Leia smiled crookedly, raising one eyebrow seductively. She shifted backward slowly, adjusting the top of her dress that had slipped down. Her fingers then rose, her index finger moving left and right as if scolding a naughty child. A small click escaped her lips—light, but playful.

With a sweet smile still hanging on her lips, Leia turned with a light step. Her dress swayed gently to the rhythm of her steps as she headed for the small kitchen in the corner of the room.

She opened a bottle of champagne with a soft pop! sound, then poured it into two crystal glasses. However, before pouring the second glass, Leia took a small container from her pocket. The white powder inside glimmered faintly under the candlelight.

Her slender fingers opened the container carefully. A little powder slid down, dissolving into the golden foam of the champagne.

Instead of answering, Vanessa just stared at him—coldly, piercingly, and without the slightest emotion. That gaze was a far cry from the warm smile Irish was used to seeing on screen. It was like a thin blade that could pierce the heart."Y-you—" The words almost stopped in Irish's throat. Her breath caught, her body tensed. For the first time, she really didn't know what to do in front of her own idol.Today was definitely not her day. Two slaps in one day made one side of her face feel hot—as if embers were spreading from her cheek to her chest, then up to her head. Her emotions boiled over like boiling water."What does this mean, Vanessa Reid?" Irish's voice rose, accompanied by rapid breathing. "How dare you do this to me! I've been nice to you all this time. I even offered to take you with me. But this is how you repay me, huh?"Irish quickly took her cell phone out of her bag, the screen lighting up to indicate recording. Her thumb pressed the red button hurriedly, her eyes sti

Irish held her breath, her hand pressed against her now reddened cheek. Her eyes burned with anger, like embers doused with oil. Her eyebrows furrowed sharply, her jaw tightened.Meanwhile, Crysta stood upright in front of him. Her face was also red—a mixture of nervousness, fear, and anger. The sound of Irish's high heels echoed loudly as she approached. Each step felt like a threat. She stopped right in front of Crysta, staring at her intently from a very close distance.“You dared to slap me, huh?” Her voice was low but piercing. “You country girl. You don't even know who you just hit. You're asking for big trouble!”Irish's hand rose high, her fingers tense, ready to return the previous slap. But before she could move any further—smack!—a second slap landed on her cheek with an even louder sound.Irish's body trembled with emotion. Her face was bright red, her eyes wide with anger. "Ummmh... do I look bad?"Crysta held the hem of her dress, her fingers tugging at the fabric as if looking for small flaws. Her lips pursed slightly, her gaze shifting to the woman in front of her. Vanessa stood gracefully—every movement of her body looked perfect, from the way she straightened her back to the way her hair fell softly on her shoulders. And for Crysta, who was new to the outside world, the difference felt so vast.Vanessa's hands gently cupped Crysta's cheeks, forcing her to look directly into her eyes. Vanessa's gaze was warm, yet firm—as if she wanted to convey confidence through her touch."You are very sweet and innocent, Crysta. You have extraordinary charm. Don't belittle yourself."Crysta was silent for a moment. The light in her eyes flickered, as if she was weighing those words. Slowly, the corners of her lips lifted, forming a small, hesitant smile. She nodded twice, slowly but sincerely.Vanessa removed her hands from Crysta's cheeks and sighed softly. Her

"Wow... I didn't know Duskvale was this much fun!"Crysta laughed freely, her voice drowned out by the hustle and bustle of the shopping center. She spun around in the crowd, her skirt swaying lightly with her movements. Her eyes sparkled every time she saw something new—colorful lights, the smell of food, and the sound of people chatting warmly around her.Occasionally, she would half-run towards a shop window just because she saw a cute doll or a shiny dress behind the glass. Vanessa, who was walking behind her, could only smile, letting the girl enjoy her own world. For Crysta, this was the first time she had truly seen the outside world—not from behind walls, not in fear. It had been two weeks since Crysta recovered from her illness. The girl was back to her old self—cheerful, energetic, and never short of ideas for fun. Almost every morning, she would knock on Harvey's office door carrying two cups of hot chocolate."Going to the park again, Harvey?" she said with sparkling eyes. However, her request often ended with a slight smile from the man. On the table, a pile of documents awaited his signature. Security reports, construction reports, and even a list of names to keep an eye on.Lately, Harvey's work as mayor of Duskvale had really piled up. He not only took care of the city, but also maintained its balance. Every night, he still led secret patrols with his men—making sure no spies from other countries had infiltrated.
