"Yes. I wouldn't lie to you."

A brief silence followed.

Oscar hesitated, deep in thought.

"But I..."

He glanced uncertainly at Mr. Teguh.

After all, he still owed money to the owner of the noodle shop.

And he wasn't even sure he could work for this woman long-term.

What if it was some kind of trap?

How would he repay all his debts if he ended up without a stable job?

"The choice is yours, Oscar. I've never wanted to hold you back from a better opportunity."

Mr. Teguh reassured him that the debt wasn't important.

The middle-aged man would be genuinely happy if Oscar could build a better future for himself.

He had known Oscar for years and understood how difficult the young man's life had been since childhood.

Hearing those words, Oscar fell silent again.

He was deeply touched by Mr. Teguh's kindness.

Even so, he still wasn't completely certain about accepting the mysterious woman's offer.

The woman reached into her expensive handbag.

"This is my business card. When you're ready, give me a call."

Without wasting any more time, she handed the card to Oscar and walked away.

---

Before long, news of Oscar's victory reached Derek.

Learning that the gang he had hired had been thoroughly defeated made his blood boil.

Derek refused to believe Oscar was that capable until he saw a video uploaded by one of the noodle shop's customers.

The clip went viral almost instantly.

Thousands of people praised Oscar's courage and fighting skills.

Many online users even commented on his good looks, comparing him favorably to famous celebrities who lacked the abilities Oscar had displayed.

Almost overnight, Oscar became the center of attention.

Derek was furious.

He couldn't allow Oscar to receive so much admiration.

He was the wealthy, handsome heir.

Not Oscar—a poor nobody.

In Derek's eyes, Oscar didn't deserve this kind of praise.

No matter what it took, he was determined to teach Oscar a lesson.

"Hello, Uncle Marco."

Derek called his uncle, his father's younger brother, who held an influential position within the city's police department.

"Derek, my boy. What's wrong?"

Marco's voice was warm and welcoming.

Within the family, Derek was the only son and the future heir to the Wigon family fortune.

He had been spoiled and protected since childhood.

No one was ever allowed to trouble him.

"Uncle, I need your help with something."

Derek got straight to the point.

"Go ahead."

"There's some country bumpkin causing problems for me. I need you to take care of him. Whatever it takes, he needs to end up behind bars."

Derek spoke with obvious irritation.

"All right. Send me his information."

"Thanks, Uncle."

Derek grinned.

Without wasting a second, he forwarded Oscar's personal details.

---

Meanwhile, Oscar rode his battered motorcycle through the city.

The sun was beginning to set.

Yet he still hadn't found a way to repay his debts tomorrow night.

He had already tried applying for more online loans, but this time every request had been rejected.

Suddenly, he remembered the elegant woman who had offered him a job earlier.

Oscar pulled his old motorcycle to the side of the road and reached into his pocket for the business card she had given him.

He studied the name for a moment.

"Elizabeth Xalindra."

Oscar scratched his head.

'Rich people's names are really hard to pronounce.'

Without further hesitation, he dialed the number printed on the card.

"Hello... is this Miss Elizabeth?"

Oscar spoke carefully, worried he might have called the wrong person.

"Yes, it is. Oscar?"

The voice on the other end immediately recognized him.

Oscar's mouth fell open.

'She remembers my name?'

He was surprised.

Yet, for some reason, the fact that she remembered him made him feel slightly pleased.

"Yes, Miss. I'm interested in accepting your job offer. But I'd like to know more details about the position first."

Oscar got straight to the point.

"Of course. I'll send you an address. Let's meet there."

"All right. Thank you."

The call ended.

A notification appeared almost immediately.

It was a message from Elizabeth.

Without wasting any time, Oscar headed directly to the address she had sent.

When he arrived, he realized it was an upscale restaurant.

During all his years living in the city, he had never once stepped into a place this luxurious.

The realization made him slightly nervous.

As he walked through the entrance, heads immediately turned in his direction.

Perhaps his clothes stood out too much in such an exclusive establishment.

But Oscar didn't care.

He continued walking forward.

Then a sharp voice suddenly rang out.

"Poor people aren't allowed to sit here!"
