The Will

Mr. Hank sat in his luxurious armchair in his study, his eyes fixed on the fire crackling in the fireplace. He was a wealthy man, but he had no family or heirs to leave his fortune to. His thoughts drifted to Jared, the young man who had helped him carry his packages earlier that day. He had been impressed by Jared's kindness and work ethic.

He picked up the phone on his desk and dialed his personal assistant, John.

"John, I need you to do a background check on someone for me," Mr. Hank said.

"Of course, sir. Who would you like me to investigate?" John replied.

"A young man named Jared. He helped me carry my packages today, and I'm interested in learning more about him."

"Understood, sir. I'll get right on it."

"Thank you, John."

Mr. Hank hung up the phone and leaned back in his chair, lost in thought. He wondered if Jared could be the one to inherit his fortune and continue his legacy. He didn't have much time left, and he needed to make a decision soon.

The next day, John called Mr. Hank with the results of his investigation.

"Sir, I've completed the background check on Jared. He has a clean record, and he's a hardworking man who takes care of his family. He works as a janitor and has been with the same company for the past five years."

"Interesting," Mr. Hank said. "Thank you, John. That will be all."

Mr. Hank sat back in his chair, deep in thought. He knew what he had to do. He picked up the phone again and called his lawyer.

"Hello, this is Mr. Smith's law office. How may I assist you?" the receptionist answered.

"Hello, this is Mr. Hank. I would like to make an appointment to update my will."

"Of course, Mr. Hank. We can schedule an appointment for tomorrow morning. Will that work for you?"

"Yes, that's perfect. Thank you."

Mr. Hank hung up the phone and sighed, feeling relieved that he had made a decision. He didn't have much time left, but he was happy to know that his fortune would be going to someone who deserved it.

Mr Hank slowly walked towards the park bench where Jared was seated. Jared had his eyes closed and was lost in thought. Mr Hank smiled and said, "I found you here, just as you said I would." Jared opened his eyes and saw Mr Hank standing in front of him.

"Mr Hank, what are you doing here?" Jared asked.

"I came to see you. I wanted to talk to you in person. I have something very important to tell you," Mr Hank said, taking a seat beside Jared.

"What is it, Mr Hank?" Jared asked, curious.

"I don't have much time left. I have only three more days to live," Mr Hank said, his voice heavy with emotion.

Jared was taken aback. "I'm sorry to hear that, Mr Hank. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Mr Hank shook his head. "No, there's nothing anyone can do. I have accepted my fate. But before I go, I want to give you something."

"What is it?" Jared asked, intrigued.

Mr Hank reached into his pocket and pulled out a small envelope. He handed it to Jared and said, "This is my will. I have willed everything to you, Jared. I have no family and no one to leave it to. But I like you, Jared. You're a good man. You have potential. Use this inheritance to become successful and take all the revenge you want."

Jared was stunned. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Mr Hank, I don't know what to say. I'm speechless."

"It's alright, Jared. Take your time. Think about what you want to do with it. But promise me one thing. Promise me that you'll use it to become successful and make something of yourself," Mr Hank said, placing his hand on Jared's shoulder.

Jared nodded, still in shock. "I promise, Mr Hank. I won't let you down."

"Good. I know you won't. Now, I have to go. Take care, Jared," Mr Hank said, getting up from the bench.

Jared watched as Mr Hank slowly walked away. He couldn't believe what had just happened. He looked at the envelope in his hand and wondered what he would do with all the will, He felt a sense of responsibility and knew he had to use it wisely.

Jared hugged Mr Hank tightly, tears streaming down his face. He could not believe what was happening. He felt grateful, overwhelmed, and a little scared.

"Thank you so much, Mr Hank," Jared said. "I will never forget this."

"I know you won't," Mr Hank replied, patting him on the back. "You're a good man, Jared. You deserve this."

They spent the next few days doing all sorts of fun things together. They went to the amusement park, watched movies, and even went on a hot air balloon ride. Jared could tell that Mr Hank was enjoying every moment, and that made him happy.

As the night came closer, Mr Hank took Jared back to his mansion. Jared could not believe the size and beauty of the place. Mr Hank introduced him to his servants, who all seemed friendly and kind. He also introduced him to his lawyer, who explained the will and how everything was going to work.

"Jared here will be your new master," Mr Hank said to his servants. "You will do everything he says from now on. And don't worry, he's a good man."

Jared felt a little uncomfortable with this arrangement. He didn't want to be anyone's master, but he understood that it was what Mr Hank wanted.

"Thank you, Mr Hank," Jared said, feeling emotional again. "I promise I'll take care of everything."

"I know you will," Mr Hank said, smiling. "Now, I think it's time for me to get some rest. Thank you for the wonderful days, Jared."

Jared watched as Mr Hank was escorted to his room by his servants. He couldn't believe how much his life had changed in just a few days. He felt grateful, but also a little scared of the responsibility that had been thrust upon him.

He went to bed that night feeling both excited and anxious about the future. He knew that he had a lot of work to do, but he was determined to make Mr Hank proud.
