Just as Oscar was about to sit down at one of the tables, two uniformed servers stepped in front of him and blocked his way.

One of them was busy scrolling through his phone.

Unbeknownst to Oscar, that server happened to be a friend of Derek's.

At that very moment, he had already informed Derek that Oscar—his friend's sworn enemy—had arrived at the restaurant.

Naturally, he intended to humiliate Oscar as much as possible.

"I'm sorry, but I have an appointment here," Oscar said politely.

He had no desire to cause trouble, despite the arrogant expressions on both men's faces.

"Someone like you has an appointment at a five-star restaurant like this? Give me a break!"

The server's voice rose mockingly.

"Don't tell me you're just trying to get out of the heat and loiter around in here. That's it, isn't it?"

Laughter instantly filled the elegant dining room.

Several uniformed employees burst out laughing.

A few well-dressed patrons shook their heads in annoyance.

Judging from their appearance, they were clearly members of the upper class.

To them, Oscar's shabby appearance seemed out of place and unpleasant.

It was no secret that many wealthy people preferred the company of other wealthy people.

They welcomed those with money, status, and influence with open arms.

Some would even shamelessly flatter them if it benefited their position.

However, not everyone shared that mindset.

Among the diners were a few individuals who looked genuinely puzzled by the way the staff had treated Oscar from the moment he arrived.

They themselves appeared wealthy and sophisticated.

Yet unlike the others, they seemed professional enough to understand that every guest deserved respect.

Apparently, some people still possessed decency.

"I'm not lying. I really am—"

Before Oscar could finish, Derek's friend interrupted.

"Look at your clothes!"

He sneered.

"They're worn-out and filthy. Even our cleaning rags look better than what you're wearing."

"You don't belong here."

"If you're looking for a free meal, go stand on a street corner and beg."

The remarks triggered another round of laughter.

This time, the room echoed with mockery and ridicule.

Oscar remained silent.

He struggled to suppress his anger.

What kind of server behaved this way?

Was this how luxury restaurants treated people who didn't look wealthy?

"Get out of here!"

The server pointed aggressively at him.

"You're making our guests uncomfortable just by being here!"

Then he flicked Oscar's forehead with his finger.

The force made Oscar stumble backward several steps.

His dignity had been completely trampled.

Oscar frowned deeply and clenched his jaw.

Weren't these two the ones causing a scene?

They were the reason the restaurant's atmosphere had become uncomfortable.

"Is this really how employees at an upscale restaurant treat their guests?"

Oscar's voice was low.

His fists tightened, though he still tried his best to remain calm.

"Oh, you don't like that?"

The second server stepped forward.

"And who exactly do you think you are?"

The two men advanced together, shoving Oscar backward until he was pinned against a wall.

Then one of them grabbed a glass of water.

Without warning, he dumped it over Oscar's head.

Water soaked through his clothes.

Oscar's jaw tightened.

His anger surged.

His body felt alternately hot and cold.

His chest felt ready to explode.

His emotions were reaching their limit.

Seeing his drenched appearance, the two servers laughed hysterically.

"Oscar, you're here. What's going on?"

A familiar voice suddenly cut through the room.

Instantly, the laughter stopped.

Everyone fell silent.

The two servers turned around.

Their eyes widened.

Especially Derek's friend.

He knew exactly whose voice that was.

'Why does Miss Elizabeth know Oscar?'

His heart skipped a beat.

A terrible feeling settled in his stomach.

For years, Elizabeth rarely met with strangers.

She certainly didn't arrange meetings with ordinary people.

Oscar wasn't a businessman.

He wasn't wealthy.

So what relationship could possibly exist between the two of them?

The servers immediately released Oscar's shoulders.

Then they spun around and bowed respectfully toward the woman who had just arrived.

Elizabeth.

The moment she saw Oscar's condition, concern appeared in her eyes.

It was obvious he had been mistreated.

She ignored the employees completely.

Instead, she walked quickly toward Oscar.

His shirt was soaked, clinging slightly to his well-built frame.

His handsome face was dark with frustration.

"Oscar, what happened?"

Elizabeth asked again, her voice filled with concern.

"I don't know."

Oscar shrugged.

"I had barely arrived before they started insulting me and trying to throw me out."

Silence.

Elizabeth's brows drew together.

Her expression darkened.

Here's the natural English adaptation, keeping the story intact while removing the Eastern tone and making it read like a Western urban fantasy/action novel:Chapter 15: The Secret WeaponOscar was only one man.Compared to Jinggo and his crew, he wasn't even physically imposing. Yet somehow, his strength had completely surpassed theirs. Even Jinggo's hidden weapon—a deadly star-shaped throwing blade—had been caught with ridiculous ease. What kind of power does that poor bastard have? Jinggo thought bitterly."I don't care what you think," Oscar said calmly. "I've never gone looking for trouble with any of you. As for Damar and Maruk's broken arms, maybe you should stop and think about how that happened. Did I walk up and break them for fun? It's a shame all of you have muscles the size of trucks but brains too small to understand what really happened."Oscar was tired of being treated like the villain. He wasn't the one who had started any of this. He had simply defended himself."Yo

The polished steel flashed like mirrors, reflecting danger from every direction. For a brief moment, uncertainty crept into his mind. These weren't street thugs anymore. One mistake could get someone killed.Oscar swallowed hard. Then he forced himself to focus again. To push deeper. To trust whatever power was awakening inside him.Elizabeth was standing behind him.He couldn't afford a single mistake."Close your eyes," Oscar whispered.Elizabeth obeyed without asking questions. The moment Jinggo gave a subtle signal with his hand, his men attacked. He deliberately remained silent. Jinggo clenched his jaw.The amused smile that had been playing on his lips vanished instantly, replaced by a murderous glare. Oscar's defiance had clearly pushed him too far."You had the nerve to break Damar's arm?" Jinggo growled. "Now it's your turn."Without waiting for another word, Maruk stepped forward. He launched a powerful punch with his left hand while preparing to grab and twist Oscar's arm with his right. The moment he got within range, he attacked without hesitation.Whoosh!Crack!A sharp gust of air brushed past Oscar's ear as he slipped past the punch at the last second.
