CHAPTER 17

Meanwhile, at the center of trade of the Koes Sea, an individual is lurking waiting for someone. This person is sitting in a pub, has this person's face covered with a cloak and was just drinking some booze. It has been a week and a half since the Miliq fiasco, and the name of Thomas Jack is resounding all over the world. Many pirates are now targeting him to increase their notoriety, that includes the navy, marines, and the bounty hunters. Thomas is really into something he is not prepared yet, and this person is here to meet up with him as this place is the most likely place the Jack Pirates would come after their chaos in Miliq. This person is here, since this place has a lot of bounty hunters going around and taking the heads of people who have bounties.

At the same time, the Jack Pirates are closing in on the town,

"We have arrived, captain!" Jeff bellowed from the main deck.

Thomas, who was in the captain's cabin examining the treasure map went out to sea that they have arrived at Serty Port Town, the center of all illegal trades. This place buys what the pirates sell at a reasonable price.

"The chance of us selling the barrels of milk will be higher than we expect. However, don't lower your guards. This place is crawling with bounty hunters and other criminals since this is a place where illegal transactions are made. In other words, this is another criminal island." Thomas reminded as his crew then prepared to come ashore.

They docked at the southern docks where there are no other ships are docked, and then, all of them went off the ship after securing the falcon. The 22 of them are now walking, Thomas ordered them to split up to find some merchant who will be willing to buy their barrels of fine milk for 2,000 pendz a barrel. It might sound too much, but the real price of these milk is at least 5,000 per barrel as the milk is just too fine to sell for a cheap price. Thomas, Samuel, William, and Angelique went together. They chose to walk down the center of the town to find some willing merchant to buy their haul. Thomas also brought a sack of a gold which they plundered from the pirates they encountered along the way, and they will exchange it as Thomas is estimating that these treasures are worth at least 10,000,000 pendz. And that is enough to buy them a month supply of food, some rum and then other stuff. That also includes the payment for his crew members. As they were walking down the road, all eyes were on the, especially on Thomas,

"Is that Thomas Jack?" says a man to another one besides him.

"Yeah. The super rookie. He is still a rookie, but he has almost the same reputation as his father. It is terrifying." Followed another.

A dozen more whispers can be heard as they walk past them. And it is getting really annoying. And the word of Thomas being on this island spreads as people came running all around town to report that Thomas Jack is here with his crew. That means that the bounty hunters are now alerted, and that they are now making a move. And now, in this certain pub, word of Thomas being here just reached the person who was waiting for him,

"Ho. I knew it." Whispered the person who seems to be a woman.

Thomas and his group then entered a certain pub at the center of the town, and they sat by the bar to order some drinks,

"4 mugs of beer, please." Thomas says.

The bartender nodded and started to pour some fine beer on the mugs of Thomas and his group. The whole pub was looking at them and was gossiping. Their orders came, and then they started to drink it as they ask questions to the bartender,

"Do you know where we could both sell some treasure and barrels of milk from Miliq?" Thomas asked the bartender.

"Oh, yes, it is at the—"

The pub door then flung open as dozens of men entered. They were definitely pirates based on their looks. The man on the middle who Black and bald who has a rifle gun strapped on his back entered with a cigarette in his mouth. He has a huge scar over his face, and his men looks menacing. Thomas told his crew to just relax and let them be as they are not here to fight, and they have no reason to.

"Hoy, bartender! Give us the money and a barrel of rum! Stat!" the bald man yelled.

Fearing for his life and the fact that pistols are being pointed at him, the bartender just obeyed the order, which is the most reasonable move.

"And everybody get on the ground as we plunder your belongings!" followed the man as everyone just went on the ground to not get himself killed.

Thomas is impressed by the fact that these men are committing piracy in a place where it is filled with bounty hunters that can cut their heads at any given moment. Samuel then looked at the man and he recognized him,

"Jerry "The Plague" Alvarez, has a bounty of 195,000,000 pendz. Captain of the Plague Pirates, they have a trademark of having their weapons contain deadly poison, if not poison, disease." Samuel whispered to his captain.

Thomas heard about this guy, he used to be on the front page of every newspaper since he is also one of the most infamous pirates of the Koes Sea.

"Rumors has it that the Plague Pirates failed to get into the Great Blue after 13 attempts. One time, they managed to get in, but got out immediately as they were not able to handle the cruel sea." William says.

As the Jack Pirates are having a conversation, Jerry noticed them. Jerry approached them, and then, with his long rifle, he pointed it at the head of Thomas. The rookie turned to look at him, and Jerry just smirked, as he is finally face to face with the person who stole the spotlight from him.

"Thomas Jack, the super rookie. Aren't you handsome?" Jerry laughed as the people in the pub are now terrified and scared that a fight might break out.

Jerry then looked at the sack of gold lying on the feet of Thomas and then he smiled,

"Mind sharing that gold in exchange for the barrel of rum?" Jerry asked.

"No thank you, we can afford ourselves some rum." Thomas replied,

"Oh, are you telling me that we can't afford it?" Jerry snapped.

"I didn't say that you did." Thomas says.

And that is when Jerry then suddenly hit Thomas with the tip of his rifle, and Thomas was knocked out of the chair, and he instantly bleeds. William activated his boon, same goes for the other two,

"William! Samuel! Angelique! Don't! There is no reason to fight here!" Thomas ordered.

William tried to argue, but Thomas looked at him dead serious, and William and the others just endured it while Thomas is being beaten into a pulp.

"What is this? The super rookie, has a bounty of 200,000,000 pendz and the son of the Terror is this weak? Ha! Pathetic! It seems that you only got that high of a bounty since your father is a terrible criminal! That chaos in Miliq, is just a blunder!" Jerry mocked Thomas as he continues to beat the rookie and crush him.

Thomas is not fighting, because he knows that if he did, he would be the same as him, a vile and nasty pirate who fights whenever they want to. After a strong right hook, Thomas fell on the floor on his knees while bleeding heavily.

"Pathetic! A weak and wimp kid is leading a ship full of powerful individuals! In any case, since you are weak, let me have your crew so I can torture them all I want. Especially the women, I would love to play with them all day long—"

And then, Thomas found a reason to fight. Thomas grabbed Jerry's leg, and then Thomas pulled it as he then began to slam Jerry on the pub floor back and forth. After 2 minutes, Thomas lets go off the leg, and then the Plague Pirates are now going to attack,

"William, Samuel, Angelique, get them." Thomas says.

William and the siblings smiled, as they then defeated all the pirates in here like they were just nothing. Thomas then stomped on the already incapacitated Jerry,

"P-Please, don't kill me. Spare my life! I will give you anything!" Jerry begged.

Thomas then saw the eyes of a person who suffered a lot in the Great Blue. With blood dripping off his face, Thomas looked down at this pirate,

"You can beat all you want and all, but don't involve my crew and spew things about them. I am 5 million ahead of you. Know your place, weakling." Thomas coldly says.

He then kicked the face of Jerry and then the captain passed out. Thomas then puts the payment for their drinks on the bar as Thomas picked their sack of treasure up,

"Bartender, about the buyer." Thomas said to the bartender who just arrived carrying a barrel of rum.

"North of the town, the name of the merchant shop is LOW&HIGH MERCHANTS. Tell them I recommended you." The bartender replied.

Thomas nodded and him and his crew went on their way. As they left the pub, they were greeted by someone outside,

"It seems that you have grown a lot." Says a woman's voice.

Thomas turned around, as the voice and the presence of this person was familiar. The person with a cloak then revealed her face and then it revealed a beautiful woman that has brown hair and tanned skin,

"You are doing well, aren't you, little brother?" the girl smiled,

"Jacky?!"
