Avery couldn't help but burst into laughter as the reality of the situation hit her. “Wait— you’re actually skipping school just to go shopping?” she asked, still a bit shocked by the idea. Anna just flipped her hair over her shoulder with a confident look and said,
“This isn’t just any type of shopping.” Avery narrowed her eyes playfully and let out a curious “Oh?” to which Anna grinned and replied, “This is emotional therapy shopping.”
They both laughed, and suddenly the atmosphere in the penthouse felt so much lighter— excited, and maybe even a little dangerously carefree.
The girls started getting ready, and Anna was the first to change. She stepped out looking incredibly expensive in a fitted ivory blazer over a champagne silk top, paired with tailored beige shorts and a gold chain belt.
With her white designer boots and diamond studs, she looked effortlessly high end.
Avery came out a few moments later, looking fresh and naturally beautiful in a soft blue pleated skirt, a cream knit top, and a pastel cardigan draped over her shoulders.
Anna looked her up and down and teased, “Okay… you look dangerous,” which made Avery blush as she joked back, “You started this.”
They grabbed their bags and started walking down the private hallway, but halfway there, Anna came to a dead stop, and Avery almost bumped right into her. “What?” Avery asked, confused. Anna crossed her arms and said, “I don’t want to drive the Pagani.”
Avery blinked, not understanding the problem. “Why not? It’s cool. I’m getting used to the steering already.” But Anna shook her head and smirked, saying, “No. That’s not it.
I want to bother Robert.” Avery covered her mouth to hide a smile and told her, “You’re evil,” but Anna was already dialing his number.
Robert answered the phone on the second ring with a simple “Yes?” Anna played it cool and said, “I don’t want to drive the Pagani for shopping. Give me access to the private garage.”
There was a short pause on the other end before Robert calmly replied, “No problem. It’s all yours.” Anna’s smile widened instantly as she gushed, “Thank you sooo much. You’re literally the sweetest, best brother in the world.” Robert just let out a soft sigh and told her, “I’ll be in my suite. Come down.”
They met him downstairs, where Robert was leaning against the wall in a white shirt and black pants, looking calm and completely untouchable. He handed Anna a sleek, matte black access card and told her, “Swipe this and you'll get the full access.”
Anna grabbed it and joked, “Thank you, Your Majesty,” but he just ignored the sarcasm and told her, “Be careful.” Avery glanced at him shyly, and of course, Robert noticed, he always noticed the small things.
When they reached the private garage, a deep mechanical sound echoed as the massive doors slid open, and suddenly light poured over rows of polished carbon fiber and chrome. Avery’s jaw dropped in total shock as she whispered, “Oh… my… God.”
Even Anna stood there frozen for a second, because even though she’d seen it before, it still felt unreal. This wasn't just a garage, it was a private automotive museum filled with some of the rarest cars on the planet.
Right in the middle sat a midnight blue Bugatti Chiron that looked like a weapon, and beside it was an all white Bugatti Mistral called the “Glacier Phantom Edition.”
It was a one of one masterpiece worth five hundred million dollars, its white carbon fiber shimmering under the lights. The collection went on forever— a black and gold Bugatti, a deep red Koenigsegg built for world records, and silver Pagani that looked like handcrafted art.
There was even a McLaren Sabre worth three hundred million and a Koenigsegg Trevita that cost seven hundred million dollars.
Further back, under softer lighting, were the legendary classics. There was a cherry red 1995 Ferrari F50 prototype worth four hundred and fifty million dollars, a silver Mercedes Benz, and a vintage Aston Martin.
Avery walked slowly between the rows, stunned that this was all just Robert’s personal collection, and Anna admitted she had been just as shocked the first time.
They circled the white Bugatti again, and Avery didn't even dare to touch it. Anna smirked and told her, “You have good taste.” They debated for thirty minutes over which one to take, but finally, Anna tossed the key fob in the air and said, “We’re taking the Mistral.” Avery actually squealed with excitement.
The Bugatti roared to life with a growl like a controlled storm, and soon they were cruising through the city with the top down and the wind in their hair.
People stopped in their tracks and pulled out their phones to film the car, which reflected the sunlight like a massive diamond.
Anna laughed and said, “This is therapy,” while Avery leaned back and agreed that it all felt totally unreal. When Anna asked which mall they should go to, Avery thought about it for a second and then grinned, choosing “Mall Two,” the ultra modern influencer heaven.
When they pulled up to the Aurelia Nova District, the valets and security guards practically froze in place. Crowds gathered instantly, wondering if they were celebrities, but Anna and Avery walked inside calmly like this was just a normal Tuesday.
Inside, under the glass ceilings and crystal lights, Anna started grabbing everything in sight— limited edition bags, custom sneakers, and even diamond lined phone cases.
Avery looked at the mountain of shopping bags and asked, “Where do you plan to fit all this in the car?” Anna just shrugged and joked, “Space appears automatically,” and they both burst into laughter.
They even picked up some fancy drinks and chocolates, with Avery softly adding, “For Robert too.” Anna noticed the gesture and just smiled.
After leaving their shopping with the staff, Anna decided it was time for the “Spa.” Avery nodded in total agreement, and soon they were wrapped in silk robes, surrounded by the scent of sandalwood and soft music.
They had facial masks, hot stone massages, and spent time in the steam room just talking and sharing stories until all the stress between them completely faded away.
Avery giggled during the facial and told Anna, “You look like a ghost,” to which Anna jokingly snapped back, “Shut up.”
Finally, they hit the hair salon to get ready to see Avery’s mother. Anna got soft, glossy waves, and Avery chose a sleek style with gentle curls at the ends— something subtle and elegant.
Anna looked at their reflections and said, “I want her to see us looking perfect,” and Avery nodded quietly, agreeing that it was important.
But as they stood there on the open balcony of the shopping district, they didn't notice a man standing perfectly still, watching them with sharp eyes. It was Tristan, and he was staring right at them.

CHAPTER 103: Rooms Fit for Royalty
Robert looked around at the group for a second. Anna was barely hanging on, leaning so hard against Avery that it looked like gravity had suddenly doubled for her. Professor Darby looked exhausted but still had that fascinated glint in his eyes, and Rose just had this quiet, wide eyed amazement that hadn't faded all night.Robert smiled. “Well,” he said calmly, “I think we’ve had enough excitement for one night.”Anna mumbled something that sounded like she was agreeing, but it might have just been sleep talking.Robert turned slightly toward the butler. “Please show Professor Darby to his room.”The butler gave a respectful nod. “Of course, sir.”Professor Darby adjusted his glasses and followed the butler down one of the long marble corridors. The lighting was softer here— warmer and a bit more private, like a hallway in a luxury hotel designed for heads of state. They stopped in front of a massive wooden door framed in dark gold designs, and the butler swung it open.Professor Da
CHAPTER 102: The View from the Throne
Robert pushed his chair back and stood up. The sound wasn't loud, but in a room that big, it was enough to get everyone’s attention. Almost instinctively, everyone else started standing up too, their chairs sliding across the polished floor one after another.Anna was up first, then Avery. Professor Darby took a second to straighten his jacket, and Rose followed him, still looking around the dining hall like she was afraid it might vanish if she blinked. Then the butler stepped up behind them like a shadow.Robert gave them a small, relaxed smile. “Come on,” he said, and started walking. The Graham Oasis was even more intense at night. The hallways had a soft, golden glow that bounced off the marble floors, making them look like mirrors. Through the massive glass walls, you could see fountains lit up in white light and gardens that looked more like outdoor art galleries.Anna kept turning her head from side to side. “Okay,” she muttered, mostly to herself. “I will definitely get lost
CHAPTER 101: Dining with the Graham's
The silverware was clinking, and everyone was talking in that low, happy way you do when the food is so good that it actually calms you down. For a while, nobody said much— they were all just busy experiencing a meal that most people only see in movies.Anna wasn’t the type to sit in silence for long, though. She dropped her fork after a massive bite of steak and just shook her head. "Okay," she said, looking dead serious. "This has to be illegal. Seriously, someone should be in jail for making a steak this good. There should be laws against this."Robert turned to her looking half amused. "Illegal?"Avery chuckled softly beside her.Professor Darby smiled politely while cutting another piece of lamb.Rose ate quietly, still taking everything in— the room, the food, the fact that the boy she had raised was the heir to the most powerful family on earth.Anna took another bite and leaned back again."Yeah," Anna said, pointing her fork at him like she was making a legal argument. "It ju
CHAPTER 100: The Table of a Trillionaire
When the doors opened, Anna actually stopped breathing. It wasn't on purpose, she gasped and her lungs just seemed to stall out.“...Oh my God,” she whispered.Avery, Rose, and the Professor were right behind her, and they all had that same reaction of silence. It was that heavy kind of quiet you get when your brain is trying to make sense of something it wasn't built to process. The dining hall was massive— easily the size of a cathedral— with a dome ceiling fifty feet up covered in gold leaf murals, kings and leaders placing down their crowns and bowing before a single throne. Huge diamond chandeliers hung down like frozen waterfalls, and the polished black marble floor was so clean it looked like a mirror. But the real showstopper was the table. It was a single, fifty foot slab of black obsidian with gold designs that stretched almost the whole length of the hall.“That table has to be forty feet long,” Anna muttered.“Fifty,” Professor Darby corrected softly, squinting through hi
CHAPTER 99: A Stage Fit for Kings
The Ocean Gallery started to fade behind them as they followed the butler down yet another long corridor. Anna was still looking over her shoulder every few seconds.“I’m definitely going to be dreaming about that whale shark tonight,” she muttered.Avery laughed. “You’re acting like we just stepped onto another planet.”“It felt like one,” Anna shot back.Professor Darby was still shaking his head as he walked. “In forty years of studying history,” he said quietly, “I never imagined I’d just casually stroll past artifacts that national museums would literally start wars over.”Rose had a faint smile on her face, but the look in her eyes showed she was just as amazed. “This doesn't even feel like a house anymore. It’s more like another world.”The butler slowed down a bit and turned back to face them. “If I may ask... do you all enjoy music?”Anna blinked, caught off guard. “Music?”“Classical, perhaps? Orchestral? The opera?”Avery’s face lit up immediately. “Actually, yeah. I love i
CHAPTER 98: A Palace Beyond Imagination
The butler led them down a long hallway lined with polished marble and soft golden lighting. Even the air in this part of the Oasis felt different— cooler, quieter, almost sacred.Anna kept glancing left and right like someone walking through a museum they weren’t supposed to be in.“This place just keeps getting bigger,” she muttered.Avery laughed softly. “You’re acting like a kid in a theme park.”“I feel like one,” Anna said immediately. “I thought the medical wing was impressive, but this… this feels like something out of a movie.”The butler stopped in front of a pair of tall elevator doors made entirely of brushed silver.“If you would all step inside,” he said politely. The doors opened silently. The interior of the elevator was larger than some hotel rooms. Soft lights ran along the walls, and the floor was made of a single piece of polished black stone.Professor Darby stepped inside slowly, adjusting his glasses as he looked around.“This elevator alone probably costs more
