"Pathetic?"

Steve froze. His eyes widened for a moment, and he swallowed hard. The word-short, cold, and piercing-sounded foreign after all this time. No one had ever dared to say it to him.

His anger overflowed uncontrollably. He rose to his feet quickly, his movements stiff with seething emotion.

"Why am I the pathetic one?" he snapped. "What do you mean, huh?!"

His tone was resounding, but it sounded fragile-like someone who had just been dropped from a great height.

Steve's already shattered self-esteem was being trampled on again. And it's Harvey, someone he doesn't even know.

But Harvey only gave him a quick glance, like he was staring at an insignificant shadow.

Then, wordlessly, he places one hand on Steve's shoulder-quiet, yet heavy as stone.

With one steady push, Steve's body was pushed down. He couldn't resist the pressure, and sat back on the ground, dumbfounded.

His eyes are fixed on Harvey, but not with anger. This time... there was a faint fear beginning to creep in beh

The sword hilt in Harvey's hand began to tremble slightly, then merged perfectly. From there, a straight sword with a clean white blade was formed, as if made of pure light. A strong aura emanated from it, pressing down on the surrounding air until it rustled. With a slight movement, Harvey raised his hand and signaled to Hound to retreat.“Go,” he said calmly. He knew that the two demons in front of him were no match for a dog, no matter how strong it was.But before Hound could move far, Leia swung her hand.A silver knife shot from her fingers, piercing the air straight towards Hound.“I won't let you!” she shouted loudly. However, before the knife could touch Hound, Harvey swung his sword with one swift movement.Clang! The knife bounced off, splitting in two in midair.Harvey stared at Leia from behind his blade. His gaze was cold and intense, making the air around him feel heavy.“Hey...” His voice was low and calm, but full of menace. “Your opponent is me.”Leia gasped. Her bod

Slowly, the spiked poles began to move closer. Their spikes lengthened, sharpened, and emitted a creaking sound as if waiting for the moment to tear flesh.Beelze chuckled softly, a laugh that sounded like the hiss of a demon. He stepped behind Leia and put his arm around her neck. His fingers gently caressed Leia's exposed shoulder, as if playing with fear and excitement at the same time.“You can't run, Harvey Wilder,” he said with confidence. “My magic can create living steel—strong, cruel, and bloodthirsty. The longer you resist, the more the cage will close... crushing your body until it is pierced and crushed.”His smile widened.“The perfect end for a man who dared to touch my woman. Die slowly... and in pain.”Harvey stared intently at the spiked pillars. His gaze was sharp, but behind it lay a hint of awe. He had rarely seen anyone capable of condensing spiritual energy into a physical form like this. And clearly—this was no ordinary magic. Now he understood the source of the

The cold air touched her skin as her consciousness slowly returned.Leia slowly opened her eyes—her vision blurred for a moment, before the figure appeared in the middle of the dazzling white light.A man stood there, handsome, his silver hair falling neatly to his neck. Thin-rimmed glasses covered his calm but sharp eyes. He wore a clean white suit with a purple tie that contrasted sharply against his chest—and in his arms, Leia found herself being carried, light as a princess. For a moment, her breath caught. There was something about this man—an authority, a charm, and an aura of power that made the air around him seem to vibrate softly.Without thinking twice, Leia hugged his neck tightly, her face buried in his chest.“Oh, Lord Beelze...” her voice trembled softly between breaths. “Have you come to save me?”Slowly, Beelze lifted his head. His gaze moved up from Leia's face until it finally met Harvey's eyes. For a few seconds, the air between them felt tense.Beelze's gaze was c

Harvey exhaled slowly, as if to clear the dust from his mind. Since the party began, he had suppressed his energy flow as deeply as possible so as not to be detected. Leia was too cunning to be dealt with openly—and Harvey knew that she used mind manipulation, not just ordinary charm. However, it turned out that the trap she had set was much bigger than he had expected. Ten armed men emerged from the shadows, forming a semicircle around him. The metallic smell of their weapons mixed with the scent of the night smoke.Harvey looked up, staring into each of their empty eyes. “So this is all your plan, Leia?”Leia only grinned from a distance, her wings fluttering lightly, like a creature of the night waiting for its prey to take its final step.Harvey tilted his head, the corners of his lips curving casually.“Ten men?” he said flatly, his eyes beginning to glint coldly. “Are you sure that's enough?”Leia looked up, her chin raised high. Her arms were crossed over her chest, but her eye

Harvey grabbed Leia's body again. His arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her so close that their breaths almost mingled. A faint smile appeared on Harvey's lips—a smile that, at first, felt like a tease to Leia. But in the next second, that smile turned into something else. Harvey threw Leia's body into the air once more, towards the edge of the roof.Leia's scream echoed in the night wind. The rope in Harvey's hand tightened, then the woman's body jerked and was pulled back up. Harvey easily caught her in midair, like a predator unwilling to let its prey escape.“Harvey!” Leia snapped, her voice trembling. “Are you crazy? You're really messing things up!”Harvey just smiled slightly. His gaze was empty, but somehow it made the air between them feel colder.“Didn't you want something wild?” His voice was flat, but it echoed like a taunt.Leia's eyes widened. A chill ran from the nape of her neck to her fingertips.“You...” Her lips trembled as she tried to process the sudden rever

Leia smiled crookedly, raising one eyebrow seductively. She shifted backward slowly, adjusting the top of her dress that had slipped down. Her fingers then rose, her index finger moving left and right as if scolding a naughty child. A small click escaped her lips—light, but playful.“A-a-a... to do that, we need to get closer first, right?” she said in a spoiled tone. “Let me entertain you for a moment. Wait here, my dear.”With a sweet smile still hanging on her lips, Leia turned with a light step. Her dress swayed gently to the rhythm of her steps as she headed for the small kitchen in the corner of the room. She opened a bottle of champagne with a soft pop! sound, then poured it into two crystal glasses. However, before pouring the second glass, Leia took a small container from her pocket. The white powder inside glimmered faintly under the candlelight. Her slender fingers opened the container carefully. A little powder slid down, dissolving into the golden foam of the champagne.T
