Oscar frowned.

Annoyed.

Ever since Derek and Geyssa had shown up earlier, his mood had already been terrible. Now these thugs were falsely accusing him as well.

"I'm sorry, but you were the one who bumped into me first," Oscar replied calmly.

He tried to remain composed and act naturally.

"Are you blind?! Didn't you see what happened?!"

The thug shouted furiously at Oscar's response.

His hand slammed hard against Oscar's shoulder.

Caught off guard, Oscar stumbled backward several steps.

His blood began to boil, but he didn't dare take things any further.

He still wasn't sure whether he truly possessed any special abilities.

Perhaps he had simply been lucky that morning.

Maybe the debt collectors had only decided to give him another chance.

The other thugs began moving forward.

Some surrounded Oscar from behind while others dragged chairs across the floor, creating an unpleasant screeching noise throughout the restaurant.

"We can check the security cameras."

Oscar took a frustrated breath but continued trying to stay calm.

However, he could already feel the hostility radiating from these men.

Their behavior was completely unreasonable.

This was clearly a setup.

"So you're challenging us? Where's the owner of this noodle shop?!"

One of the thugs shouted loudly, making the atmosphere even more tense.

"I'll check the surveillance footage right now. Once it's proven, you can leave."

Oscar's voice remained steady despite the waves of anger and anxiety running through him.

Hearing the commotion, Mr. Teguh quickly rushed over.

The panic on his face was obvious.

His entire body seemed to tremble with fear.

"What kind of service is this?! We just got here and your employee splashed us with hot soup!"

"Someone call the police!"

"An employee like this belongs behind bars! He's got a lot of nerve for a simple waiter!"

One accusation after another filled the room.

The more they spoke, the more nervous Mr. Teguh became.

"G-Gentlemen, please forgive our employee's mistake."

Mr. Teguh's voice shook as he apologized.

He knew exactly who these men were.

This gang had been causing trouble around the neighborhood for years.

"We'll compensate you. You can eat as much as you want free of charge."

Oscar clenched his jaw.

These thugs were deliberately trying to get him into trouble.

If his wages were deducted because of this incident, how was he supposed to repay his debts?

"No! We don't want free food!"

"Fire him right now!"

"Otherwise, we'll destroy this entire place!"

The thug's threat pushed Mr. Teguh into an even more difficult position.

Oscar's blood boiled.

Mr. Teguh glanced toward him.

He didn't know exactly how all of this had happened.

But during the years Oscar had worked here, he had always been one of the most polite and dependable employees.

Still...

If he refused to fire Oscar, these thugs might destroy the restaurant he had spent over a decade building.

And he knew they weren't making empty threats.

Several years ago, unknown individuals had set fire to the restaurant.

Fortunately, Oscar and the other employees had managed to extinguish the flames before everything was lost.

Otherwise, the restaurant would no longer exist today.

Mr. Teguh's thoughts became increasingly chaotic.

He genuinely didn't know what decision to make.

Seeing that he remained silent, the thugs began smashing chairs and throwing utensils from nearby tables.

They continued escalating the situation, determined to force Oscar's dismissal.

As the chaos grew worse and the thugs became increasingly violent, Oscar stepped forward, intending to prove the truth using the security footage.

But before he could take three steps, someone grabbed his collar.

His body jerked violently.

"Where do you think you're going? You're dead this time."

The thug sneered as he lifted Oscar higher by the collar.

It was almost as if he wanted to hang him from the ceiling.

Oscar's teeth clenched tightly as his anger approached its limit.

Suddenly, his eyes widened.

A faint glow appeared over his chest.

Nobody else seemed to notice.

Apparently, only Oscar could see it.

Then he heard his grandfather's voice again.

A whisper urging him not to be afraid.

«You must be confident, Oscar. You can defeat them. Believe in yourself.»

The voice continued encouraging him.

Urging him to stand up against the men who had falsely accused him and humiliated him.

"What exactly do you people want?!"

The moment those words left Oscar's mouth, the muscular thug holding his collar suddenly lowered his arm and released him.

It was as though all the strength had drained from his body.

The other thugs also froze.

The restaurant fell silent.

Everyone inside stared in shock.

Oscar's question had sounded more like a challenge than a complaint.

Nervous eyes watched the confrontation unfold.

"You coward! You still dare to ask questions?!"

"Stupid waiter!"

"You should never have been born!"

"You're poor, useless, and pathetic! And you still dare speak to us like that?!"

The two men who had started the trouble glared at him with furious expressions.

Their faces looked even more intimidating than before.

Oscar stared at them one by one.

His anger had finally reached its breaking point.

"If you've got the guts, fight me."

"One-on-one."

The entire restaurant froze.

"You dare challenge us?!"

"Hahaha!"

"Are you tired of living?!"

The thugs burst into laughter.

They treated Oscar's proposal as the biggest joke they had ever heard.

Everyone present felt their hearts pounding.

No one could take their eyes off Oscar.

They wanted to know what he would say next.

"If you lose, none of you are allowed to show your faces in this restaurant ever again."

Oscar's voice rang through the room.

Then he added:

"And if I lose..."

A dangerous calm appeared in his eyes.

"...I'm willing to die."

A crazy wager.

Here's the natural English adaptation, keeping the story intact while removing the Eastern tone and making it read like a Western urban fantasy/action novel:Chapter 15: The Secret WeaponOscar was only one man.Compared to Jinggo and his crew, he wasn't even physically imposing. Yet somehow, his strength had completely surpassed theirs. Even Jinggo's hidden weapon—a deadly star-shaped throwing blade—had been caught with ridiculous ease. What kind of power does that poor bastard have? Jinggo thought bitterly."I don't care what you think," Oscar said calmly. "I've never gone looking for trouble with any of you. As for Damar and Maruk's broken arms, maybe you should stop and think about how that happened. Did I walk up and break them for fun? It's a shame all of you have muscles the size of trucks but brains too small to understand what really happened."Oscar was tired of being treated like the villain. He wasn't the one who had started any of this. He had simply defended himself."Yo
