassified zombies.

It was common knowledge that when the blood moon subsided, the higher-ranking invaders would return swiftly, and if the Tier 1 zombies lost their overseers from higher ranks, they would revert to mindless flesh-eaters.

As a result, the clans and City Guard always made sure to eliminate any remaining zombies after the blood moon had waned.

But this attack was different, as a Tier 5 zombie still remained in command, Therefore, their focus shifted to retreating once the blood moon concluded.

The Tier 5 zombie had hidden away to recover from it's wounds, and now it had returned for revenge.

It was still lurking, blending in with the surroundings, patiently waiting for the opportune moment to strike.

"Is that guy even human?, We've been supporting each other, but we can't seem to keep up with his hunting speed, It's as if he's the bane of those zombies,"

Arthur remarked, catching his breath after decapitating a zombie with a slash.

"I thought you said you didn't have any weapons," Alec questioned Arthur.

"I'm using my mana to materialize this weapon, It's a Tier spell of the metal element, I learnt It recently but it consumes mana to sustain it, which is why I hesitated to use it," Arthur explained.

"Ohhh,"

Alec exclaimed in surprise, He had never bothered to read about any metal spells, so he was taken aback when he discovered that Arthur's shining blade was actually a manifestation of a metal element spell.

"I guess I still have a lot to learn then, So what do you think, is the Tier 5 zombie going to attack or retreat? We've nearly wiped out most of the zombies here," Alec asked, looking at Arthur, who was still struggling with a zombie.

"You know, you're the only one who can act so carefree in a battlefield like this,"

Arthur said as he finally finished slaying the zombie he was dueling with, his eyes sweeping over Alec's secured position as the number one guard Titan made sure all the leftover were wiped off.

"The situation here is almost under control, Even if we did nothing, the remaining zombies won't be able to cause much havoc," Agnes interjected, having stopped the fighting herself.

"It's good that we're all here together, supporting each other, After all, we may all grow up to be the pillars of the family while supporting Alec," Knight chimed in.

The slightly shorter guy from the Gordon's clan, wielding his earth greatsword, nodded in agreement, not saying a word.

"Urgent message! Urgent message! The North Wall has been breached, The city lord has requested the elite members of the Gordons clan to move over and support the Lanzt family," a city guard hurriedly reported, directly addressing the patriarch.

"Hmm, why hasn't that old man resolved the problem himself?" the Gordon family patriarch asked, his brow furrowing in confusion.

"Well, from what I've heard, the zombie leading the horde has been promoted to Tier 6 Brain Commander, This has caused most of his zombies to upgrade to tier 2," replied one of the family members.

"Currently, only the Gordons Clan has their wall under control, We are even surprised by how quickly you guys have been killing the zombies, considering the large number of unclassified zombies in your area," said the city guard.

"Send a message to the City Lord, I will take care of the zombie commander, In return, he will owe me a favor," Alec's grandfather stated confidently.

"I shall relay your message to the City Lord," the city guard said respectfully, bowing before him.

"Alec, Brandon, Arthur, Agnes, and Knight, I want you to go to the North Wall immediately and assist the Lanzt family squad in killing the unclassified and tier 1 zombies., Alec, can I trust you to lead them?"

the patriarch asked Alec, making it clear that he was appointing him as the leader of the group.

"But, Patriarch, we can still fight, I don't think there's a need to send the boys to handle this, Me and my squad can quickly sort things out,"

one of the Gordon family members who had fought alongside Alec spoke up. They understood the pressure Alec's golem had been facing and wanted to assist in any way possible.

"You still want to fight? Don't make me laugh," the patriarch snorted dismissively.

"I will take care of it, but what about the tier 2 zombies and higher?" Alec questioned.

"Good question, Well, don't worry, Just as I am sending you now, I already have people waiting to take care of the higher-ranked zombies under the Brain Commander, They won't disturb or interfere with your fights, You are free to go all out," explained the patriarch.

"So, use this chance to increase your strength or gain better battle experience," he continued.

"Don't worry, I won't disappoint," Alec replied with determination in his voice.

It wasn’t as if Alec was abandoning the other soul beasts bound to his bloodline, far from it. On the contrary, he had been doing everything possible to push each of them to the peak of the Tier 6 realm, believing that once they reached that level, he could easily slay a low Tier 7 demonic beast in the beast forest after morphing with them at that time it won’t matter which he uses he would be free to change therefore making his battle style quite versatile. What Alec failed to dwell on, however, was that the demonic beasts he was attempting to challenge already possessed battle prowess equivalent to a low Tier 8 mage in the real world. And if he managed to defeat them while still at the Tier 6 mage realm, this would no longer be a matter of simply fighting above his level, he would be fighting two entire realms above his own, and over his rank.To put it into perspective, even his master Terran, the one called Prince of Earth, had earned his title because he could slay low Tier 8

Alec jolted upright from his bed, his body drenched in sweat and his chest weighed down by the lingering ache of how he had died. Exhaustion washed over him, and he slumped back against the sheets, too drained to even move at the moment. The backlash from using his Energy Eyes for such a prolonged time during battle was still gnawing at him even after his consciousness returned back to his body. After briefly reflecting on what he could do differently in the future against the Caterpillar-like beast, Alec turned his gaze toward Knight’s ongoing Spirit equipment refinement. What he saw startled him, the astral image of the human elder was no longer alone, by his side were two additional human figures of the same Astral form now hovered beside it, working as though they were assistants aiding the elder in the forging process with things like rune engravings and some other enchantments. For the first time, Alec realized the system was capable of manifesting more than one astral helper

Bang! The Caterpillar’s body slammed into the ground with a deafening crash. Elsewhere, Alec was already climbing out of the crater where he had fallen, his werewolf transformation had been undone, and the Bloody Changdao had reverted from its second seal lying somewhere in the crater. Alec spat out a mouthful of blood, his body trembling.During the fall, he had tried to manipulate gravity to soften the impact, but even then the landing was brutal, he could feel countless bones in his body creaking under the strain, some broken beyond what his regeneration could handle in minutes.“So this is what it feels like to face a beast with a prowess nearing Tier 8 power,” Alec muttered, gazing toward the spot where the Caterpillar had landed, only to see it already standing again, the ice that once encased it cracked. The creature’s body bore several injuries, though none inflicted by Alec himself, they were the work of his golems. However It wasn’t done with its counterattack yet, the male caterpillar advanced with movements like a sword dance, though no blade was in its hand, still yet its arms flowed with precise, fluid gestures as it pressed forward. In the next instant, the surrounding sand around it began to stir unnaturally, reacting to its rhythm. Before the golems could fully process what was happening, the creature stomped its right foot into the ground and spread its arms wide. The sandy terrain responded at once, as countless spikes of solidified earth erupted upward, sharpened to lethal points, and launched into the air like arrows, nearly a hundred of them flew toward the golems at blistering speed. Each golem responded instinctively, Titan disconjured his mace as it shattered before he crossed his arms before him, summoning a massive ice shield to absorb the barrage. Legion tossed a small cube forward, which expanded into a glowing energy barrier that encased him completely. One after anoth

The whip lashed at Alec from the left, forcing him to raise his left arm up in defence as he used his right to support the left also, though he braced himself for the strike, however the impact still stung so deeply that it pierced through his thick hide. The pain was sharp, but not enough to halt his momentum, Alec pushed forward, launching two quick jabs, the caterpillar lady dodged them with ease, countering with a left palm strike aimed at his chest in return. As her hand thrust forward, Alec noticed a slight shift in her armour, tiny gaps opened along the guard on her left arm, extending up toward her shoulder. Without hesitation, Alec deflected her strike with his left hand, then drove his right claws straight into the opening. His attack tore through with surprising ease, sinking deep and drawing a pained grimace from the caterpillar lady, her expression twisted, revealing that despite her formidable defences, her tolerance for pain was unusually low. Alec had only been able to notice a weakness thanks to Hunter’s strike that managed to pierce through its defence, with his Energy Eyes special active, Alec picked up details invisible to others. He observed that whenever the caterpillar prepared to attack or defend, its carapace shifted slightly to accumulate mana, creating a tiny gap in its impenetrable defence, that fleeting space and gaps that appeared just happened to be its weak spot.Though its carapace appeared impenetrable, Alec knew that someone far stronger and in a higher realm could shatter it with ease. However, he and his golems weren’t at that level yet, so he had to rely on the only option available, exploiting that momentary weakness.
